With a huge following and major blockbusters under his belt, Zack Snyder has seemingly secured a deal with Netflix to kinda do whatever he wants. We saw this come to fruition with Army of the Dead a few years ago and now he’s at it again with kinda Star Wars!
Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire definitely raises some questions. Like is this movie a long montage? Why is everything slow-mo? When you join the squad, are you required to just stand silently in the background?
To answer all these questions, check out the pitch meeting that led to Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire!

This film literally like a guy saw one of the cool looking space fantasy drawings showing some cool scene that makes you kind of imagine a vague story behind it but is mostly just about aesthetic value, and was like "that if i made a film version of this drawing" and basically did that. Didn't bother with story or plot or real characters, just a visually appealing motion rendering of the vague impressions the drawing gave him.

I was just curious what it’s like to have a video reach 1 million or 2 million or 3 million views and eventually, you will have your last view. As a musician, it’s seems not unlike a song always having an ending and the point is to enjoy it while it exists.

You aren't negative about a thing just to be negative 'for the clicks', and you create comedy without being overly cruel, understanding that sometimes there is just ridiculousness baked into the process that creates some wild end results for a finished movie. This movie deserved more cruelty. So much more.
