From one jacket junkie to another. Never stop! You're a legend. I've been wearing my Atom LT since 2009; best jacket of all time. If you haven't already, I'd definitely recommend you expand your horizons a bit. Fjallraven, Patagonia, MontBell, Outdoor Research... So many great companies making excellent gear. Cheers
Another great video. You are hands down my go-to resource for anything Arc’teryx. And as a fellow shutter-bug, I appreciate the fact that you took a photo of the frost on your garage door window. :-)
You aren't the only one who's never heard of a 'bomb cyclone'!!! In the Uk, we have a supply shortage of Arc'teryx, and don't even get me started on Arc'teryx LEAF. Being expected to wait 6 months or longer for an Arc'teryx LEAF Cold weather jacket, when someone can simply go online and find a Carinthia jacket is ridiculous. It's far easier in the UK to buy Rab gear in regards jackets, fleeces, and waterproof gear. Chris, you'll have a huge bill replacing your jackets if you get a touch of type 2 diabetes, as I lost weight from where you are, down to about 185 lbs! I've had to spend a small fortune buying 'large' instead of 'extra large'. The sizing and fitting on videos I found very useful, but the stocks entering the UK are so low, in limited colors that I've just given up on trying to buy their clothing! The 'Therm' jacket looks an awful lot like my Carinthia MiG4.0. Regarding comparing the thermal properties, when it's cold here I put on say a LiG with a MiG4.0 over the top. Both jackets are designed to stack so if anyone wants to know the sizes, a large MiG4.0 will fit perfectly over the same size large LiG jacket. If Atom LT hoodies ever reappear or the Gamma MX (In Bitters looked nice) but you can probably guess, no stock available! It makes you why the Chinese owners don't up production??? If stock ever arrives I'll be nosey, but it will take so long that I'd have probably fulfilled my purchases with other manufacturers. If anyone can post any prospective resupply rates (as a retailer) that would be useful as the single distributor in the Uk is not communicative.
Hi, I'm considering purchasing an Arcteryx Macai LT in Relic. I can't find any youtube videos that offer a decent review of it though. Do you have any experience or thoughts on that coat?.
Sorry to say, I don't own the Macai Jackets, but I am curious about the difference in the Macai and the LT. I do know that they are very popular, and have been around for a long time. So I would think that they are great jackets. Maybe check out some of the Questions and answers, and the reviews on the Arc'teryx website.
Great to listen to the comparisons.
Thank you, I like doing comparisons, so that everyone can see the differences.
