    As an older detailer who can no longer spend hours doing my car I have been using this method for over a year now with one small difference. I always use a MF cloth soaked in ONR after spraying, just to remove as much dirt as poss before drying with a large drying towel. It's quick, very effective and a spritz with a QD (I don't use the wash and wax version of ONR, and the car is pristine again.
    I expect lots of purists will have difficulty with this method but hey, it's up to the individual after all and it works.

      Any traditional carwash, will put scratches on your paint, you will marred paint over time regardless of how many buckets you use. So if anyone has a magical carwash that will not scratch paint please show me to it. Or do a video of it. Lol

      @@josequiroz4605 1-Rinse car with water if too dirty first. 2-Spray ONR as pre-wash. 3-ONR wash with Big Red Sponge or several high quality soft microfiber towels soaked in the ONR bucket. 4-Final buff with same towel but dry one obvisouly. I believe that method prevents scratches totally because not only dirt is emulsified and encapsulated, it's also lifted from the paint (at a microscopic level of course) and you only use the best towels.

    Marolex pump sprayers are extremely durable and a very economical price point. A $25 wash does nothing to separate me from the gas station corner wash. I have used pump sprayers for years. It does save a significant amount of time. I'm able to pre-soak, wash with PP V&B wash, Iron X, clay, and apply a sealant to paint, glass, plastics, and wheels in 45 minutes. I have like 20 of them, all different styles and prices.. oddly enough a $2 sprayer labeled as a "wallpaper sprayer" I bought at a garage sale many many years ago is my favorite and has far outlasted mostly all the others, along with the Marolex. If they don't have a max pressure auto bleed system of some kind, they tend to fail faster.. 👍👌✌

    • @bigsandwich1238
      @bigsandwich1238 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would recommend this for anything except a black car. You can see swirl and scratch marks easily on black paint. And it can go from looking great to looking beat up fast. I've seen peoples shorts or shirts scratch black paint. As a detailer myself I would recommend a regular wash for black paint. If you want to make cleaning easier and want the vehicle to stay clean longer you should look into ceramic coating. Of course if you get ppf and its put on properly then you can wash any way you want even going through a brush automated car wash without worrying.

    I adopted this method now since two months. I'm cleaning my car every 2 or 3 days ; it takes me less time than if I'm cleaning it every week .
    As I'm cleaning it so often, I'm using less water than you. It's easier to remove. And, no, I don't have any scratches.
    One cleaning every week : cleaning, drying, waxing (liquid wax...so very fast) = 90 minutes. Because I'm driving 70 km per day minimum. So after one week, it's quite dirty.
    One cleaning every 2 days = 3 cleaning a week...as the car is almost clean between 2 wash, it takes me 15 minutes. Because it's like dusting a furniture. Once a week , I use high pressure for the wheel = 10 minutes Max. Total = less than one hour.
    When cleaning the wheel, I clean the very lower part of the car too because I don't want to touch this part with my microfiber. Afraid of scratching.
    And the result is wonderful : the car is always clean and shining !
    I'm not tired anymore...because after 15 minutes, you don't lose energy at all. Losing energy is not proportional, but exponential. After one classic wash, energy is like this : after 15 minutes = 100 %, after 30 minutes = 80 %, after 45 minutes = 50%, after one hour and more = 20%...in my country, it's very hot now...it's summer time !
    But now, I have a problem : the supplier don't want to selle ONR anymore. I'm doing my own rinseless wash : one gallon of water, 4 oz of meguiars xpress wax, some shampoo (very little...I don't want to have foam)...and voilà : this rinseless wash works very well ! In both case (ONR or homemade), I like to spry xpress wax on panels first for having more lubrification.
    (sorry if my english is weird...I'm french)

    I can't believe all the negative comments here. Maybe a lot of you have just your one car and all the time in the world to just sit and marvel at it. Maybe this customer does not give a shit and would like a cleanish looking car and not care about the few swirls. A few extra swirls OMG not that what is one to do? Get over it folks! It's a car which should be driven and enjoyed. I have seen people here wash their Porsche this way. You know why? because they want to get back out there and drive it, not marvel on the lack of swirls and how shinny and perfect the paint is. I love the people that keep their car so pristine washing it ever so perfectly then placing back in the garage under a cover and maybe take it out if there is no rain in the forecast for at least 7 days out. You see, I love these people because after a few years they decide to sell the car from lack of enjoyment and there is where I swoop in and get an insane deal.

      Are you applying a tire dressing after cleaning them? Even if it’s a silicone dressing, dirt could be just sticking to your rubber too. If not then there’s your problem. Tires naturally turn brown after a while, it’s called “blooming” so it’s needed to protect them with a dressing or some other form of tire protectant.

      I've just started testing OC - I don't like it much - too difficult to buff off afterwards. Megs Ultimate Wash & Wax is better, but unfortunately the concentrate (D115) is not available in my area. That was the reason I tried OC - I can get the concentrate. Now trying another product NoH2O. P.S I know D115 is not *identical* to UWW - very similar though.

    • @Jeeper1378
      @Jeeper1378 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greg Sullivan what towels u using ? I use Eagle 500’s to wipe then the Pluffle to buff. Or the Pluffle for both. Also smaller sections, i first tried covering my whole hood ... bad idea.

    • @gregsullivan7408
      @gregsullivan7408 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Jeeper1378 VERY cheap ones. Good quality ones like yours would probably be better for the finish, but the problem seems to be that when the OC is allowed to dry, it "sets", and then needs moisture to remove. (either that, or very firm pressure, which of course I don't want). These same rubbish MF towels have an easier time with the UWW. Btw, I might try ONR in a low concentration, or maybe even dilute OC to a lower concentration etc etc.

      He already had foamed and pressure washed it. I bet you couldn't scratch it with that dirty onr covered rag if you tied. I have tried a lot of ways to intentionally scratch clear coat and what you see him doing isn't adding any more scratches than a tunnel wash or clay towel. Not even close.
