- I got a woodburning kit from my local Wally World and attempted to stipple a Magpul PMAG with it. The kit was $9.00 and it worked very well I think. It sure does add a crap ton of grip to the magazine. The first tip I used was a fine point tip and I think it left a finish that was cooler looking, but it took a lot more time and effort to use it. I switched to a 1/8 diameter full radius tip and that is what I used on all the back panels and the bottom section. I think it looks pretty good and it is much faster and easier on your hand.
Been using a wood burning kit on these for a while. It really adds alot. I even did my Glock. It makes the grip 10x better in my opinion. plus they look pretty sweet. I usually will write my name in it somewhere for easy identification when I'm shooting with a group.
Good stuff.

thats awesome! i saw a few videos on youtube about it and thought it was cool. I have several glocks, but i do not know if i can bring myself to do one of them. I know it will add to the grip a lot, and i know it will probably come out looking pretty awesome, i just don't know if i can bring myself to do it!!! i have a hard time with stuff like that since they are much more expensive than the pmags
haha i can understand that! well, I probably won't do any of my Glocks. I do enjoy stippling the pmags, they turn out cool and add grip. If I want to add grip to one of my Glocks, I will probably throw some grip tape on or something a little less "permanent" haha.
I probably won't ever do any of my Glocks, but I do believe it would add a whole bunch of grip and if I shot competitions and that is what I needed or is what I was into I would prob. do one of mine. I won't ever get rid of any of them, so why not customize them to however I want them?
What size tips did you use?
A word of advice, get REALLY good at the PMAGS before/if you try a Glock. let's just say one side of the grip isn't as pretty as the other haha. I could have used a bit more practice on some PMAGS. Oh well.
