I always interpreted the Dwemer temples to be temples dedicated to knowledge, as that’s the only thing most Dwemer could be said to worship. Something like public lecture halls, libraries, and arcane laboratories rolled into one with lots of fancy architecture both decorative and tonal. Xrib could be the name of a notable Dwemer scholar, engineer, or mage that the temple was named after, or even a Dwemer city that lies further beneath the temple. It does kind of sound like a Dwemer name. The altar seems to have been recently repurposed by a modern necromancer for their rituals, but I wonder what it was originally built for? Knowing the Dwemer’s love of knowledge, maybe they sometimes performed rituals not in worship, but in transaction to make deals for secret knowledge from Hermaes Mora?

When I first met Thaddeus Cosma in ESO my immediate thought was that he was an Imperial Mananaut. They were void-explorers serving the Elder Council, though largely during the First Era's Reman Dynasty. My second guess was possibly a Psijic Agent from the distant future. Third guess is a reference to some Kirkbridian apocrypha becoming semi-canon again.
I actually saw through captain Valmir’s disguise, so when I was walking up to the place and was talking to me I was thinking “Why is there an elf in the imperium?” and so I check his pockets and found a note with his orders to disguise himself so I then “took care” of him and headed inside and got the mask.

Ah, but therein lies the mystery. If it IS named after a notable Dwemer.... how did it come to be what it is?
@@marhawkman303 "how did it come to be what it is?"
You mean overrun with Falmer like every other Dwemer ruin?
@@JargonMadjin no i meant the rest of it too. all of the stuff that's NOT Falmer... this time they don't matter.
@@marhawkman303 Could you elaborate on what the other stuff is? I only remember Falmer
@@JargonMadjin Like the actual ruin itself..... Why did the Dwemer build it that way....
So I just started watching you, binged the other 3 parts to this yesterday and now this is out after forever LETS GOOOOOOO
This is the last place I would expect to see a Morgan and Morgan ad. Good for you on the sponsorship! Always a good day when you upload.
Loved the whole Iceberg Nate, you did an amazing job man, I love your content and will keep following for a long long time, until the return of the dragons
Powers out, got my phone plugged into a drill battery to enjoy this 👍
Nate, you make the BEST videos by far ! Thanks for uploading more !
Good to have you back from what sounds like a bad crash. Loved every video in this series!
i have been very eager for this episode! i just love the lore surrounding skyrim and wider tamriel. thanks for these videos!
I'm so excited to finish this up!
Thanks so much, Nate! You're epic for making these Skyrim Iceberg vides! Eagerly looking forward to watching the Fallout IV Iceberg :D
Thankyou Nate. Love all of your work brother❤
Dude I remember watching you when I was like 15, glad to see you're still uploading!!
Lovely way to start the week.
Hey how's it going Nate, your videos were among the things that kept some dullness of life during 2020 away. Mind-blowing new discoveries about a game that means a lot to me was the fresh breeze I needed during that time. I'm happy to see this massive iceberg project come to a conclusion. Hoping you'll continue to be a great content creator on TES and Fallout, and other games you choose to be the lore lord of.
Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful you posted this, Nate, but...did it really have to be so close to my bedtime?
I feel like since he's been around for so long, he probably just took that banner as a trophy/decoration for his walls. Historical piece.
Yeah just as their to look at like a pride thing
Fuck yea Nate uploads a skyrim video
I know this is the last Skyrim iceberg but I hope he does more skyrim stuff
So glad you are back. Love the deep-dive Iceberg videos. Can't wait for the next ones and the Fallout series icebergs.
So ready for this, been waiting on it. Sad that it's the finale but hey at least we get to enjoy one more!
I'm so glad you still do produce vids about Skyrim after so many years! And the quality!
Long time subscriber, love your content Mr. Nate.
"hey everyone, how's it going. It's Nate here"
*visible excitement*

Your hard work is appreciated for making easy research for fan story writing.
Thank you for taking your time and doing as many videos that you had on Skyrim many of them have helped me in my playthrough and the others mystery videos help me understand the world, game and game series better i appreciate your time and videos so much thank you once again your awesome 💯💯💯
Love this series, hoping we get an overall Elder Scrolls ice berg and a fallout one too
Another hour of pure quality. We love you Nate
Don’t know if it’s been proposed before but I think the Dwemer opened a elder scroll and either went backwards or far forwards in time and that’s why they disappeared completely. 🤔
Gotta say man, ur one of the view youtubers that never fail to entertain me. Always a pleasure seeing a new video
Nate I’m writing a DND campaign set within Skyrim and am using these as references for random encounters and mini boss ideas so thank you so much for this. Infinitely appreciated
Glad to have you back Nate! Your videos help me through the work day! 🤘
This took longer then Diablo 4 announcement hahaha. This is best series out there. Thanks nate
Omg it's the end of an era!!! Thank you so much for all these iceberg videos!!
FYI, your videos help me survive my work days and has convinced me to play Skyrim…again. Thanks.
I have been waiting for this because I always seem to learn something new every time I watch one of your videos Nate.
Hey Nate I'm so glad you are back! I love your content and I've not missed anyone as much as I have missed you! Keep being awesome lovely!
it’s funny cause I’ve been watching nate since I was a kid and I always feel so happy and entertained with these typa videos
I actually saw through captain Valmir’s disguise, so when I was walking up to the place and was talking to me I was thinking “Why is there an elf in the imperium?” and so I check his pockets and found a note with his orders to disguise himself so I then “took care” of him and headed inside and got the mask.
Thank you for this. I'm lot security at Costco and this really helps pass the time!
I will forever remember how you got us through those sleepless nights for the past few years. Hopefully there's more videos to come.
