Yeah especially in the secret stream he did that you can only access by using the Konami Code on Patreon where he did that 53 day straight run of destroying the phantoms.
I do not care that you had to shoot the phantoms because you proved that you CAN kill them with grapple shots. The only thing you did was save a MASSIVE amount of time, but the fact that you proved you’re actually able to destroy them with the grapple shot is incredible. In my opinion, you do not fail here. You managed to prove that you’re able to destroy them with grapple shots, so it _is_ possible to beat the phantoms with it, but I’m sure everyone can agree that it’s better for your health to have destroyed em with rockets.
13:12 the symbol is supposed to be the mantle of responsibility, but laziness happened. It's what happens when you mirror a texture to create a symmetrical room without paying attention to the detail in the texture.
I think vehicles have a tiny amount of regen so that they can deal with small collisions with terrain and the occasional plasma pistol round without slowly withering away. It’s a good feature imo
I agree it's a good addition to the game, I was a bit snarky in the video cause the tone of the segment called for it, lol. I think it's almost certainly for that because the vehicles that do have it regen to a minimum percentage of like 20-40%.
They must have changed that, I did have a few wonky hitboxes with the Grapple so there's definitely still some stuff like that that they missed in the game.

Don't count it as a fail as the situation regarding the phantoms because the situation is impossible that way. These vehicles are an exception to the rule because of the way they are. Exceptions are allowed as long as the exception means the possibility of doing the challenge is not humanly possible in a reasonable time.
That was an amazing watch, congrats on the performance! Also, the "3 phantoms" part was super interesting, and you went into so much trouble to understand fully how this could \-in theory\- be possible, it felt like a W anyway!
With regards to 9:14, do you have an SSD? I just recently bought an SSD this year and before Halo Infinite was on it, it would consistently be choppy with my 3070 TI. Since I've transferred it to my SSD, I've had no frame issues at all. Just something to look into because I know I was pulling my hair out trying to get the thing to run well.
I do have an SSD but it is pretty small so it has no games on it (Might start installing games for videos on it before I record though). I guessed that my HDD couldn't handle the open world and recording to the same disk. I'm just annoyed that it tanked the recording framerate before the game's (It was solid 60 the entire time while playing, I only noticed during editing) but whatever, I have learned for future videos! Thanks for the answer though you are definitely right!
I think you should do a nice or silly challenge, Halo Combat Evolved with only grunt enemies. You can make them any level of their ranks but I think all enemies as grunts would be a fun silly challenge.
It gets samey, and I see what you mean for sure, less imposing than Bungie's designs, even if 343 nailed the scale in this game imo, but I really like the designs of the major rooms, the final boss room is gorgeous. The golden accents building through the game are *Chef's Kiss*.

You've made mods that have become popular with big-time Halo youtubers within weeks. Tipsy, you don't have to be perfect - you're already a cut above the vast majority of the community. There's not a single person other than Mint-fucking-Blitz that could pull off what you do, consistently.
Is that Jon Bois music in the Pelican Down section where you get killed by the chopper? Also dear god those Forerunner levels are absolutely awful past the first couple. This game is way too long and repeats the same encounters over and over. I finally beat the campaign last week after quitting the game in January because it was so tedious.
Jon Bois uses that song, and a Speedrunning TH-camr called Summoningsalt also heavily uses the track in all his intros, It's called We're Finally Landing and it's by HOME.
One thing missing from the Infinite grappleshot is the ability to connect two items between each other and close each end of the rope like in Just cause. Even it it had a cost, connecting a grunt to an explosive and hearing them scream as the explosive flies closer and closer before blowing on their faces. As for the forerunner symbol, it is either a modified mantle symbol, or a stylish seven column symbol. I think I saw something like this at the start of the Uprising mission on the wall after the first door. But my memory might be fuzzy. Wouldn't be surprised as former Bungie employees worked on Infinite. Btw, simple question, how do you control master chief while flying with the grapple. Doesn't that require to move? Also, try keep sane after this run. Really good video! XD
The only control I had over Chief with the grapple was with the direction I was looking while moving towards the grapple point. (Which is more control than you would think, as long as you whip the camera around.) I wouldn't press "WASD" during grapples at all, which did make some parts hard and Spiderman-ing harder than normal. I love your Just Cause idea, the grapple is already fantastic but that would make it perfect. Also I remember seeing the symbol in a couple other places, it's interesting, I always feel like small details like that are deliberate so I wanna know all about them. Thanks for the support!

I know this is late but you're correct about the symbol being in CE however 343 changed it in order to avoid issues since the logo was actually from one of Bungie's games and neither of them match this symbol or the responsibility one. This is likely a third symbol that probably would've been explained in the future if the pve side didn't get completely scrapped.
Halo Infinite has so much potential, I hope they can bring it around MCC style, that game was awful at launch and now it's pretty damn great. I said this during my stream but I genuinely think that Halo Infinite can be the best Halo game ever. We just need to live in the universe that gets that game, and hopefully before 2025 too.

Honestly, even if they could, the hype is already gone. How many people are actually going to still have any interest in Halo by the time it does get to a good state? Almost everyone I know has uninstalled the game and gone back to Apex Legends, Call of Duty, or whatever shooter they were playing prior to Infinite's release.

True! I didn't consider that for some reason because I have it bound to mouse wheel and I did it so sparingly. I could still swap weapons on the ground with the grapple. Thinking back it would make things longer but not necessarily harder. I wouldn't be able to use it for Skimmers unless an Ultra Elite was around so those would be longer. I could still bring Elite-Boss-Two's sword into Escharum's fight so that wouldn't be too bad, and there are two swords in the Harbinger fight so no problem there either. Good catch though, no clue how that slipped my brain until you pointed it out
That symbol is supposed to be the mantel of responsibility logo. It looks like it's only the right half of it though with the left side being a mirror duplicate. Likely since it's in the middle of the wall 343 just mirrored both sides of the room and it ended up like that.

Does the Gravity Hammer get a free lunge like the Sword? That phantom thing is brutal, it is technically possible though. So miserable it isn't worth doing. But I'd consider this a win just because playing a game for literally days flawless to beat an enemy is more time consuming then skill.
The Gravity Hammer will just do a normal melee for some reason, won't use ammo. I was hoping it would because it would be more fun than the sword but whatever. Escharum's may have been different but I didn't even pick it up. And yeah, like I said in the video, I'm just glad it was impossible in an interesting way and not in a "I'm just not good enough" way.

The final boss of halo infinite: Generic Brute Chieftain God that's so insanely true. He was responsible for like 6 deaths in the boss room, meanwhile I died like once to Harbinger. He's just so goddamn fast and tanky
It’s a shame that this game only has like 3 good main missions, and then those fort missions. We really need big set pieces to return like the Scarabs from Halo 3, or even a mission with a more unique gimmick. The grappleshot basically made vehicle sections become obsolete too. Halo Infinite is like dead center between being a great game and being a bad game.
