No, it doesn't go as fast or have as good of a camera, but it weighs about 1/3 of the Avata 2 and costs much less while still delivering great performance for the little size. I love that it can be a class 1 drone with its prop guards and low weight.

My neo is expected to arrive this Thursday and I’m super excited! It will be interesting to go from the Avata 2 to the Neo. My main uses will be short range FPV (seems safer around pets and easily damaged objects with the enclosed prop guards), risky moves that I dont want to wreck my Avata 2, and the no controller follow modes

Great video! To unlock the full potential of the Neo you need the googles. It's pointless buying the googles and motion controller separately,.almost the same price of the avata 2. So I will go with the Avata 2.
Isn’t the Neo far more sensitive in any wind and how do people who wear glasses use the goggles and see very well? I am near sighted so does that make it ok to use goggles with no glasses?

Personally, I do not prefer the motion blur. I like to see the foreground in focus! Only if there is bad jitter, i.e., jumpiness in the footage would you need ND filter.
Then you should shoot in 60fps. Anything below 30fps need an ND filter in daylight, especially if it is sunny unless you have specific aestethic reasons for your projects.
@@mrbilginc yes; that's an interesting insight. I can see how more fps would have less jitter. I like to fly along the coastline sideways, which may get more jitter.
The max speed of the mini 4 is pretty quick for such a small drone is about 35 mph. In sport....the air 3s is faster at about 50 to 55...chases would be great with like the avata 2 in manuel mode or a carbon fpv drone having the speed and manuverability.....I love chase videos

I see people still criticising this drone for video quality. it's just so amusing, I can not believe pro users are even watching these videos! It's a consumer drone for people new to drones! Not the owners of a Mini 4 or above! It can be hand launched in under 10 seconds and follow you! For the Mini 2 SE and above, stop watching these videos! None of those drones can be hand launched!
the NEO is great quality better than any other toy cheaper cam drones out and is durable to tumbles which is a must since its for my 8 year old son that is drone crazed right now LOL!

Great Video first of all. I like the NEO price LOL but I'm really struggling with the camera quality. Do you think it can be made smoother and improved with editing? For example in some of your shots you can see trees and grass distorted, same with buildings. Any idea if this can be sorta improved when editing?
Currently I did the best I could to correct everything 😂 so if you aren’t happy with how it looks in this video then I would wait for the Neo 2 or go for a more expensive drone

Is there a way to record in "normal mode" without "DJI automatic stabilization" so that we can get better quality and later we can stabilize it in post ? Like you did in Fpv mode BUT in normal mode like when using NC3 controller, can we turn off digital stabilization to get better video ? Because even if I buy this drone I can't afford DJI goggle or controller and will have to fly in normal mode only.

You can hand launch them, but you also need a controller. I want to get this drone just to practice fpv and see if it's something i'm interested in.

This is a great question but as of now there is no way to do it 😓 Would be nice if they could add that as a feature in the future
