That sweep with the avata of the waterfall was sick!
With full FPV drones people tend to fly faster which is fun but isn't always as cinematic. Flying that fast doesn't allow you to slow things like water down in post. With Avata drones you can hover stable and fly slower. People keep trying to make arguments that Avata is not a real FPV drone, but they are just different tools for different jobs, but both can be fun.
Yeah its absolutely about having the right tool for the job!
You can always adjust it in beta flight, it's not that complicated in my opinion.
@@RavenTM623What are the adjustments needed?
You can fly in horizon or angle mode. You can set your switches on your remote to switch into those modes, then it flies like a dji. In fact, most fpv drone pilots setup there drones for the options of all 3 modes. The Avata is really limited, it freaks out when trying to do freestyle shots.
You dont NEED to fly faster, you just CAN. Adjust your camera angle to be 15-25 degrees and you can float and hover just as stable as you would with a GPS/camera drone, but its using you actual finesse.
I'm this close to hitting the buy now button on the Avata 2. I just sold the Avata 1, my GoPros and sold my 5" and 7" a few months ago because I can't stand it with normal FPV drones anymore and keep on with extra cameras and lipo batteries and all that exhausting things, I have tried them all since 2019 and now I feel I want a all-in-one-drone like the Avata 2.
Really good and informative video bro!
The Avata 2 is awesome!
You won't be disappointed by the Avata-2 as long as you keep in mind that it doesn't have the power of true FPV freestyle drones.
I also have the avata 2 caus of the same reason like you. I didnt wanted the lipos and repair stuff etc anymore. I didnt have enought time for that.
So i bought the avata 2 and i really like it. I don't fly racing. I only wanted to do some cinematic shots and dive in on waterfalls and some mountains and the avata 2 is perfect. If its very windy, then it is a bit hard to fly but i love the avata 2 😀 i can reccommend it.
Just order it!
@@jesusmelchor7681 Cool !. I got mine yesterday :D
I recently flew the Avata 2 in Manual Mode for the first time and you really have to watch it when you do a split-S because it will drop a lot. The thrust to weight ratio is only about 1 to 3.3. It's really underpowered for doing trick stuff but it works fine if you keep these things in mind. I love flying it in Manual Mode.
true, I am reaching its limits as well, I have purchased the MK5 now.
What I found is that if you add throttle when your drone is vertical, you do not decent in the dirty air and you can do way more things such as powerloops and even juicy flicks
The master at work, can never get enough ❤
man, this spot was amazing 🔥🔥🤙🏽🤙🏽
Amazing footage and some close ones!! Great video as always
Hi to Drone Pilot Papa Lindgren from the Solomon Islands....Always a fan of your channels
Loved the video bro!🔥
Seeing your Dad fly the drone was great hopefully he flies some more and gets really good at it😁
lol...Papa Lindgren, great flight. I called my Father Tata when I was a kid. Great video Peter.
Where is this place?
Great video! Very cool footage! On the DJI FPV drone I had that same 250 meter issue that suddenly switched me out of manual mode. I found that I could turn that off in the settings on the goggles. I don't know if that's an option on the Avata, or Avata 2. Something to look into. 250 meters is not enough for manual mode. Kinda would ruin the whole experience.
Great comparison of the two. What an awesome location 👍👍😀
Sick shot with the 7” over the river in the beginning!! Two very different tools with individual use cases that definitely overlap one another. A good pilot can, of course, increase this congruency but they remain very specific in their applications. Clearly the Avata can perform landscape cinematography at the expense of range, weight, and digital restrictions and the FPV is almost completely useless indoors. Both great platforms for an aerial videographer.
debating between mini 4 pro, avata 2, or the new air
Love it man! The avata has impressed more than most expected
You didn't get any problem with the water and with avata 2? I have a FPV drone with tropicoat and it's perfect, but with the avata 2, how you do it ?
WOW!!! how did you get a signal down that ravine?
Was expecting a video from Peter about this :D
Hi Peter, great video, really liked when you get your Dad involved 👍👍
Really nice video. Well done. Have you by any chance changed the rates on the Avata 2?
Looks like the Avata 2 wins it just by the fact it didn't need to be rebound to the controller again.
I also think the video quality from the Avata 2 was better but that was fairly close in comparison.
Also would have been better if the drones were powered on when you were trying to swat those mosquitoes 😉 😂 😉
can you compare the dji fpv next?
This is the Axlarfoss in Iceland if I'm not mistaken. Awesome place, just been there 10 days ago.
My question is, can I get the same shots with the avatar as with the mini 4 pro? I would love to see the cinematic shot challenge with an avatar 2.
I think Avata 2 it's good drone for beginners, soon I got my first drone I chose avata 2 .I hope got more experience and some good shots.Next level dron for me is some long range dron but this is future. I like watching your video for me it's best channel.
Avata 2 is good to get you in the game and branch out from there. I use the goggles and mc with my air 3 and im in love with the combo!
Mantap bro 👍✌️
Honestly, I preferred your avata 2 footage in the landscape locations you shot.
It looks great! I’m preferring the faster cruises though 💪🏼
Guess it depends on your objective if it’s purely for fun and the thrill of flying that makes sense but for the most cinematic effect I do think the avata does great.
As long as there’s no winds outside. I’ve tried the first one in so many different situations, and whenever there’s a strong wind, you can forget about getting anything cinematic looking haha!
But it’s a fantastic drone in every way. So much better than having to tinker around with things
@@PeterLindgren1 Yeah it definitely doesn't hold up in wind like my mavic 3, not sure what can be done about that. Not everyone wants to tinker around with things as you say , for those just wanting to focus on the cinematography (like me) it's a great way into manual flying.
Id love for DJI to uppdate their old FPV with a new 5” that is lighter, more powerful, and all the safety features. I hate the tinkering when something doesn’t work lol
do you need the controller to take these shots or is it also possible with the joystick that comes with the avata 2?
You need the controller 👍🏼
I had an Avata nice drone, now I change to the iFlight Nazgul. This drone is flying so much better and has more power! Further more there is no restriction to the altitude, when you diving mountains 🏔️ . It sucks when you limited to 500m, now I can fly to the summit and then dive it all the way down!
UAV Too High/Far is because of the distance setting. I had to turn off my altitude limit because M mode was actually 50-100ft lower than I set. I couldn’t use M anywhere. Fixed it now. Turn off all distance limits or set them very far.
Stupid stuff haha. Thanks!
What an experience is it. Don’t know when im gonna fly it😂
Regular drones will always have its place
independent of, which drone you flew out there - AMAZING LANDSAPE!! (and thanks for your insights!)
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@PeterLindgren1 defenitely!
Nice Video, but not sure what the issue you got with the Avata 2 seem weird , but in those kind of location i get 1.5 km to 2.5 km no issue. Also the speed of charging the battery when you travel is a huge advantage too. Was camping few weeks ago and only brought my Avata 2. I was able to drive around and charge from spot to spot with only 3 battery and a jackery 300 . I love my Nazgul and other drone, but when camping and if i dont have easy acces to electricity unfortunately those drone stay home too slow to charge. At the of day depend of few factor when flying a drone.
Told me that the UAV was too far, exiting manual mode or something similar. Need to evaluate more
@@PeterLindgren1 weird FCC ?
Aaah, now that you say iit it’s most likely EU regulations
@@PeterLindgren1 that make sense great location for sure to film
WHERE ARE YOU! THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL!!
How you keep the signal in this shoots at 11:00
it's all about where you stand =)
@@PeterLindgren1 yeah but i have a iflight nazgul evoque f5d v2 o3, and i think i couldnt do this flights, because of low signal
If you are in Europe, know that there is a FFC mode that exist to unlock something around 30% throttle power and top speed + infinitely better transmission
when I finished the Vikings Valhalla new season 3. seeing Frida's Dad in Iceland. hahaha
Papa Lindgren - The Maverick :)
He sings!!!! Free-style that is, right? ;-)
or we can say gopro vs dji o3?
Didn’t even use the GoPro 🤷🏻.
Avata 2 has O4 if I remember correctly
You were using ND filters?
Nope
First to comment.
I love your content Mr Peter ❤
Hey Mr Peter i also have a Tech youtube Channel i created since 2018 but since am stock at 48 Sub because of Lack of Gears.
I shoot with my smartphone ( pixel 6 )
Please if you can sale me some of your old Gears at a very affordable Price i will be greatful 🙏🙏 Thanks in advance
2nd!!!! Love this man as well!!
@@PatsonTek I would encourage you that gear doesn’t matter as much as you think. You can create some amazing stuff with these new smartphones. First upgrade your audio (also lots of affordable options out there), for sure in the tech space people just want to see you show off Tech and how you use it. Just start creating and upgrade over time. You got this! Don’t worry about the gear right now focus on your content and just pump out and keep learning and striving to get better each video.
@@PaulFeinbergThanks alot for your advice Mr Paul. I will follow your advice but i really need to have a mirroless camera ( Sony ZVE10 ) will be enough for me so that it Can give more depth to my videos.
I'm happy with my FPV drones
Camera angle is in degrees not percent
Cool, now I need to remove the video and reupload it 😂
Main ke Indonesia bro 👍✌️
sangat banyak spot epic di Indonesia bro 😅
first thats cinewhoop fpv.. not 5 inch.. different purpose.. though we can rip with avata 2 ( watch JoPro).. anyway .. nice video
I said it’s a 3/3.5 inch. Never said 5
@@PeterLindgren1 ahh sorry..my mistake
i prefer Avata for travel.. batteries are wayyyyyyyyy better than any LIPO
Both example shots at the beginning look choppy and not very pleasing. Just follow the 180 degree shutter rule, fly slower and the result would be much better.
It’s not about the shutter rule, it’s about what you export the video in.
It’s shot in a mix of 30 & 25 fps, therefore it doesn’t look smooth on either timeline.
The shutter rule only controls motion blur, not what frame rate it’s shot in.
If you shoot in 100fps with a shutter at 1/200, but play it back on a 25fps timeline in realtime, it will look choppy because it skips multiple frames per second.
@@PeterLindgren1 Thank you for your answer! I was not aware that you shot in 25 and 30 fps. Different frame rates are always a hassle.
In my view 25p with a 180 degree shutter looks way smoother than 30p with an extremely low shutter angle. I would always try to shoot in the final project framerate and use higher frame rates only where I intentionally want use slow motion. This way you can be consistent with the shutter angle and get a much better result.
Concerning digital stabilisation artefacts: For GoPro footage I found a 90 degree shutter angle a really good compromise, where I can just add a little bit of digital stabilisation in GyroFlow and get a really organic looking video with great motion blur.
I always wonder why pro pilot considers avata 2 to be a toy drone as if no knowledge is required for that drone to fly. I know motion controller is a gimmick but the drone is really good.
It’s awesome as long as you know the limits!
🦅✨❤️🔥✨😎👍
Salam sehat selalu kawan 🎉 Indonesia salam satu hoby satu langit❤
🤘❤️
The big difference was the camera lens was dirty on the real FPV drone.
This comparison doesn't make sense, you should fly the same patch with both drones
Haha I did 😂
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
avata 2 is a cinewhoop drone its clear bro
Yeah I know, but they ain’t promoting it like one
can anyone gift me a fpv kit?
Sure, if you pay me for it.
@@PeterLindgren1 What have you got for me?
Comparing two different drones. Camera angle is degrees not percentage. Avata pilots add alot of unnecessary movements
You’re totally right, ain’t easy speaking foreign language sometimes
@PeterLindgren1 all the videos I've seen you do it's in English so weird thing to say.
too much Bass bro
lol what?
@@PeterLindgren1 Was just too much for my ears to handle :D BOOM BOOM 7:00 as an example
But probably just me
But can it carry grenades?
Avata is BS with their stupid top elevation ceiling.
You don't know how to dress properly but you sure know how to fly !!
Why can’t I dress lol?
@@PeterLindgren1 😀
Avata 2 wins really
Avata is easily the best all in one fpv drone. So freaking simple.
