But with a lot of compromises in settings. No raytracing I assume and not everything to max because even a 4080 super can't run modern games like the star wars game, alan wake 2, avatar, hogwarts legacy, wukong and so on with max settings + raytracing without DLSS and Frame generation even in 1440p not to even talk about 4k. In 4k you'd have to go DLSS ultra performance to achieve same performance. So 4k is not really worth it in my opinion at all these days. If you have to lower settings just go 1 resolution down and it is fine again.
I love seeing regular GTX1080 content! Everyone always covers the Ti version but not too much the regular non Ti. Would love to see more! My fav design is the EVGA design.
the 1080 and 2060 are so close in price i wouldnt even bother. just start making offers to sellers or follow a bunch of them and wait for them to make offers
@@OlaftheGreat even though the 10 series is old technology, it still would make for good content because gamers are still using them and driver support is still up for them. Content doesn’t have to be long, could been a short vid of just a few minutes. Win for the creator and win for us nerds because we get to watch more interesting stuff.
It's overshadowed by the 1080 Ti tbf. I've finished my rounds of content with the 1080. But I have made multiple shorts and another video with it, if you'd like to check them out mate!
@@ProYamYamPCYou love it, all the work comes from your monitor refresh rate. If you have a 120hz monitor, you'll play in 120fps. The cool thing about losses scaling is you only need 30fps to play in 120fps. Anything runs 30fps 😅
@@jurivjerdha2467 My experience with it. 30fps is the lowest limit you can use this program while gaming. Anything lower than 30fps, you will feel lag. 30fps and up is no problem in my opinion.
i have a 1080ti and doing 1440p as long as you keep the expectations in the right place. its a great card for that. i can't believe these cards are still kicking it in 2024. got the 1080ti for $161 so i can't complain.
Jedi Survivor is supposed to get another patch sometime next month. Fingers crossed on optimization. As far as the GTX 1080. Yeah, I'd buy that for $100. Especially the MSI Gaming X model.
If you were struggling for video ideas, you should have said sooner... Buy a cheap reporters notepad 4 pack and a pack of 4 pens... Leave a pen and pad in: Bathroom, Near tv sofa, By your bed, And carry the 4th one with you when out and about eg in your rucksack near the front. You will soon be drowning in ideas as they will come to you randomly at the most awkward times. Here's an idea for multi vids - look into some triple 1080p game tests, but set them up in portrait giving 3240x1920. That would give you plenty of scope for vids and there isnt much on yt at this res and aspect ratio - especially since last efforts were about 9 years ago... I have a feeling this res will be making a comeback over the next 5 years as people hang on to 4k capable cards but have to go down to 3k using triples to keep the frames decent.
I've been apprehensive buying something slower than a 1080ti even though my budget is tight, but seeing it can run 4k low, I think I'll be fine at 1080 high.
That's probably due to the size of your display. I said the same thing, but on displays 32" or larger it's plain as day when you drop that pixel density.
GTX 1080 has been the meta budget GPU for the last few months.
I'm surprised you can find these for under $100 now
God I love MSI's design for 10 series cards...
One of teh best AIB designs of all time! I need to tell them to bring it back to be honest🤣
@@ProYamYamPCForeal the best design. Pretty and only has two fans to worry about.
That black and red msi card is such iconic design
Have sold my MSI GTX 1080TI Gaming for a ASUS TUF 7900XTX it double my fps and more in playing all games in 4K native

@williehrmann raytracing is same level as RTX 3090TI anyway who cares about that if no have full potential yet. Was talking about native 4K resolution

The 1070 ti is something like 5% behind the 1080, I think that's worth looking into as well

With Lossless Scaling, the GTX 1080 can run most games at 60/120 if you use the Frame Gen from it.
I need to try Lossless Scaling. Thanks for the heads up

It's much better than when was released.
A cool video ProYam as a 4K gaming enthusiast I enjoyed it
I'm glad you did!
A 4090 easily outpreforms this
Solid observation
No shit
Those 4k monitors are gonna cost the same as the gpu right?

I recommend watching my 1080p and 1440p testing. The 1080 is still awesome at FHD
it was funny to see my current gpu on a video. I play on 2k. the thing works great still somehow! I guess they just made 10 series that well.
I'm glad it's still going strong for you! 1440p was pretty decent on the 1080. I imagine with some FSR, it could be even better!
Would like to see the RX 6600 vs the 1080 in 1440p
I personally can't really tell any difference between 4K and 1440p with my own eyes, especially when anti-aliasing is used

I test using a 55" display. I can 100000% see the difference

I wish, it cost me £95. But I've seen listings in the US for under $100🔥
thank you for this

R5-1400 vs R5-2400G + RX550/GT1030?
what the best version of driver for gtx 1080 for 2024?
To be honest, I just use the latest ones available
