    I love your garden!! You are very attractive, pleasant, organized, and clean! The fact that you maintain a garden says you are industrious. And I know those greens taste so good!!!

    Yeah I agree that the greens are better in the winter. I had my garden when I lived in Georgia USA. You do your cooking same wY I cook mine.

    Shante, I enjoyed your homegrown collard greens video. I remember my late mother telling me that greens tasted the best after the first frost in cold weather. When you said that it brought back alot of wonderful memories of her. I know you and your family enjoyed that meal. Happy holidays! Take care 💞

    Do you know how much I loved watching you pick these greens from your garden!!! It was interesting to hear what your grandmother taught you about the tenderness of greens during cold weather months. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe and your tips…I could almost taste the freshness😀…going to begin my greens n tails now!

    Shante, my mouth is watering. I’m going to try doing this with kale, because that’s what’s growing in my garden. I notice that greens are sweeter in the winter after being hit by the frost, in addition to being more tender. I never see pig tails in the store, so I’ll probably switch in some ham hocks instead. And of course I love to bake up a big pan of cornbread, too! Eat good, and Merry Christmas to you and your family, pretty lady! 🎄❤️

    Try frying the pigtail with a little oil very slowly so they want burn! Then add your greens and stir fry really well not letting them sick! That's SOUTHERN style.

    The 1st thing you do is fried those pigtails in oil on low heat earlier! Then drop in your COLLARD greens and stir fry without water, You got to stay by the stove to keep them from sticking and burning.

    Would like that recipe you promised to include. I have never made these today is the Day! I have an office Party for Christmas, 40 people coming. Have no idea how much to make, how much water to cook my Smoked Pig tails, gifted to me! So I will guess, what the Hell!

    • @ShakeitupwithShante
      @ShakeitupwithShante  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello my love if for 40 people I can’t tell you exact but if your using greens by the bunch you may need about 4 to 5 bunches and if using the bags you need about 4 to 5 bags. Boil your pigtails in a huge pot of water for about an hour first then add clean washed and cut greens add salt to taste all depending on the amount of greens and half cup of vinegar and 2 whole chopped onions add about 3 tablespoons each of garlic powder and onion powder half cup of oil cover let simmer on med low for about 2 to 3 hours stirring in between and tasting. Hope this helps
