  • Here are a couple of photos and videos of the progress on the 1970 Monte Carlo for Reno. We purchased the car in the high desert and began taking the car apart the first day of new ownership. My friend Jake helped pull the L29 engine that the previous owner was gonna go with. We then removed the front clip and then the chassis. had to do a little work on the chassis and thanks to my brother Wayne it was done quickly. Shortly after the chassis repairs we brought the frame to get blasted and powder coated. I then purchased a 6.2 L92 from my friend Robert for a great price. We took the engine apart and got it cleaned and machined. Purchased all new parts, cam, lifters, push rods, springs, vales, cam bearings, main bearings, oil pump, water pump, timing chain, harmonic balancer, and all new gaskets. Put the engine back together with the help of my Mom. got the engine and chassis to mate together and soon after the body. Car is now back together and ready for plumbing. So far So good. Part 2 coming soon
Music: all 3 songs performed by my amazing wife Julia and myself. The drumming is performed by my good friend Beagle.

Nice video you put together! I have a 71’ and have done a lot like you have. Once I I figure out how to upload my photos it will be posted 🤞🏻
