I like the Escalade, a lot. The Uncles too. But seeing this Monte run and slide is motivating me to put the 5.3 I have laying around in my 66 impala finally.

Looks like a awesome fun party car. Doesn't have to be good at anything as long as it gets people's attention and makes whoever is in it laugh and smile.
Word of advice, don't have too many irons in the fire at one time. Take your time and get these vehicles done right and you will never have any regrets. Oh, and definitely some hoodies at some point for us old geezers in the cold snowy north. Cheers Mitchell !!!
You say you want to be a better TH-camr well this is where you start! Be better than the rest. I'm not a hater and I know you'll be thinking I am but do the best with what you have! You have the talent show it! Sorry for anything I said to offend you. I'm being bigger than my harshness. Do well ok!
I freakin' love that thing. Been a dream car of mine for a long long time. Hope to be able to get one sometime down the line. Until that time it is great to see someone living the dream.
My cat was a 1983 Monte Carlo SS.destroked 400 with a small nitrous hit. N/A it ran low 12's in 1992. With the hit it plunged into the high tens and by 1995 it hit high 9's. This was a lot back then. No turbos but N/A. Race fuel and suspension mods were the key factor. That car just was set up to race from the factory. Any more than low 9's it would need much more done but you get me. It had a cage for the time. Now it's way more strict. Giving you props and hope you the best! Only being helpful I hope??
For $10 you can buy a Bluetooth dongle and cast a “dash “ onto any tablet or phone from your obdII. The one I have is an ELM327. You can customize to show any data you want. I used to use it to check the individual voltages across each oxygen sensors for troubleshooting and stuff. Best purchase a home mechanic can make.
The torque app is what I've used to get readings like that. Its worth the few dollars to buy the upgraded version of the app to get access to all the things it can read for you. Probably we even trans line pressure if thats something that indicates slip Idk. Some of the best money you can spend if you work on your car
@@wheeln24-79 torque was the app I used to use too. It’s been a while since I could turn a wrench so I wasn’t sure what softwares out there today. It’s awesome if you have analog gauges but also want a more specific number like waiting to see what temp a thermostat opens.
Man l love the first gens! That was the second car I ever had. If I ever find another I won’t let it get away. I remember my being useless in the rain and not much better on a dry road. Good times!
Precision Transmission is another youtube channel I like to watch, they seem to be great guys and might be worth contacting if you want to rebuilt the monte carlo's transmission.
This would 100% be an AMAZING thing to happen! I have so much respect for Precision Transmission from their work and work ethic to their family style business. This would make great content for both channels too, maybe make a few connections too.
The loose mirrors had me laughing, good stuff😂. This is the perfect street car! Perfectly capable of doing everything, like you said its all around an enjoyable car. Also excited to be getting the new shirt design can't wait to be sporting it around. You know the deal!
Wow brother she is a ripper. Cant wait to see it get down once you have a new transmission. Penguins are an excellent team by the way, they would be my second choice of great NHL teams.
I think it AWESOME love the colors..if your serious about a number......? what were you think also think a simple cage would give you be safety and stablilty.

I know on our 15 duramax vans, they used the 6l90s are commercial pricing at autozone was like 2500, but I think you should probably get one built for it
That car is my favorite Monte Carlo thanks for showing I would really like to have one just like it very nice car love them ed sound and it apparently has entry of power keep up the good work and your very honest about the car also thanks liking from ALABAMA roll tide
You need to get one of those filter spong mats that goes on the inside of bottom in your tank that hooks to your fuel pump it stay saturated with gas even if you down to 2 gallons of gas..
I dont know exactly where you are however take that beautiful piece of art to Precision Transmission in Amarillo and have Richard work his magic on that transmission.(or more) They also do more than just transmissions and have a very informative TH-cam Channel as well. 👍😁
Make sure the tie rods, end links, and shit like that are TIGHT and working right. Adds a Butt load of play in the wheel. Had a ‘74 Chevelle, did the same steering wobble. Once I put new stuff in, that was gone.
Gets going and rides out pretty nicely for a slipping trans and some old gas. Even breaks traction pretty easily. Very nice old car. Question, where'd you get the wiring harness you use for the Escalade? Is it part of a kit that came with a Stand-alone ECU or did you have to have it custom-made? I have an LSX build going and I'm trying to figure out what works with wiring. My Caddy (which is getting the LSX) is just a few years older...and a car.
Love the channel. Reach out for help from your fans. Maybe use an affiliated wish list. Even donor parts that needs a rebuild would make great content. If T56 is what you want, go for it!
6l80 isn't terribly complicated, you'd be able to toss in a fresh set of clutch packs. 4-5-6 is the weak clutch pack, not physically but environmentally. Oil flow through it sucks so it can overheat 4-5-6 whenever it isn't engaged and you're jamming high rpm 1st-3rd gear.
Awesome car, needs some fuel tank baffling. Tanks at the rear suffer from centrifugal force keeping the fuel at the rear of the tank when they’re low. Did the aftermarket efi tank have any baffling? Edit: you can make a tray to install under the fuel sock to keep the pump from starving. Also Holley Hydramat would work as well.
This thing is gonna get me in trouble. No question 😂
Plenty in the tank, just need more pump to keep up with demand.
