My family used to own a ‘73 Monte, 2nd gen. I was in middle school back then. Loved and missed that car very much, a white w a light blue top. Wishing for a Monte in the future, near retirement, possibly, I’m getting a 1st gen. Great and stunning video! Indeed, I enjoyed watching it.
I had a 71.. Beige w/black vinyl. Original paint, 87 Vortec built by Fast Eddies Engines in Phx. Turbo 350 built by Adolfs Transmission in Glendale. 12 bolt posi. I changed the bench to buckets. I sure miss that car. It was a daily driver and ran very good! I got a lot of compliments.
Jared,I appreciate the car show. Alot of beautiful MONTE CARLOS. Of I'm a true first of the first gen fan seeing that I own a matching numbers 70'. I got all original interior and I was a two tone hardtop"Astro blue and Fathom blue. I say was because the original owner put a cheap paint job which now looks like a blue primer. All the jambs are original paint, hood and lid underside. She's my girl now since April 2020. Once again thank you so much for putting me there through your videos.
I had a '70 Monte. It was the same shade of blue as the second car you showed in the first row. I had it painted to the same color as the one seen at 17:20. I had the old school 5 slot mag wheels. 15" in rear and 14" in front (they were on my older brother's '69 Chevelle). My Monte had a 350ci motor but I built up a 400ci SB with (at the time, affordable engine parts from Summit Racing) to a 406ci motor pushing about 400HP. I didn't have any chrome trim other than bumpers and around the windshield and rear window. And no vinyl top. I miss that car.
These cars make me sentimental. My dad's 1st new car was a Hunter green 70 w/ 4bbl 350, buckets/console, loaded. After that one, he had another 70, a 77, 76, then an 84. He said his 1st 70 was his fave followed by tje 84. I had a 70, 72, 86, and 87. Loved them all.
@@Jared1970Monte yes i remeber you saying that you dont ship them depending on the quality and price i would drive to pick them up. My car is baremetal at the moment and wanted to replace the fenders i have one has very small dents like dots almost and the other side is wavy in my opinion but in will send it again.
How cool to see all those Montes in one place, I love it!!! I recently started my Monte Carlo journey with a 1971 that had sat since 1987!! I did a little will it run video of it. If you're interested give it a watch here; th-cam.com/video/CeKyteePt5E/w-d-xo.html

What ever happened to the National Monte Carlo Owners Association. I belonged to it back in 1987. Club disappeared.
It folded. But the new one is Monte Carlo Club of North America, same format. Less Drama
I actually have a 70 monte carlo I could use some help with resto parts
