    Made this last night and had one as soon as I woke up... WOW! It tastes like I'm indulging, but I'm not. The orange and lemon zest come through beautifully and the walnuts (I used those instead of pecans) add the perfect crunch. Tasted amazing with bulletproof coffee. Definitely making again next week, but might mix it up by adding pumpkin spice or cinnamon to fall-it-up a bit. Thanks for the hard work you put into making this recipe for us, Bobby & Dessi!

    Made them and OMG: Fantastic. Those are going to be a fixture in my diet for sure. The taste is incredible. Perfectly balanced, not too sugary, not bitter. The orange zest is really a great touch changing everything. Easy to do too! Gonna keep a bag of these biscotti in the freezer for future use and learn to control myself around them. Dangerously good! Pretty sure I can tweak it without problems by switching essence/nuts mix to create an assortment for Xmas gift! I did use a egg though: fluffed the flax seed in the white with water, added the yolk in the liquid mixture after. Just to get a bit more protein out of them. Anyway, amazing gift you gave us with that recipe! Thx!

    OMG! These are amazing. I made them yesterday and, other than my chocolate drizzle ending up nowhere near as Insta-worthy as Dessi's, they were super delicious and way easier than I thought. Also, I could actually get all the ingredients (except the specific sweetener) at the regular supermarkets here in Hungary - which was a huge shock for me. This recipe is a total winner, please thank Dessi for me :)

      @@laurawallner639 Laura Wallner Hi, I used 3 medium sized eggs. Our stores out here are weird..I can get a dozen medium pasture raised eggs for $2.99 but the large are $7? So I just get the medium. If you have large eggs I'd just use two. (Eliminate the water and flax seed) Happy Baking!!

    I had the same experience as HANDSMOM05 of a super BITTER taste and could not eat what I made. Very disappointed as I had to throw it out. The texture seemed perfect for biscotti. QUESTION: Is the stevia powder Desi used a blend mixed with Monk Fruit? I used the pure stevia powder and results were inedible. 😝😞

    Great video, you 2 look great on cam together...TV Show soon I hope? lol. Although I was in fact Vegan for 2 years, I am not currently. May end up there again someday, but for now I am the healthiest I have been in over 25 years. Just curious if the Flax egg mix is equivalent to just 1 traditional egg or 2?

    • @BobbyParrish
      @BobbyParrish  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      TV show sounds good to us ;) 2 eggs..bc 1 tablespoon of flax meal with 3 tablespoons of water is equal to one egg. Personally, i dont think 100% vegan is great for you..very hard to get all of the nutrients needed.

    These were amazing. The flavors just popped, orange, Lemon, almond. I think I ate all of them, (not all at once of course) dunked it in my daily cappuccino. One question, mine didn't come out as crunchy as I thought they would, are they slightly softer than the traditional biscotti? Or maybe I didn't cook them long enough.

    My girlfriend and I just made these tonight and were so excited until we tasted it. It had a very strong stevia taste and it lingered for a long time and the chocolate did not set up right. It was too grainy and we kept microwaving to try to get it to be smooth but did not work. We were so disappointed with how these came out. I will say the texture was very good and looked just like the picture but this calls for too much stevia and I think next time I will use Lilly’s chocolate and just melt and drizzle.

    Hi guys: I just subscribed. THESE ARE SO GOOD. Thank you so much. Been on KETO for about 2 weeks. Doing great; BUT would like an occasional treat to look forward to. I tried another Biscotti which was an epic fail from another channel ... it was "okay" but YOURS ... OMG! fantastic. Almost like the real thing. I cut the sugar in half and one change I made was to use Xylitol rather than Stevia. Not a fan of powdered Stevia. I ground up the xylitol in the grinder first; and also halved it for the chocolate sauce. THESE. ARE. SCRUMPTIOUS. I heard another baker say she puts them in the dehydrator to make them super crispy. I think that's a great idea. May I make a couple of time saving suggestions? Make the flax egg first so it's ready by the time you need to add it to the recipe. Before cutting the biscotti (for the 2nd bake) I put it in the freezer for about an hour so they could "set up". They cut beautifully. For the chocolate sauce. I simply put a small cast iron frying pan (but of course you could use any small pan) on top of the stove while the biscotti were baking. Inside the pan I set a small heat safe bowl and added the chocolate, butter and my sweetener. I melted beautifully and I only had a small bowl to clean. I don't allow myself any treats, but I'll have this one on Sunday with my afternoon coffee or tea. Thank you so much. Well done !!!

    Almonds are bad for people with oxalate kidney stones. What alternative gluten-free flour would Dessi suggest for the almond flour?
