Hi! I'd like to share a tip: boil your flax seeds in water before using them. Flax seed decoction has the same binding effect as egg white (you'll see it when you boil the seeds, the water gets all gooey). And once boiled, flax seeds are easier to digest. Two birds with one stone!
Just had this recipe in my feed. If you grind your seeds first, you don't have to boil them. I've been making vegan chocolate chip cookies for yrs, using flax seeds.
So could you just skip the egg yoke and just use ground flax seed? Still use some whole flax seed for texture? Hope this makes sense.
@@susanaeh
I don't see why not, I use 1T ground to 3 T water. I don't think the whole seed would effect the cookie as a soaked seed for the egg.
It is a good idea to soak flaxseeds before consuming them as it helps improve digestion and nutrient absorption. The soaking process helps break down the tough outer shell of the seeds and makes them easier to digest. Eating soaked alsi doesn't lead to any kind of gastrointestinal issues.Sep 11, 2023
@@ChristineDilag I work at a bakery where we make vegan muffins. We use the flax seeds decoction in the muffins, to replace egg whites. Then we use the seeds in the flax seed breads. The texture is still crispy and it's pretty fast to boil them
They look gorgeous.
I skip the honey and use dates. Plus some fresh ginger and cinnamon.
Thank you from the Netherlands🌷🌷🌷🌷
Dates are concentrated sugar! Better the teaspoon of honey or faux sweetener
I don’t like peanuts so replaced them with cashews. A great recipe for a crisp rather than soft cookie. AMAZING GOOD! ❤
Thanks I’m allergic to peanuts and was wondering what i could replace them with
I eat cashews. They are good food. It’s a lot of protein which is building blocks for your body; protein also makes you not hungry (is there a word for not hungry in English; the Swedish is mätt as opposed to hungrig)
Maravillosas y tan sanas!con moderación como todo😂❤gracias
Don't let the naysayers get you down! These are awesome recipes and very healthy. People who are concerned can swap out dried strawberries for the apricots (lower sugar fruit) and there are plenty of sugar free honey options out there. Personally, I do eat low sugar but I don't avoid it all together. Small amounts once in awhile are fine for most people and these cookies really fill that desire.
okay, you do you... lol
Makes me wish I could eat nuts.
As do you 😁
Totally agree.
Yummy ❤
This recipe is more like an energy bar rather than a cookie. The amount of sweetness derived from the dried fruit and honey is minimal. Most cookie recipes call for a lot of sugars, granulated or brown. I absolutely will make them. Someone mentioned using figs and that is an excellent substitute for the fruit. Thank you for sharing this recipe. From Pennsylvania USA ❤
The amount of sugar in those two ingredients is high and the title is nonsense because of it.
spot on, thank you... and yet we are called haters for pointing out the truth...lol@@TheDandonian
@@TheDandonian It's fructose not sugar. Education is the key to learn and not mix things up

THESE LOOK ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Most of all, I love the simple*** and healthy recipe!
I just made some. I added a little cinnamon 😋. Very good. Thank you for the recipe ❤
I'd add some raisins to the 2nd cookie recipe,as well as your wonderful idea of cinnamon.
Bumps up the 'chew' and health benefits!😋🥲

I can't wait to try them both. I don't have all the ingredients to make either one today, but making a list and will go to a health good store that has many of these nuts & seeds in their bulk dept, so will just buy what I need now, and that will cut down on cost and storage of larger quantities. There is also an Amish market with a large bulk dept about half hour away.
Looks yummy…I will do Pecans instead of peanuts, and figs instead of apricots. Thanks for recipe❤
Love the idea of using figs, which I love.
Yes peanuts are so toxic!
Absolutely walnuts too!
@@Talletc they are not.
YOU CAN DO INGREDIENTS THE WAY YOU LIKE 👌❤️🍃🌺
These are beautiful!!
Thank you🌻
Toll werde ich demnächst ausprobieren 🎉
Been stuck in house from snow..dug through all my pantry and freezer and found MOST of the ingredients! I needed a treat -thank you!

Спасибо за рецепты.Мёд-высококонцентрированный углевод. Я думаю диабетикам его надо заменить эритритом или стевиозидом
Oh I wish I could experience snow right now. Today it reached 43 degrees in Perth, Western Australia 😅
We're never satisfied with the weather. Here in UK would love some sun. I will have a go but cut down a bit on the honey. My 2nd oven's glass shattered recently, so having to use little top one, non fan assisted. Should be interesting!!
Have made these twice already! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Not too sweet, sticks together, nice combo of ingredients, and sooooooo easy! The only changes I’ve experimented with are: substituted dried cherries (first batch) and dates (second batch) for the apricots; pignoli nuts when I didn’t have the pumpkin, sesame, and flax on hand; and, second batch I put the mixture in a chopper for a few pulses to break down some of the big nuts. Thank you for sharing this recipe! ❤🤟
Love these ideas!
Ottima idea dall'Italia brava.
I was going to chop too as the nuts are too big.
@@kimberlycastillo7606 next time I’m going to chop the big nuts.
😅😅
Those cookies look great for energy bars.
That’s because they’re loaded with sugar. And fat. But you’re not wrong.
Deu água na boca! Simples👏👏👏
instead of an egg, you can grind the flaxseeds (or use flaxseed flour) and mix with water and set aside for 5 minutes (1 tbsp flaxseed flour + 3 tbsp water for 1 egg replacement). it'll thicken up to an eggwhite consistency. And instead. of honey, I used maple syrup.
Thank you so much! I was wondering how to sub the egg.
sugarrrr
I was just going to ask that question
So slow omg
@@amyleigh336 yeah it takes a little bit of time, but, the flaxseed has a long long shelf life and is much cheaper. also you get a lot of omegas with the flaxseed and you don't contribute to male chicks being grinded up. this is what the egg industry keeps hidden: th-cam.com/video/zdvnDHKB7nA/w-d-xo.html

Sugar was rationed in England when I was a child, but dates were available and we had walnut trees nearby, so my mother made date and walnut cookies, which we loved.

Rainy day today and this sounds like the perfect thing to do. I will substitute pecans for the peanuts and add in dried blueberries. Sounds so yummy!
Pecans and cashews are my favorites from Northport Maine❤

Worth watching the second one. I used to buy energy bars made with banana and sesame, and always wondered how to make them myself. I bet they would also be delicious with coconut!

Me too! Well said.
I’m glad this came up on my feed. I’m a sugar addict that needs to start making sweets like this at home.
Dried fruit has sugar in them
honey is pretty much sugar. Not table sugar but it's sugar.
Me too.
Gracias por compartir se ven deliciosas y muy saludables❤❤
Thank you for sharing these recipes. I am going to give them both a try! 😊
I do agree it’s disingenuous to claim these are sugar free when using honey and dried apricots. Easily remedied by saying “no refined sugar”. Also, if you take the flax seed and add it to a bit of water you already have a good binder and these beautiful cookies would be plant based. Cheers
Love the plant based recipe! Thanks!
It seams disingenuous to go on & on when we all knew what she ment
Plus she didn't say that were sugar free
I was thinking the same thing. What she meant to say, I think, is that she doesn't eat refined sugar, but she used several different types of sweeteners. I also wondered about using an egg white when you could have made flaxseed eggs unless she was going for the texture they add. They are energy treats for sure, not sure if I would call them cookies. They do look like they would be tasty. I would be interested to try them as an energy bar.
@@nicolacubbins4946 Please read the title of the video again. It is misleading but I’d give the benefit of doubt that it’s just ignorance instead of intentional click bait language.
What we would all do without you!
This recipe is excellent, you can substitute any kind of seed you like. And using most natural ingredients makes it even better, you gave us the baseline from which we should start. Thanks so much!
Wow, great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Yum! I would love those with Hazelnuts!
Made this yesterday but substituted some ingredients for ones I prefer eg hemp seed, chia, pecans, cranberries. Came out beautifully. Had one just now with chopped banana and vegan ice cream…delicious!
Definitely going to try these ! Am gluten free and always looking for wholesome alternatives. Thanks for sharing!
Did you soak the cranberries?
So totally different recipe! 😂
Thank you so very much for this recipe. I just made it and it came out great! Pieces of it fell off during the bake, but it didn’t fall apart as I ate it. It tasted so much better than I expected. I’ll be making this repeatedly for sure

It's not healthy. It's just fats and sugar. Eaten in moderation it's healthy. Eat too much and it's not. Like anything else.

These look wonderful! I’ve been searching for a way to get more nuts into my diet and most “energy bars” are full of sugar. I saved your video and will make these after I do a little shopping! Thank you! Nancy - Port Townsend, Washington, USA
Yammi looks good 😍😋
Thank you, they look delish and high in protein.

This recipe looks amazing! We never buy any cookies or energy bars from the stores and always bake at home just like this. We buy lots of nuts and make energy bars at home!!!
Add raisins to the second recipe. They will be awesome.
Both of them look pretty good can't wait to try them ❤.
Or dates.
I don’t trust the honey.
yup, over 87% of all honey in usa is fake, and the way they label it allowed them to do this...@@ramonapaster6443

I’m developing a tea room but the twist is it’s healthy foods. These are perfect for the deserts. The first recipe I would only change the egg for a tablespoon of flaxseed soaked in about 3-4 tablespoons of water drain the water through a mess strainer and I use that for my egg instead of egg. I don’t eat eggs. But other than that thank you they look yummy.😋 ❤
You can maybe use egg substitute...for binding...very easy to use
Thanks for this tip. I was wondering since I'm allergic to eggs and these look delicious.
I would try to make by the sheet pan and cut into bars to save on labor costs. I hope your tea room is a success, it sounds great
I like 2 mix the honey with some molasses...but I will try adding soaked flaxseed.
I don't use raw eggs. And dried cranz over the apricots.
