Hi Sam! I just saw your video about Genially and it's been very helpful. I used it the previous school year (students loved it) but you've just showed me how to do some new nice things here. Thanks a lot! It is always a pleasure to watch your wonderful videos. Greetings 🙂
So I’ve found some of these on TPT that I really like. This video was super helpful and showing me how to create my own. My question is, is this platform also for students or made more for teachers?
Amazing as usual But you know I get confused because all of these platforms,so i don’t know which one I use or which one will be suitable for me,I usually use google slide ,canva
Lol, I just did a Pear Deck tutorial on my channel, since I use it all the time. But, it seems I might have a new presentation tool that will override that tool preference. Thanks for this video!
Ha, awesome! Yeah, there are lots of presentation tools to choose from! I will say that Pear Deck still plays a role because of the ability to see all answers coming through on your end, which you can't do with Genially.
I believe any student can learn how to use tech tools to create as long as they are provided with direct instruction about how to use programs and scaffolding (like a pre-created template) to give them a kick-start!
My district is a Microsoft district and is very against us using anything related to Google. This website looks like it runs using your Google account, which would be fine for me, but my students would not be able to use it. Do you have suggestions for websites that I can use that are associated with Microsoft geared towards my students?
You are freakin’ awesome. This was so informative and easy to follow. Genially is a game changer, though I was really bummed that I’d have to enter kids’ email addresses if I want them to work on the presentation over time! I teach online and anything that requires kids’ email addresses is a big no-no.
Thanks so much! Glad you liked the video! Yeah, having to enter emails can definitely be a barrier, but unfortunately it's often necessary in order to save progress. For now you could still use Genially just for creating more interesting/engaging presentations!
Great video, Sam. Thank you! I was wondering what tool do you use to highlight elements in your screencasts? (zoom in, make screen dark, follow cursor). I am a teacher and would like to do this in my instructional videos. Thanks!
Hi, is there a way to get rid of the Genially logo and remove their website from the bottom of my presentation? I just want to create interactive presentations that don't include the Genially website like all of their demos do.
@@NewEdTechClassroom Ooh, nice, I've tried but not seen a way to do this. Sanity check: I want to be able to click on an image and trigger an audio clip without seeing the play icon. Please point me to the right direction because this would be super useful.

...and also, I'm not using premium, is this required?
@@NewEdTechClassroom I`m working on it. They do have instruction video on the templates but they are so small and light and difficult to follow. I have been spoilt watching your videos. I am learning more by doing and being adept at PowerPoint helps.

Hi, Saly! So glad to hear you enjoyed the video and that it helped you learn more about Genially!
Oh wow lovely video thank you so much for sharing. Is there an option to save the genialy presentation as a mp4/ video file?
You're welcome! I'm not aware of a way to do it, but I'll see if I can figure it out and get back to you!
Can students edit live when you're presenting?

Thanks Sam. Fan from Ph. Just wanna know. Can I freeze my learners of I'm just presenting genially?, Thanks!
How do you do it that you drag the icons into certain places and you cannot continue until they are in the correct places? Thanks
Thank you. It looks like a neat program worth exploring.

If you had low-functioning students, would you suggest this or another online option for creating their own storybook? Thank you.

You should be able to create an account with any email address; doesn't have to be a Google email.
Fantastic tutorial brother, really highly impressed!
Thanks Jacob! We just released a new Genially video this past week too! th-cam.com/video/X3LFBfnTK5E/w-d-xo.html

Hi, how to make writing interaction possible? So that I can type while presenting?
I don't believe you can type while you're in 'present' mode.

You need one of their paid plans to remove the watermark.
Can the audio file be "hidden", so it only plays when I click on an image and doesn't show up with the player GUI?
Yes, definitely!

Although I like the ideas behind Genially, I think they should make more videos in English because my Spanish is rusty and French, non existent.
They are based out of Spain, so that's probably why!

For sure Charalampos!

Yes, though some of the templates require a premium account
