Thanks for sharing, Sam. I tried a sample document, and I can see where this might be useful for working with students in my subject area. I'm not using Google Classroom, tho, so I would have to see how efficiently Kami interfaces with my LMS before I commit too much to it.
Thanks for sharing. A great tutorial like all you do. I am learning a lot. I am new to Kami and I love it. I am a Spanish teacher and I was wondering if I can change the dictionary to Spanish as well as the speech recognition. Thank you.
I used Kami last school year and found it to be helpful for teaching hybrid. I used a "scavenger hunt " approach to allow students to learn/apply the different tools and then quizzed them (Quizizz) on their mastery. Since I teach high school, this process was a little easier, but your idea of teaching one at a time may be helpful for others. At any rate, thank you for this presentation...great refresher! Quick question: do you plan to cover the split/merge function in another video?
Hi there, this is such an incredible and fun idea 🙀We have a video on our TH-cam channel all about the Split and Merge tool which you can watch via this link: th-cam.com/video/XEtOFvMlCMo/w-d-xo.html. Let us know if you have any more questions 🤩- Kayla
Is it possible to use Kami during a Zoom session to assign different tasks to each student simultaneously while ensuring that only I can view their work in real time?
Can Google Read and Write be used within a Kami document/assignment? I know there are accessibility tools imbedded into Kami, but some students are already familiar with Google Read and Write and struggle to learn new systems....
Good morning! Just wanted to be clear you suggested the you suggested the use of a 3rd party app to screen record. Is that feature currently embedded in the most updated version?
I have working through a sample assignment for the first week of school, using your video KAMI TUTORIAL FOR TEACHERS. Current questions: what is the difference between a video comment and a screen capture video? Also- do I have to save each time I add a feature (audio comment, extra page at end of the PDF...?).
Hi Susan, I am more than happy to explain this to you! A video comment takes a video from your camera and can capture content from what you demonstrate in front of the camera. The Screen Capture tool allows you to create a short video of your screen and link it to your file as a Kami annotation. 🎥We do have the option of Autosave which you can select by going to the top right-hand corner, clicking on the little save icon and then ticking the autosave button. Additionally, if you go into your Kami settings, click 'Automatically Save My Changes to Google Drive'. This will ensure all of your annotations stay saved! - Kayla
Hi Annalie, you can also download Kami via the Google Chrome Store through this link: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kami-for-google-chrome/ecnphlgnajanjnkcmbpancdjoidceilk?hl=en
@@samueld.shuler7420 You uploaded a Kami document to Nearpod? I haven't tried that, actually, so you'll have to see how it works! I would try logging in as a student to verify before actually teaching your lesson to make sure you don't run into any problems.

@@Kamiapp Thanks, but my comment regarding split and merge was for new users possibly wanting to see the feature used.
Thanks! I'll definitely keep in mind showing how to use Split and Merge for a future Kami video!
This was very helpful. If I don't have the paid version students can still download the kami extension and do their work through classroom right?
Yes, they can!

Looks like Kami Official took care of this one!
Should I create/tailor the document with voice / video instructions etc… BEFORE I “create Kami assignment” in Google Classroom?
Yes, definitely!
How do and what program do you use to make your videos? How do I make the teaching screen behind me and your face like you do?
Hi Rosalie, I get that question a lot so I made a video about it! th-cam.com/video/qgtBjdu_usc/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps!
