Davenport New Plaza

A new grocery-anchored shopping center called Providence Place is planned at the intersection of U.S. 17-92 and Ronald Reagan Parkway in Davenport.
The 22-acre site is part of the Providence master-planned community, with more than 4,800 residential units, anchored by the Providence Golf & Country Club.
ABD Development's president, Yuval Botansky, expects to have all the necessary permits to begin mass grading the site within two weeks.
The project is under contract to Equinox Development, with a Walmart Neighborhood Market as the anchor store (43,000 square feet) and 14,700 square feet of additional retail space.
McDonald's is also considering a site within the development.
Providence Place will be on the opposite corner of the intersection from the Publix-anchored Loughman Crossing.
A second commercial center, designed as a village-type with multifamily on top, is planned at Providence, with development expected to begin in early 2025.
