      My brother loved rhubarb pie and my mom loved stewed rhubarb and rhubarb cake. I wouldn't eat anything rhubarb when I was a kid. I do now! Both ate also in heaven. Miss them much.

    Looks delicious! My favourite pie is a rhuburb pie, i got my recipe from my grandma! We hint it with a little cinnamon. We hint a little braedcrumbs under the fruit in my country. It will soak up the liquid and the tast and it going to be a thin creamy layer almost indetectable.

    Also - i would layer the strawberries and rhubarbs with mascarpone in between layers so there is a creamy taste to the pie.

    My family loves making strawberry rhubarb pie, coffee cake, and cobbler every year! They are just the perfect combo! And the rhubarb That grows in our back yard gets bigger every year :D I definitely suggest planting a rhubarb plant They are perennial so no need to get a new one each year :))

    We’re baking it for 20 minutes at 425 then baking it between 35 to 40 minutes at 375 - tent it after the first 30 minutes - Does that mean 30 minutes into the overall baking or 30 minutes into just the 35 to 40 minutes range? I’m gonna do the latter.

    Can anyone tell me is the pie crust recipe for top and bottom?
    I made two and it was so thick and the bottom didn't cook enough at the temp given. I had a 9 inch deep dish pie plate. Did the recipe exactly as the video. Can anyone help please?

    The pie tent...do you add it on after the the initial first 30mins of total cooking time, or 30mins after you turn up the heat to 425 ?

      Yes, please tell as I am baking this right now and after the first 20 minutes at 425° the outer crust is brown and still has a long way to cook. I will cook 10 more minutes at reduce heat 375° for 30 minutes total then add the foil tent and see what happens from there as it cooks for another 25 minutes or so...

    I made your apple pie recipe the other day and it turned out pretty well - the crust on the top was amazing but the bottom was a bit soggy :( I was probably too quick to take it out. Any tips on how to make sure the bottom crust is crispy and cooked through?

      You probably already got your answer but you can bake the lower pie dough in the pan in the oven until slightly browned before adding in the strawberries and rhubarb and top dough.

    I made this last year for my father in law for Father's Day, and he was touched as he's never had anyone do such for him. This year I've not been able to find rhubarb in my area. I found some in a can with light syrup. Bummer, I know! Do I need to adjust the sugar in this recipe to consider the syrup? I did plan ti rinse the rhubarb thoroughly but will that be enough. Please help. He is a very talented chef from Switzerland, and this needs to be as close to as perfect as last year.

    Want this pie to hold it’s shape...for flavor and presentation. So adding both tapioca and cornstarch would not change the flavor. Adding more sugar? Hate too tart of a taste. Also adding orange, vanilla, salt...which have you tried to adherence would be best? Salt with orange? Heard some use Strawberry jello? Bad? Have you tried any of these combos? Should this pie be kept in fridge? Room temp bring out the best taste? Thank you! August 17, 2021

    Rhubarb is so popular here in Indiana... but not with me. Just don't enjoy the texture or taste. Believe I will make this with strawberries and blueberries instead. Even though rhubarb is not my "thing," I still enjoyed all of the tips and inspirations! Liked the video... rhubarb doesn't change that!

    I have a question for not adding the fruits, I always add a little bit of breadcrumbs to the bottom is this a good way of making sure the bottom doesn’t get al watery and squishy

    I like the video, but just to let you know the recipe on your website needs a little work. No where in the directions does it tell you when to add the vanilla extract.
