The members of Hole are interviewed about the importance of L.A. punk band The Germs in their lives.
This is part of a bigger documentary about The Germs that was filmed to coincide with the release of a tribute album to the band. Hole appeared on the compilation with special guest Pat Smear under the moniker The Holez covering the Germs song "Circle 1". - เพลง

@@jasondankenbring1710 People evolve, and so does their music. Most songs on Live Through This you can see Hole performing live, before Courtney was even with or knew Kurt.

@ADHDBasketcase kurt himself was inspired by courtney's lyrics, you can clearly see some of her lyrical influence on "in utero". "milk" and "disease" type themes are constant in courtney's music. but no one would dare say kurt didn't write those songs, because as a man he is put on this ridiculous pedestal where he's been made the god of music by naive children that think they know what went on in their personal lives. they've done the same with yoko ono, brody dalle, meg white etc.

In fact, I would put Courtney slightly ahead of him in terms of musical talent, and he was already on his way out prior to his death. In Utero was a massive flop (and rightfully so), as Bleach was before it (an equally shit album), which showed the world that Nevermind was a fluke (a fluke he was unable to recreate, no less). Had he not done the world a favor with that shotgun, he would have LONG since faded into the obscurity he so richly deserved (he, along with 90% of the horrid scene he was responsible for spawning). There, that pedestal seems about the right height to me. Hope it isn't too high for you, lol.

@ADHDBasketcase oh, it all totally reeks of anti-woman sentiment. every time the woman puts out an album, she's crucified for not doing everything all on her own. most of the people making the comments have no idea how being in a band and recording albums work. it involves collaboration after collaboration and willing to accept input to do the best work possible. courtney has an amazing knack for knowing what sounds good, and she works with people to bring out the best in her.
this is all part of what I like to call the "Yoko-izing" of any woman in a band, who has the misfortune of being involved with a successful guy in a band. not only is it misogynistic, it's beyond stupid.
