@@MintyyKing you can’t really tame allays its basically an “ally” that helps you with whatever you give it so it can collect it cause if you take back its item then it would just wander away from you.
We should name the iron Golem guarding the nether Cerberus. They quite literally are guarding the gateway to hell so it fits well enough (If Librarian can find it that is)
A small tip that may help New Dunwich: Piglins are scared of their zombified counterparts and Hoglins are scared of the more blue-ish mushrooms, maybe a barrier and a few of the more rotting inhabitants could help?
@@TheLibrarianYT Intiresting indeed! We hope to see you trying our games soon. This does seem a bit arbitrary of a decision, but we figure that this is time to advertise our upcoming game.
Hearing Waterfall begin at 57:20 triggered such an emotional reaction from me. I think my mind had already been inserting that kind of ambience when watching Librarian explore the Deep Dark, and to have it reciprocated by the video overwhelmed me a little. It was incredibly gentle and relaxing for a few moments there. And to then have Librarian explain that he’s been feeling the same was such an amazing feeling.
yeah, and hes so right about the vibes of the deep dark, especially the ancient cities. it just gives off undertale vibes so much... especially like post genocide route or smth, just this completely desolate land that was once an escape from something, created a grand empire but eventually it crumbled
29:34 „Welcome. Welcome to City 17. You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining urban centers. I thought so much of City 17 that I elected to establish my Administration here, in the Citadel so thoughtfully provided by Our Benefactors. I have been proud to call City 17 my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown, welcome to City 17. It's safer here.”
Waterfall playing towards the end in the deep dark was so awesome, honestly having a soundtrack made it stand out a lot more and made it feel more imposing. This place was once grand, but not anymore.
I love how every village has had its own unique cave system and an exclusive deep dark with different caveats. Dunich with the large expanse, insmith with its narrow mines, and arkum with its large opening leading to the deepest depths of an ancient city. Its all probably coincidence but it's lined up so good im inclined to think otherwise
what if you not only cleared out the massive ancient city and took it for your own, but ALSO repaired it to bring the villagers of Arkham there and create an absolutely massive underground civilization. on another note, when you placed that bed in the nether, I was 100% expecting the villager to die horribly from a bed related accident.

It took a long time for me to realize "wait a second, he place a bed in the nether and expects the villagers to use it? This can only go wrong" and then the flip dipping villagers sleep in the bed.
This series is an immense source of comfort and nostalgia, I couldn’t be more grateful that something like this actually exists, the horror aspect is akin to my horror interests after my extensive time in Minecraft on the Xbox360, combining them just makes that creepy and comfy feeling all the more authentic.
to fix the sad and dead-looking grass, you can use moss, which looks close to the grass and is a bright green everywhere. the same trick works with azalea leaves for trees. this can make the nether look even more like the overworld, but if you are going for the vibe of everything looking dead and not caring because colonisation, that is cool too :D
Librarian if you do not already know music discs 11, 13( wait to 1:41 in the track) and 5 (the one that's shattered in the deep dark) are thick with lore. Edit: also please look into some mods to help with world stability and performance. I really don't want to see this series be cancelled simply because of minecrafts performance problems.
I think his PC is good, and as such I think it might be helpful for him to just use the OptiFine Settings or even the base game settings, give the Game more RAM, at most 4, otherwise it runs like shit, and use Chunk Compiling, maybe even fully Blocked Compiling.
@@madbruv Minecraft is a game with code still over from 2009, it only really effectively uses one of your CPU's cores. You should never give Minecraft more than half your PC's RAM, so if you have 32, you can give it 16, but it will run like crap. The most you should give the base game is maybe 5 or 6GB.
In that broken up tape, you can hear the sounds of a wither spawning, and then, after the warden appears, being killed. Perhaps a battle between beasts?
Waterfall really is the perfect soundtrack for the Deep Dark. So pretty yet mysterious and ominous. And of course there are visual similarities with that area in UT, with all the glowing blue lights in the darkness.
57:21 - I REALYY like the addition of music to this section, and would find it fun if you added more music in this series! I think it adds a unique sense to each scene and builds to the feeling you get from each scenario, such as the Waterfall motif in the deep dark making it feel much more serene than scary at the moment.
if you didnt notice when the fanart at the 1:26 starts to fade to black there is a shadow figure standing right at the back of the librarian candle thats really cool and creepy by the way while watching this video the herobrine running behind you at 1:02:49 actually triggered the sculk i dont know if you already knew this but i just realized herobrine can actually trigger the sculk
You should really add your own music to the background more often like this bit of the video 57:20, it really adds so much to the ambiance of the scene
25:59 I love the way you sounded at the end of "I suppose the alternative is I could buy gold clothing for all the villagers but um... No" it was like 'did you really think that was an option?'
Love the emergent story telling of both a village related to the occult, with a Ancient city full of eldritch presences, and you noticing the fact that some of the architecture seems to be more blueish and wooden, and ending with the note of what seems like a explorers last moments in that city. It seems the inhabitants of Arkham beat you to finding the city!
Suprised that he did not realise that the walking at the start of the music disk was the marching of a army. Or at least I have no idea what else it could be.
As residents of Arkham always come relax in their wooden boxes, make elevators of water just to almost drown and many other weird stuff, it comes to my mind, if the town haven't fell into insanity a long time ago, due to all the eldritch knowledge surrouding it. Ancient city with blind idiot god? Cursed artefacts? Flying horrors? That's a LOT to take in. What if they were insane this whole time.
Hey Liberian, the weird sound you heard when you were in the village it was actually a fox. They were added a while ago and yes they do make those creepy screams.
That disc tells a story and I think it's when they discover the warden you may not have noticed but there is a portal in the city though you can't do anything with it and I believe that an ancient race of people built it, but when they lit the portal the warden and skullck came through destroying everything. Its quite fascinating how much lore is in this game I absolutely love it. Also love the video 💙
_Waterfall_ caught me so off-guard that I started going through each note to make sure it was what I was thinking of. And, honestly, it fits so well with the Deep Dark, especially since Waterfall itself is dark, and deep inside Undertale; which world is by itself deep inside a cavern. I went really well thematically, and I'm all in for it. Great episode as always!
Planning on transforming a city of which the walls are made of the souls of those who fell into a vacation home, Librarian is a dark lord in the making
I genuinely exclaim and giggle in excitement like a little girl whenever I get notifications from you. I'm supposed to do the dishes, and vaccum. But this is the world's best excuse to procrastinate a little. Thank you so much, this is the first thing i check in the morning. And maybe a hundred more times until its uploaded.
I just noticed he liked my comment. I had a rough day today . Coming back to rewatch this episode to relax and seeing this just made my entire week. He is the literal best youtuber on the site, and has inspired me to draw again for the first time since 2018. I can’t wait to him to hopefully see it when I finish.
I appreciate the undertale waterfall music you added in, you're right in how it's appropriate, the deep dark and waterfall both have a similar color palette and aesthetic. It's also very nostalgic, it's been a long time since I last played undertale.
I really hope librarian starts collecting the music disks from creepers soon, Really want Liberty And percy to have more music in their lives, I heard 11 is a pretty good one...
Disc 5 is one of my favorite discs because through it's unsettling sound cues it tells a story to any perceptive listeners, to me the disc tells a story of how the deep dark came to be, perhaps the massive portal in the middle of the ancient city was once opened by the people who came before us and they discovered the origins/home dimension of the sculk and warden and also how even thought they destroyed the portal they accidentally brought the sculk to our world destroying their city in the process, maybe the disc being shattered was shattered so the people in the once city wouldn't know the truth, or perhaps it was broken in the escape from the warden.
mending tool has to be equipped while you receive XP for it to heal but being in your offhand counts you can literally hold it in your offhand while you feed your chickens or mine coal until you see it completely healed
I swear your whistling window sounds so much like a human voice and actually makes a good addition to your videos think about it Herobrine standing behind you passive of aggressively whistling in your ear LMAO or maybe other lost souls that still haunt the lost city moaning in protest as you take it from them
the new disc obtained from the ancient city reminds me exactly of creepy/comfy stuff weirdly enough. you have the lore of the disc itself which is earie on its own, but also the slight temporary music which oddly has a comforting feel alongside the creepiness of it all
Instead of New Dunwich, or if you make another city in The Nether or in another dimension, you give the settlement the name of Kaddath, the name is that of an ancient city and the home of the dream-gods of Earth, also known for being hidden somewhere either in Antartica or in the mythical realm known as The Dreamlands.
There's a really cool resource pack called Fresh Animations, it makes nearly all the creatures in the game move more detailed and realistically. I think it's really worth checking out. Also I had no idea villagers could use beds in the nether, I was really expecting them to explode
Day 5 of reposting of my previous comment for Librarian to see. -Pumpkins will grow faster when near water. -Smelting iron and gold weapons/armor/tools gives you nuggets. -You can grow the nether trees in the overworld using netherrack and placing the nether specific mushrooms on top. You can also grow the blue mushrooms to get blue wood. -Phantoms only spawn when you don't sleep for multiple nights. -Creepers drop records when killed by a skeleton. -Grindstones get rid of enchantments on gears/tools/books so enchanted items you don't want can yield exp. t also refreshes the enchantments so if you put the item back in the table you'll get new ones. -With protection enchantments you can only put one type on each armor piece. So you can't have blast protection and projectile protection/regular protection on at the same time.
Villagers get there biome dependent skin depending on the biome they spawn in however they are limited to biomes where villages naturally spawn (with the exception of swamps and jungle biomes) if they spawn out side one of these biomes they will default to the planes biome skin
Dude, your story telling and way of roleplaying each scenario is honestly amazing if i saw two of the mobs just walk near each other i wouldnt think much of it, but you'd announce it as them playing or saying hi to each other which just adds loads of character to them you'd be insane in a Dnd campaign
God, as someone whose childhood occurrd through the mid-2010s, the combination of unedited (or, at least, not as heavily edited) Minecraft gameplay + Undertale's OST at 57:23 brings out so many memories. I wouldn'y exactly say nostalgia, since that word seems to hold a bit of a more negative connotation that I would like, but that mix of core elements from games I played non-stop in 2014-2015 just, I dunno, brings me back.
I realize this is like 8 months late to comment BUT to answer your question at the end, I do like episodes like this. It makes the payoff feel better when youve shown the building towards your goal
I loved this episode! episodes where a good amount of busy-work and stuff is done isn't very boring as long as you commentate over it, hearing your funny quips and remarks while you go about your business building and mining is very enjoyable.
Herobrine is probably trying to get to Chris’ Allays. 2:28 Standing above the throne room. 4:22 Infiltrating the house 10:16 Standing outside the house 15:36 Making sure that only he can get them himself. 37:22 Making sure their father isn’t around to save them. 50:59 Ready to run through that portal. 54:25 Sending a message to Chris.
That white thing you found carrying a dirt block is called a fox or a snow fox you can tame on by feeding it berries from bushes or flow berries from the moss caves it can attack, hunt and also carry blocks like Liberty
Sadly you can't really 𝙩𝙖𝙢𝙚 them- the best you can do is bread two together and the baby will trust you meaning it won't run away when you get close, they also only really attack chickens and rabbits I think? tho I do wish you could get an actual 𝙥𝙚𝙩 of more then just cats, dogs and birds.
@@Dragonairy They're actually mostly tamed! Unless they removed that? You could make them sit, they're attack things that attack you (similar to wolves, except unlike wolves they could hold enchanted swords making them do a lot of damage). They do go after chickens and rabbits and fish however hence why they're not "fully tamed". I remember I tamed one to use in an auto cooked chicken farm lol (gave it an enchanted diamond sword that would light the chicken on fire producing cooked chicken).
@@testerwulf3357 from what I know they won't attack other mobs (except chickens and rabbits) but the sword part I do think works. tho I am on bedrock so they could act differently on other versions?
Kind been bugging me from the start, why there's a lack of villagers sometimes: If a house's door is open at night, and the villager gets scared before they can properly register the house as safe, they wont go into the open house and will get killed
The part where you played Waterfall made me feel so odd, for a second i didn't notice what was playing, when i took notice of it though it gave some kind of musical epiphany, like i realized how well Waterfall fits the Ancient City right as you started playing that track. Really hard to describe, just wow
You can block skulk sensors from activating shriekers if you place wool around them, which is going to block the signal from reaching the shriekers and calling the warden
I personally see the skulk disc as of course, a fusion of recording and music disc, we hear the disc's music for a sec because of how it is put together, maybe it was filling blank space, two connected, some suggest the deep dark has a portal, the giant theing thats shaped like the warden that is right next to your ladder, ironically where you first fell into the deep dark to meet the deep dark's guardian, I personally theorize the people who used to leave here were messing around with something greater, trying to make something more then a nether portal, a portal for truly inbetween travel, trying to find portals to connect their bases, but in doing so they seemingly let in whatever possibly is home in that inbetween, and the portal seemingly shut behind and also seemingly...the warden defeated a boss due to the noises in the background anyways, aside from my little ramble, this series really has made me come to appreciate the worlds of minecraft also maybe as an idea the nether housing area, maybe you could call that nevillia, mainly as a call to the current place it resides, and what it is, a village
I just want to thank you for becoming one of my new favorite "comfort" youtubers on this platform :), I genuinely just listening to your observations in every game you play (and especially when it ends up causing you to be off guard for jumpscares haha), keep up the great uploads and I cant wait to see whatever unpredictable thing you get up to next :)
1:10:00 that part sounded almost like a portal opening, at the very least that was a lot of soul sounds, followed directly by the sculk sensing whoever was recording that. Maybe that was the origin of the skulk? The ancient city does have that structure in the middle, with the unique blocks, that's oddly shaped like a portal. Or maybe the person in the recording wasn't someone who didn't make it as far as we, but someone who ventured a lot further and meddled with something they weren't prepared for.
ok... at 1:04 it felt like they became the monster they were hunting, the irony of the cursed item he got day one that implies the previous "Ghosts" are him trying to warn him to not go further, but unable to give him the correct path, warning him if he hears the static the curse will take hold of him too, so far he has been lucky from what it seams.
Once wool is placed, sound cannot traverse through it. I suggest setting wool around shriekers. Hope you see this, because it's REALLY helpful for me, no telling what it can do for you!
Just started watching this video so you might've already done this but you should seperate the rooms in the glass maze with doors and have them open with pressure plates so youre actually moving through different rooms and they're technically "outside."
I love all of your videos. They're so strangely calming despite it being horror game/mod content. The way you describe feelings and things like that is so strangely relaxing. Your videos really help me sleep. Keep doing your thing man!
I have such an emotional attachment to this series now, it's insane. Librarian, you've quickly become one of my favorite people to watch! Your storytelling and commentary is fresh and amazing. I look forward to watching your other content as well once I finish this series!!
One thing for helping with crashes might be allocating more ram to Minecraft. By default it'll only allocate 4 gigs max, but you can change that, and there are many tutorials here on TH-cam to do so
There are certain Villagers which I believe are literally called "Nitwits", and they will NEVER get a job from a Job Block, and just stay as a plain useless guy forever; I think old green-cloak might be one of those! And Striders, the weird two-legged cube guys in the Nether, they go grey and shivery when they aren't touching lava. Also, could the instability be due not only to the largeness of the world, but also because you are on a "beta" version of the mod? Maybe all the kinks haven't been worked out, is all Very funny (and cool way) of discovering Ancient Debris/Netherite BTW!
i absolutely loved the undertale ost playing!! also i would recommend putting cobblestone under the dirt in the nether just in case a ghast ever fires something at you lol, other than that, i'm enjoying this gameplay so much!
This series baceme the series I always dream about after every part ends. This and the Garry's Mod VR map exploration videos are and will forever be my favourite videos from Librarian And also, music disc 5 is supposed to represent the Warden and the Deep Dark, this is what I heard, idk if it's true, only Mojang knows for sure what it represents.
Excited for another video also the ender dragon isn't that hard you just need to know what to do.The sighting sense thing comes from the youtuber boadasnakeman who suggested it.
If there's a lot of skulk shriekers in the same place, you can fully cover them with wool when breaking, and the sound wont be able to go thru wool and activate other sensors
I feel like the crashes might be because the file size for the world itself is too large. Maybe find some sort of world culling to delete the information of unused chunks so the file is smaller

29:34
„Welcome.
Its all probably coincidence but it's lined up so good im inclined to think otherwise
what if you not only cleared out the massive ancient city and took it for your own, but ALSO repaired it to bring the villagers of Arkham there and create an absolutely massive underground civilization.
on another note, when you placed that bed in the nether, I was 100% expecting the villager to die horribly from a bed related accident.
oh no villagers can sleep in the nether
that explosive fate is only reserved to players

hearing waterfall got me by surprise. The starting notes I could barely recognized them. Then I began to recognize it, in my SOUL.
It took a long time for me to realize "wait a second, he place a bed in the nether and expects the villagers to use it? This can only go wrong"
and then the flip dipping villagers sleep in the bed.
This series is an immense source of comfort and nostalgia, I couldn’t be more grateful that something like this actually exists, the horror aspect is akin to my horror interests after my extensive time in Minecraft on the Xbox360, combining them just makes that creepy and comfy feeling all the more authentic.
The authentic mood was slightly ruined by the Patreon ad, but we won't complain, as it will make us all a hypocrite.
to fix the sad and dead-looking grass, you can use moss, which looks close to the grass and is a bright green everywhere. the same trick works with azalea leaves for trees. this can make the nether look even more like the overworld, but if you are going for the vibe of everything looking dead and not caring because colonisation, that is cool too :D
Lmao I suggested this litteraly 8 episodes or more ago when he found the moss.
Funny how my advices get ignored a LOT
@@niku4154 why max 4gb ram? Cant i like give it 20?

You should really add your own music to the background more often like this bit of the video 57:20, it really adds so much to the ambiance of the scene
that was definetly my favorite part of this episode
I love how he actually added in the soundtrack for Waterfall area! The skulk has a similar glow to the walls in Waterfall!
Btw; You DON'T want to equip anything with Curse of Binding, believe me.

I really hope librarian starts collecting the music disks from creepers soon, Really want Liberty And percy to have more music in their lives, I heard 11 is a pretty good one...
As soon as he put beds in the nether panic was set into motion
I love how all the rng stuff fits perfectly in the lore that is being made
Librarian Fried Chicken is the funniest thing I've seen all day.
Disc 5 is one of my favorite discs because through it's unsettling sound cues it tells a story to any perceptive listeners, to me the disc tells a story of how the deep dark came to be, perhaps the massive portal in the middle of the ancient city was once opened by the people who came before us and they discovered the origins/home dimension of the sculk and warden and also how even thought they destroyed the portal they accidentally brought the sculk to our world destroying their city in the process, maybe the disc being shattered was shattered so the people in the once city wouldn't know the truth, or perhaps it was broken in the escape from the warden.
mending tool has to be equipped while you receive XP for it to heal but being in your offhand counts you can literally hold it in your offhand while you feed your chickens or mine coal until you see it completely healed

the footsteps at 1:08:14 turn into some sort of march with people with armor it sounds like. maybe they had an army?
the new disc obtained from the ancient city reminds me exactly of creepy/comfy stuff weirdly enough. you have the lore of the disc itself which is earie on its own, but also the slight temporary music which oddly has a comforting feel alongside the creepiness of it all
Man this feels so nostalgic

Waterfall was the perfect choice of music!!
If you hit F3+H it will allow you to see the durability on any item when you hover over it that will allow you to see when mending takes affect.
This is literally my most favorite let's play in years. Please keep it up.
Villagers get there biome dependent skin depending on the biome they spawn in however they are limited to biomes where villages naturally spawn (with the exception of swamps and jungle biomes) if they spawn out side one of these biomes they will default to the planes biome skin
Dude, your story telling and way of roleplaying each scenario is honestly amazing
if i saw two of the mobs just walk near each other i wouldnt think much of it, but you'd announce it as them playing or saying hi to each other which just adds loads of character to them
you'd be insane in a Dnd campaign
ok, i really liked that waterfall part. it added so much to the vibe, and it was really fitting.
I can't describe the way that seeing a new video from The Librarian, especially a From The Fog one makes me feel

@@Dragonairy oh gotcha welp I was wrong sorry librarian
@@Dragonairy They're actually mostly tamed! Unless they removed that? I remember I tamed one to use in an auto cooked chicken farm lol (gave it an enchanted diamond sword that would light the chicken on fire producing cooked chicken).
@@testerwulf3357 from what I know they won't attack other mobs (except chickens and rabbits) but the sword part I do think works. tho I am on bedrock so they could act differently on other versions?
I rarely feel the need to comment on things like this, but I adore the integration of the waterfall theme in the ancient city.
The "hellooo everyonee" is nostalgic for me now
I'm really glad you installed the villager lead datapack, villager transport is one of the most annoying tasks in Minecraft
I love every single episode of yours no matter what you decide to do in any of them!
I personally see the skulk disc as of course, a fusion of recording and music disc, we hear the disc's music for a sec because of how it is put together, maybe it was filling blank space, two connected, some suggest the deep dark has a portal, the giant theing thats shaped like the warden that is right next to your ladder, ironically where you first fell into the deep dark to meet the deep dark's guardian, I personally theorize the people who used to leave here were messing around with something greater, trying to make something more then a nether portal, a portal for truly inbetween travel, trying to find portals to connect their bases, but in doing so they seemingly let in whatever possibly is home in that inbetween, and the portal seemingly shut behind and also seemingly...the warden defeated a boss due to the noises in the background
anyways, aside from my little ramble, this series really has made me come to appreciate the worlds of minecraft
also maybe as an idea the nether housing area, maybe you could call that nevillia, mainly as a call to the current place it resides, and what it is, a village
Hope you see this, because it's REALLY helpful for me, no telling what it can do for you!
wow, I am so, so, SO happy that my art got into the fan-art section! Thanks again Librarian, I appreciate it :)
So glad you made a Patreon!! I sadly can’t contribute but I hope you get the support you deserve!!
One thing for helping with crashes might be allocating more ram to Minecraft. By default it'll only allocate 4 gigs max, but you can change that, and there are many tutorials here on TH-cam to do so
You should build a lab for all of your experiments with sculk and other stuff
Great content as always
This series fr never gets old.
Maybe all the kinks haven't been worked out, is all
Very funny (and cool way) of discovering Ancient Debris/Netherite BTW!
i absolutely loved the undertale ost playing!! also i would recommend putting cobblestone under the dirt in the nether just in case a ghast ever fires something at you lol, other than that, i'm enjoying this gameplay so much!
I think a shrine to Nether Sheep would be appropriate, a symbol of adaptation and assimilation into this strange new realm
it still baffles me that villagers can sleep in the nether with no consequences
This series baceme the series I always dream about after every part ends. This and the Garry's Mod VR map exploration videos are and will forever be my favourite videos from Librarian
And also, music disc 5 is supposed to represent the Warden and the Deep Dark, this is what I heard, idk if it's true, only Mojang knows for sure what it represents.
From being shipwrecked on a forgotten land to governing over eldritchian abominations powered by the souls of aincent beings
I feel like the crashes might be because the file size for the world itself is too large. Maybe find some sort of world culling to delete the information of unused chunks so the file is smaller
Not an expert but there are world files that are multiple gigabytes in size [like that 1:1 earth project so I don't think that's the issue
