GOLD, DIAMONDS, FLOWERS, COCOA, COLTAN, TEA, COFFEE, FRUITS, BASICALLY EVERYTHING. THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL SOON RESPECT OUR MOTHERLAND AND KISS OUR HANDS. PEACE, LOVE N UNITY TO ALL MY AFRICAN STATES, LOVE FROM KENYA 🇰🇪

      Switzerland will be fine. They can import cocoa from other countries. As for Ghana though; what good is having an exportable resource if you are not going to export it to bring in revenue to your country? Creating a trade deficit just to make a point? Ghana may be making this move because they feel confident that the investment from China will make up for any shortfall. That sounds great until they realize what China's true motivations are. By then, it will be too late for Ghana and most of Africa when China begins its colonization in earnest.

    • @KiRetteCouture

      @@KayFabe87 China has already begun its colonisation. What
      I understand Ghana is trying to do is to get away from dependency. Why ever not? If they plan it well, they can attract the right investment and become a manufacturer. Why should Africa be condemned to only producing raw materials? The prices these people are often paid for such a valuable commodity are ridiculous. If only the AU could actually tackle this matter. Switzerland and others would be acting better.

      The point of not exporting Cocoa to Switzerland is to produce products from Cocoa within Ghana.
      The Chinese will not colonize Africa like the immoral exploitive Europeans that made Africa poor.
      The lessons from imperialism were obviously learned. I'm sure Ghana will not allow itself to be exploitive as they are lead by this great President. Ghana should produce finished products such as chocolates themselves to gain more profits.
      You did not listen to the content of the video. The president of Switzerland or the representative fell just short of begging for Cocoa because they really need it from Ghana. Switzerland desires huge deposits of Cocoa therefore they will not be okay!
      Ghana needs to be self reliant and should deal with a new international trading partner such as the Chinese because the Europeans proved to be the worst thing that happened to Africa in making it poor through colonialism.

      I believe Switzerland actually pays for the cocoa they import from Ghana. You act as if they take it by force. What good is having a resource to export if you are not going to actually export it in return for payment? That is how you end up with a trade deficit. Not very beneficial for your country.

    Switzerland will be just fine with or without cocoa from Ghana, whereas Ghana is sabotaging itself by not exporting a product that actually has value to countries willing to buy it. How does this even remotely benefit Ghana? People are acting as if Switzerland is taking the cocoa by force as opposed to paying for it. If Ghana and Africa in general think that antipathy towards European nations is somehow beneficial, then Ghana and the other African nations need to prepare to bow to their Chinese masters in the near future.

    • @cheezeball6109
      @cheezeball6109 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, but they will learn.....If Ghana wanted to grow, the govt needs to help in the increase in infrastructure to support this manufacturing sector. Have to walk before you run...Ghana is still crawling. Has South Africa done anything with itself since being woke? Nope, all down the drain. This will be rinse, and repeat. This mega production will not happen overnight. These politicians have no idea about business, and how things run. They may have altruistic intentions, but naive on implementation. Its cool to be anti-Europe, but the Chinese are whispering sweet nothings in their ear. China on the other hand, can buy the chocolate, and be a threat, and i am sure this is up their sleeve. On the flip side, the Western view of raping your neighbors for resources is only going to go so far. This would have continued to work, but with China's economic growth; that business model is failing. China has secured Australia's neighbors, and buying out key European companies, and technologies, and giving Africans the hope of economic freedom, while enslaving them with public works projects. When China is done with them, Africa they will wish they will have the option to stand on stage, and talk smack. China is priming Africa to be China 2.0 as its middle class is rising. Again what do i know, i am a keyboard warrior.
