- In this Blender 3.1 tutorial, we will be creating easy ground DESTRUCTION effects in under 4 minutes! This technique is done using a unique cell fracturing effect and the annotation tool. The rest is done using Blender's Physics system and particles to create extra debris for even more IMPACT in the destruction effect.

if anyone else is having problems with the objects not 'falling' when you add solid body to them, you have to bake the frames you want it to be active then itll work, what I did was bake it right near the end when everything was supposed to explode etc then it worked.

There is a time when i tried to play the simulation (rigid body + cell fracture) first it was going okay second (and the rest) it explode, any reason why?
So, the thing that is making the floor explode is not the character but the torus?

I'm having a little trouble.
I follow your tutorial exactly, but the breakable parts break as soon as I hit play. They come flying out of the container before the torus even comes into contact with them. Any suggestions? Also, I was wondering, could you use layers of breakables to add different sized chunks? Can different size and shape container be used to house these chunks? A cone perhaps?
How could I Import this to unreal as an animated asset for a ground effect?
I cant use the "Connect rigid bodies" panel its greyed out, why ? im using blender 3.6
I keep getting an error message when trying to connect the rigid bodies... something about how 'nonetype' object has no attribute 'location'. I have no idea what this is about!

Does baking the rigid body animation prevent anymore future simulation? I baked the ground destruction but decided to try the same thing on other things, after adding Active to it, it doesn't work
Yes it does, you will have to delete the bake, then re-bake the simulation for any additional elements you are adding on top.

Hey is there any way I can like, pause the cell fracture animation? I want to have a scene where the character breaks through something and then stays in mid air with the cells and have the camera spin around him
Scene Properties>Rigid Body World>Cache> And then you input when you want to star and end the simulation
gr8 pacing but the connect rigid body menu is greyed out for me anyone know why?
figured it out u have to create it as a rigid body as well in physics menu first I believe
How you fix the bouncing of the cells before collision with the object???

@@hippo_edits you should put the other object of the scene like the plane a little bit far of the block that breaks cause if the are touching the simulation go crazy

it's i for inset and e for extrude
also i in object mode is for keyframes so make sure you are in edit mode

there is no cell fracture
At the top left of your screen click edit, then at the bottom of the dropdown click preferences with the gear icon next to it. Now you are in your addons menu thing so then type in the top right ish corner "cell fracture". Then just click the little box, close the addons window and you should be good!

Hi there.. if I may give a suggestion, your face are to close to the camera, and this is maybe my personal opinion, seeing a switch up between blender and u talking to the camera feels "distracting".
