Why not dip the ball in the container of house paint first? Then invert on the stick. Less wasted paint then. These are absolutely gorgeous!! Great idea!!
Wow! Just gorgeous. Beautiful colors. Watching in 2022 from Texas, USA. Your channel popped up in my feed and so happy it did. This is exactly the way I want my ornaments to look. Love the stars as gift boxes. So fun in a stocking as well. Love reusable things. Thank you for sharing.
Love it! I have TONS of latex paint that I picked up from the local paint store that is called “oops” paints. I have dozens of cans that I use for painting flips and anything else. Now it’s going to be making this beautiful project you have here this weekend! I Love the stars, I have wooden ones that I was going to decoupage a paper photo of the family members that have passed away.
My thought and how I do it is scrape up the excess White House paint back into the container before I add the colors. I noticed you did it to the big one but could have easily put back into container.
These are stunning.Great job.Only thing that gave me anxiety was all the wasted paint! Can you not quickly scrape it back into the jug after to save waste? They will look fabulous on a tree.Beautiful job!
Here it is 2022 still loving your creativity. I'm trying the star shape bauble this Christmas. I love your Brit accent especially when you say 'pretty' Merry Christmas Claire, from Canada Free!🚚🚛🚜
Claire Schaffrath thank you. If it is only to increase the vibrancy of colours so in theory any gloss varnish should work? I use liquitex gloss varnish, have you tried that. Also does the elasticity to the paints comes from the valspar ?
Thanks Claire. I love watching your videos, they are absolutely brilliant. You make it look so easy, maybe one day I’ll get the bloom effect right😂😂🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful! Can I ask a question please? My PM (exactly same mix as yours) dulled the bronze Pebeo significantly. Is there a particular brand acrylic paint you use ? Many thanks
Hi Sara I use a beautiful high quality bronze called Creall bronze acrylic and it doesn’t dull with the pm. I also use monte marte gold but I do not put a lot of pm in my metallics sometimes I may just add some jo sonya polyurethane gloss and that’s it..most of the cells are created with the cell activator Aussie floetrol x
Hi Claire, ty sooo much for teaching us, they’re gorgeous!! Quick question, normally I use a mix of floetrol and water (recipe from mixed media girl) or a 1:2 mix of paint and liquitex. Can I still use these for my colors for the baubles? Don’t think I can find that stuff you use, here in Belgium 🙈 And do I understand correctly that you pour a mix of floetrol and amsterdam medium at the very end without any paint in it? If so, could that been done with my floetrol/water mix or pure liquitex? Thanks in advance, have a nice week!
Patricia Morias you’re welcome. My recipe I use is listed as a link to my fluid bloom video number 4 in the description under the video. If you have done the sheleeart course there is a European Facebook group which should be able to help you with products available in your country x
This is the sheleeart/fluid bloom technique whereby you only put the Australian floetrol into the cell activator. This is not a regular acrylic pour. I am using house paint for the white base
Bonita la tecnica quedan hermosas los adornos pero para mi botas mucho material se pierde....imagina pintar unas 12 ..o 24 esferas no alcansa es mucha pintura.....
Hi Kim I wouldn’t worry too much about getting saliva on the ornament. You will be finishing the ornament once dry with a coat of varnish spray if you are concerned about any contamination. You don’t tend to get saliva on it when you blow out the bloom x
Beautiful.. I use a lazy Susan under all of my projects. Makes turning your items easier.
Love how the stars look like marble.
Why not dip the ball in the container of house paint first? Then invert on the stick. Less wasted paint then. These are absolutely gorgeous!! Great idea!!
lol, we both had the same idea 😁 makes sense to me.
I watched another lady today and she actually did just dip the ball in and turn it upside down and that’s the way she did the varnish as well
These were gorgeous I love the colors

just beautiful!
I think I would try blowing with straw after each color poured 🤔🤔🤔
I have a suggestion to save the base paint cut a hole in a disposable paper plate with the waxed coating and you can save most of it
Simply stunning
Absolutely gorgeous work
Beautiful!!those are my favorite colors. 😉👏👌👍
These are stunning!
l'm so excited you posted this Claire. Thankyou for you generosity in posting this
You’re welcome 💜
They are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing
Leonie Smith thank you and you’re welcome x
I want to scrape and use the excess white paint. Live this technique
Awwwww I"m so new at this.......I just clicked on reading MORE and you have ALL the information I need.......
Diane Lerner no worries I wasn’t sure where to find the description when I first started using TH-cam either x
Love the stars‼️‼️‼️just beautiful ‼️‼️

shirley asafo-boakye you’re welcome x
Hi What about a sticky dot on the end of the stick inside the bauble to hold it a bit steadier, if it doesn't come out it won't matter 😊
WOW, I bet your Christmas tree is amazing. Those are gorgeous. Thank you
have you tried using a rubber tube for blowing the paints? seems like you would have a more controlled pattern.
My thought and how I do it is scrape up the excess White House paint back into the container before I add the colors. I noticed you did it to the big one but could have easily put back into container.
Claire they're lovely and so want to give it a try!
Put a cup in bottom of small paper cup to catch run off and a bit later take stake and bulb up
They're really beautiful ❤️
WOW CLAIRE.....you are amazing........can't wait to see more.....thank you!!!!
Thank you very much 💜

Stunningly gorgeous!
Beautiful!
Thank you for sharing Claire, these are next on my to do list. I thought I may try with deep purple, green and gold 🤞
My pleasure and yes a gold cell activator would look wow against the purple..can’t wait to see them 💜
awesome !

Claretaylor6125 basterebbe immergere la pallina nella vernice, zero spreco😮

These are sooo cool, just gorgeous. I have to pass this on to my dil who pours. I want to do it but seriously can’t have one more craft. Love ❤️ them!
Thank you so much x
LOVE your balls!! About to attempt some myself at some point this weekend as you’ve inspired me to spend money! Just need to practice my ‘blow’ 🤣🤣🤣
Super prelijepo bravo 👍💗💕😘💓❤️💓💯🥰❤️💓❤️💓💯🥰
I didn't expect them to come out so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
They are amazing Claire does the activator make the cells sorry I’ve never done this type of thing before. Thanks
Fantabulous! You did a wonderful job of teaching us all how to create these beautiful ornaments! Thank you so much, Claire! ♥♥♥
Kris Shelledy you’re welcome x
what's in the cell activator?
Can you use any acrylic paint or crafting paint.
What do you do with all the paint that rolls off? I’d it wasted? Can it be saved and reused ?
Какие изумительные игрушки!
Thanks so much for making the video. They are stunning! I will be giving it a try.
Úžasná práce.
do you use Australian floetrol?
Amazing Claire. I am so happy to find your
Channel. Love it. Best wishes from Austria 👍👍🙋♀️❤
Thank you for sharing, Claire! They're beautiful! Can't wait to try this.
You’re welcome x
Please can you tell me where you ordered glass baubles from
They are absolutely beautiful. What does the gloss varnish do in the pouring medium? also can you skip the varnish?
shinnysood you can absolutely skip it it just makes the cells and colours more vibrant but you don’t need it x
Claire Schaffrath thank you. If it is only to increase the vibrancy of colours so in theory any gloss varnish should work? I use liquitex gloss varnish, have you tried that. Also does the elasticity to the paints comes from the valspar ?
Can you wait until they are dry and take them outside to spray a protective coating on them?
Yes I do I wait about two days and spray them with two coats of rustoleum clear coat as mentioned in description below video x
@@claireschaffrath6630 - Ok thank you!
So beautiful, thanks for sharing. Does anyone know substitutes for products in the US? Thanks. Be well all :)
Absolutely beautiful. I just want to make sure I heard right. You do two coats of the spray sealant? Thanks so much for this video. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you yes two coats x
Thanks Claire. I love watching your videos, they are absolutely brilliant. You make it look so easy, maybe one day I’ll get the bloom effect right😂😂🙏🙏🙏
Thank you very much...you’ll get there just keep practicing x
Très joli
So fabulous!! Thank you! ❤
So house paint is gonna stick to plastic and glass and not just take your fingernail. Be able to peel it off
Wall paint is a bit expensive just to coat a bauble isnt it?🤔
All the ones I have seen on amazon are fillable so come in two parts
Wowww so beautiful ❤❤ i love it so much🤎💛🤍🖤

🔥🔥🔥🔥
like watching paint drying
Question, why don’t you put the Flotrol directly into your paints to create the cells? Also is your Amsterdam Acrylic just a white acrylic paint?
This is the sheleeart/fluid bloom technique whereby you only put the Australian floetrol into the cell activator. This is not a regular acrylic pour. I am using house paint for the white base
Thank you for the kindly reply!
VERY, VERY, VERY BEAUTIFUL 👏👏👏😍😍😍 -Elisete - Blumenau - SC Date: 09/12/21 VERY GOOD 😍😍😍😍

L😍 VELY ❤
Pretty but it seems like a lot of wasted paint.
Could you use keyboard compressed air to avoid any possibility of getting saliva in your ornament?
Hi Kim I wouldn’t worry too much about getting saliva on the ornament. You will be finishing the ornament once dry with a coat of varnish spray if you are concerned about any contamination. You don’t tend to get saliva on it when you blow out the bloom x
1st🥳
I think it would be easier to dip the ball in a deep cup then tip upside down on wooden dowel or skewer, you wouldn’t waste all that paint 😳
Get yourself an enema bulb, save you blowing like mad
Lovely but far too many materials and lots of waste so not for me
too long. we get it, two bulbs upside down.
You waste a lot of paint
These are stunning!
