I am 5 mins in and have shared this with my group!! Thank you for sharing this .Pqkoooueeee!!!!! ( my head exploding!).Wowee What beauties!! Great discount and the recipe . I know what I will be doing in the new year!! You have got this thing Down Woman and your Rockin it BIG TIME!!!
Wow!! Thank you so much! I got the toothpick idea from Erica Hughes, who uses nails in wood. I just put three toothpicks in a triangle shape into the styrofoam, and then I rested the ornament on the toothpicks. It is not connected, just balanced there on the three of them. Hope that makes sense.
Poke a popsicle stick or thin dowel into the foam. Place ornament on the stick by inserting the stick into the opening of the ornament. No need for toothpicks which end up removing bits of paint. Both sides of the ornament will be visible so you can see where the paint is going!
I was mildly excited 😜 (LOL). At least I didn't break out in song like I did in the video before this one! LOL! So happy for your success Cathleen! Your do amazing work and have inspired a lot of folks! Thanks for visiting my channel 💚💙💛💜

@@JennyPostI don't think anything's ever gonna beat what you just did with that very special piece you just made (the thumbnail for the video.) But I would surely have some fun trying!! Wow! So so beautiful Jenny! Instead of a turkey baster you could try using aquarium tubing...it is flexible and you can cut it to the length that works best for whatever piece you are working on.
Ohhh! This is a great idea and I think I have some around! I really like it when my mouth blowing does the job because it gives it a nice round shape (as opposed to the fingery shape I get blowing through straws and turkey basters). (Wondering if there is any room on my Christmas Wish List, or if I need to start another page...... or two or three?! Ya gotta love being a color-obsessed and paint-addicted person!) Oh, I love your idea about using toothpicks in styrofoam as the holder for the ornaments! You are SUCH a clever lady!! Hey, I just took apart three pens of different sizes and shapes and tossed the empty ink cartridges. One of them is super skinny. Each of them has a different size opening (where the pen tip used to be). I haven't used them yet but I thought they might help direct my breath when blowing the paint in smaller areas. Have you used pens for blowing? How about oxygen tubing?

Hi Jenny remember me just as Janet from Colorado. Just got done watching this video on your heart ornaments. They are absolutely beautiful my question is what are you using for the white paint that you put on first I looked in the description and did not find that. Also not sure how you're making them stand up is that toothpicks in styrofoam sure is clever. And also I was curious to know how the backside of the heart looks. Thank you for any help you can give me. Hope you are safe and well with this crazy stuff going on. Janet
These are very beautiful. Thank you for the instructional video. Question: for the cell activator, could I use 3 teaspoons of US Flood Floetrol instead of the Austrilian Floetrol and achieve the same results? I'm in Canada and US Flood Floetrol is readily available in my area and I am on a budget. If not, then could I use the US Flood Floetrol and a couple drops of silicone to get similar results?
Hi! Thank you so much for doing this. I'm new and trying to learn still, but I want to try and make some ornaments. Could you have done what you just did, using black as the base color? Or that would not have worked?
Jenny, hello I went to Blick to look up the Atilier Titanium white and the Chroma A-2 Mars Black. I found Chroma Atelier Interactive Artists' Acrylics-Titanium White and Chroma A-2 Student Acrylics-Mars Black. The wording is a little different. Wanted to check with you to make sure I am getting the same thing you did. You know how important it is to get the exact stuff. Thank you Jen !!!
When you want to do that glitter, you want to turn it upside down and drain as much of the varnish out that will drip out then add your glitter. I use polycrylic for it. And it costs amazing and since you dumped the excess out it doesn't move.
What is win max pre-stain wood conditioner? do you have to use it when you want to use the black cells in all your different works or just with these Perspex Christmas decorations ? just came across your journeyJenny for the first time... in love your work and subscribe to you
I tried this technique today but I couldn't succeed . the only different thing I used is American floetrol and I used liqutex gloss and varnish.can you please comment on this
Thank you! I used Atilier Titanium White, and Chroma A-2 Mars Black. Both of those brands are on Dick Blick (and prolly other places too, but that is where I got them)
Great video. My favorite was the last one with that gorgeous dark red and deep green. Boy we're those colors so rich and saturated looking. What colors were used for that one. We're they included in the 12 Pak? Just gorgeous.
Thank you! 💜💚💙 That one turned out really pretty. The green is in the set (Green Tea), but the red is not (Hot Cinnamon). The buttery color is one I mixed myself with the Mango Freeze and Interference Gold.
Is the Minwax prestain conditioner oil or water based or does it make a difference? These are so gorgeous and I could watch this process all day long. I'm totally inspired and excited to try this. Thank you so much for sharing. ALso curious if you have used this technique to do any jewelry making?
Hi Rose - I use the oil based minwax prestain conditioner... I do think it prolly makes a difference! I have used it in my jewelry making. I have a few sets up on my etsy page - here is one of them - www.etsy.com/listing/743447476 I pour on canvas and then glue the glass directly to the canvas, cut it out, and glue it into the bezel.

I tried this technique today but I couldn't succeed . the only different thing I used is American floetrol and I used liqutex gloss and varnish.can you please comment on this
Very beautiful blooms. What brand of white and Mars black did you use for the acyivator?? Thank you for your videos.
Thank you! I used Atilier Titanium White, and Chroma A-2 Mars Black. Both of those brands are on Dick Blick (and prolly other places too, but that is where I got them)
these are great have you ever thought of putting the colors in a squeeze bottle type of thing, quicker application
Thank you! That is a good idea. I make such small quantities of paint at a time for this technique, but if I go larger I definitely will!
@@JennyPost you might be able to find them in small sizes and look at ali express or oriental trading company to order cheaply
