I've been woodcarving for over 45 years. I started woodcarving when I was in Police College.

Hi Lucas, how long and how wide is your piece of cottonwood bark. Where do you drawl the line of how wide and how long of a piece you will use?

Hi Ken! This piece was somewhere around 14” long and 3” wide. I will usually find something to carve in bark of all sizes. I have done little Christmas tree ornaments in small pieces, and some larger 3 foot+ pieces with 2 or 3 faces in them. Or maybe a big whimsical house.

I sure wish the Carvers videos would not be blurry! Very difficult to make out what they are doing, a lot of the carvers have this same issue, can you in the future have them to focus better PLEASE! Thank you in advance

Unfortunately, we are only as good as the internet connection that is available at the time since it is a live meeting. Please feel free to check out some of the other meetings.

I would rather listen to Lucas talk about this carving than hear the southern gentleman talk about woodpecker poop..
