Carving a Cozy Cabin in Cottonwood Bark

- Hand carved cottonwood bark woodcarving of a small cozy cabin located on a hillside of a large lake. The start of the carving was quite a surprise which I'll explain in the video. At the end I added a mini LED inside the cabin to illuminate the interior. I think it added a unique element to the carving. I'm hoping to do more of that in the future.

Incredible. That light is a nice touch. Well done.
Thank you!
Very nice excellent job
Thanks
Beautiful carving. My favorite medium to carve.
Thank you! Yeah it's definitely one of my favorites as well.
Amazing detail. Inspired me to start a new piece.
Thanks! What are you going to carve??
Have you worked with epoxy at all? I’ve seen some wicked looking wood+epoxy sculptures. You’ve got awesome carving skills that I think could make wood epoxy sculptures on a whole other level.
Thanks! No I have never worked with epoxy before. I've always been interested, but just haven't committed to trying it yet.
Well done, man👍!
Thanks!
Love your attention to detail, another great vid mate
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Just found your channel and have enjoyed it. Thanks. Love cottonwood bark for carving.
I appreciate that, thanks for watching!
Thanks! I really learned something today through your trial and error with the trees. I have a side project on the go for the church. Its a carving of Exodus 20, (Moses and the 10 Commandments). Ive been waiting to buy some new burr bits though and was contemplating how to carve eighther the olive tree or the native conifer to Mount Sinai. After watching this I know just how it needs to be done. Just slightly different from how you did it here. The branches aim upwards more for what I need. Thanks for posting again. It looks like your enjoying carving that cotton wood. I have an abundance of it around my parts, guess ill need to start keeping some off-cut slabs here and there. Beautiful job BTW!
Thanks! I’m glad the video helped. I’d love to see your church carving when it’s all done!
I love the sound of chisels against wood so much! I would like to know what you use at 3:55 please? Thanks for the video, Amazing, really! 😊
Thank you! it's a small Dremel sander wheel.

Good job. Love it.
Thank you!
That is epic, nicely done 👍👍👍, ive come across old fencing wire but no bullets yet.
Thanks! Yeah the bullet was a pretty crazy fine.
Nice stuff. I'm curious about the LED light you mentioned?
Thanks. I guess what do you want to know? I got them from a model light website evandesigns.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIiOKola64ggMVeiGHAx0pqgy5EAAYASAAEgJ2v_D_BwE
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCCyes, that's what I wanted to know, what they were and where to get them, thanks!
Muy biennn!!!
Que madera usa ????
Thanks! This carving is made out of cottonwood bark.
Where did you get your work table with the holes in it? I've been trying to find something like that since i live in an apartment
I built that carving table myself.
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC it's really sweet and I've been trying to find something like it
What files did you use? Not sure if thats the right term
Yeah they are just a small set of mini files I found on Amazon. They work great.
Omg not saying where cabin is WHO cares. People come to see carving.
The owners of the cabin care. They don't want where they live plastered all over the internet and I respect their wishes.
