This video just answered so many questions i had. Next weekend I'll take my daughter out on the hunt for cottonwood bark. Now i know what to look for and ware. I'm sure theres some here in the thumb of Michigan. Thanks.

We have a huge Cottonwood tree in my back yard in Tex. , but the bark isn't anything like what I need to carve. It's as thin as a piece of paper. Guess good to write to Canooks for decent bark huh? Oh, sorry about your friend, know that hurts to lose a good friend because unlike bark, they don't grow on trees.
