thoughts... Decoration Day is one of the great rock and roll story telling songs of all time (it's about a true story , btw... GTMF) Speed Trap Town is one of saddest songs I've ever loved... "sign my name and say my last goodbyes" breaks my heart all over again, having done just that, 2X. Cover me up as a love (lust) song is as good as anything I've ever heard. Seriously.

Some dude puked on us (lil bit of pukesplash on the ankles is um, yeah) in our crappy seats way in the back, and the venue management hooked us up with amazing seats in the 3rd row on the right side. Thanks Bros! (Not the puking guy, f that guy.) It's a shame they didn't include the opener Richard Thompson in this stream, he was something special.
OMG, this almost makes me want to seek out the biggest drunk at his next show, in the hopes of getting a wee bit of 'puke splash' on me, just enough to make the venue move me front and center! LMAO. Thanks for sharing this : )

Constructive criticism here, please don't kill me... The lights are wrong for a broadcast - way too dark. The mix was either too low for everything except the kick and snare or , more likely, too high for those two mics. Otherwise, a great performance. First stream I've seen in a while without AS and the dynamic is great.
I thought the sound was great. I wish he'd loosen up the set list and do more from his first 3 albums. Some great tracks on there that he rarely plays.
Great question. See above. I didn't go see him in Clearwater the other night. I was sad until I saw that he still cycles so many of the same songs in all his set lists. He needs Hood or Cooley to give him pointers on changing things up
There seems to be a nucleus to each tour, this one is of course "The Nashville Sound", even though only about a third of the show are songs from the latest album. As far as I remember, from this set here he did not play Decoration Day, Super 8, and two or three others when in Oslo in November (same tour, basically). There they played slightly different sets on their two concerts (two or three songs changed between the nights). He is not as "play it by ear/placard" as Springsteen, but on the other hand I think they build the sound and rythm of the show as few others; on tour they really are a rock'n'roll band. I think he could "wing" it a bit more, tell more stories on stage and improvise the set a bit more, but I read someplace that he is not really into requests and that kind of stuff (no reference here, sorry). Maybe he is just so focused on having a professional performance (as opposed to the final days in DBT)? But, like Springsteen, he could actually have played for four hours and you STILL would wait for that extra song. The best writer of his generation, by a few miles.
I say this with all due respect, the band rocks so much better without Amanda. She's a damned talented woman, just like these guys better without, so much more guitar.
