- Nine-time GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow is the first artist featured in the new Public Television series “The Art of Music” premiering this month. Presented by United MileagePlus® Cards from Chase and filmed in front of a live audience earlier this year at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Crow is interviewed by her friend and fellow GRAMMY Award-winning artist Jason Isbell.
As part of this unique series, Isbell led a conversation with Crow about her musical journey, sharing insights into their creative processes. The discussion intertwined some of Crow’s iconic songs which the duo performed together, delivering a singular musical experience.
It just makes sense and makes me happy to know they are good friends. Two of my favorite people I'd love to have for dinner and a jam.
If you get a chance too see Jason Isbell in concert, definitely do it. Probably the best the concert I’ve been to.
Jason might just be the best songwriter of his generation which makes his humbleness with the great Sheryl Crow so much more impactful. This is amazing.
This is the best musical conversraion I've seen lately
Art is the great hope. What a fantastic quote!
This was really magical and inspiring. Thanks Jason & Sheryl!!!
Wow, Sheryl & Jason playing together, talent & grace personified!🎶👏👏👏
Definitely graceful Jason 😊
This was absolutely INCREDIBLE
Thanks to both of you…Sheryl showing me more depth than I knew…well actually your speech at the R&R Hall began this conversation & now this…Jason, who I discovered during lockdown…you Sir…continue to impress me with your authentic self. This was just a lovely way to spend an hour of a day in a life. Thx 🙏 ❤
Love seeing them together. Such great people and outstanding musicians.
Her voice sounds as great as ever! This was awesome.
Wow! I certainly love full band performances and the excellence of all the musicians blending together, but that pales in many ways in the light of stripped down, acoustic settings where the honesty and intimacy of exchange captures the essence of the artist, the audience, and the art itself. Thanks, I'll revisit this conversation and go back over my notes many times. 🙏🎼🎸
Two humans making beautiful music - it doesn't get much better than that.
Two true artists and handmade music. What a joy!😃
Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing. Such an inspiration indeed!
I can tell isbell didn’t rehearse. He’s just that fucking good lol
Damn straight homie
💯
Redemption day is one of the best songs ever written in my opinion. What a great rendition.
Sheryl should do a duo album with Jason with both playing and singing on each others songs. One acoustic, one electric and two voices.
Two wonderful artists, fantastic.
Amazingly great performance -
Sheryl is a so good, but Jason Isbell is so incredibly good accompanying on guitar. Isbell is a beast in his own right as a songwriter, singer and guitarist….add interviewer. 🔥😎
He always looks like he enjoys being a sideman; he really digs into his playing.
Some great songwriters aren't great talkers, but I think they have to be great listeners, which is part of being a great interviewer. Jason is a great at all three.
Well, that was fantastic! Art + Music + Rock & Roll!!!
Evolution...great song! Sheryl is brilliant and kind. Beautiful voice, open and honest.
I would buy an EP with the music for this event. I love deconstructed tunes. These two crushed it.
Saw this on PBS. Was amazing
Two of my favs. Loved watching this.
1+1 = b e a u t i f u l
Grateful to witness this artistry and love.
unique and talented musicians, and excellent person, velvety voice that enchants you, She is the beloved Sheryl crow🌟
I so enjoyed this. These two have put out a lot of wonderful music that has enriched lives. Thank you.
What a great conversation and performance. Redemption Day, wow. Thank you Sheryl and Jason, amazing artists and humans.
This was Amazing! Thank you Sheryl and Jason!!
This was excellent ❤❤❤
how cool to analyze and hear what these folks made these songs , seems always the best are regular folks with regular intentions, family, kids, work, love, life, work, not to focus on any one part.
also make it sound like sticker fingers
Thank you Sheryl. This was great. 😊✌💖
Appreciate Sheryl’s fears about technology and A.I. but find comfort that nothing “artificial” can create anything like this. Talent always wins.
I like her stories about guitars & objects possessing the spirit of the ones that played them. This is true.
more of this, please!
Me encanta Sheryl, buen duo 💛
Just saw Jason and the 400 Unit last week (awesome of course) and my wife and I were talking afterwards how he was an original talent and both brought up Sheryl as a comp. And here they are - perfect.
Saw him at Fairwell last week!! Awesome
@@Divelexic same here - great show but too bad only an hour.

Not all heroes wear capes.
Love SHERYL CROW ❤
So glad to see them as a couple!
Ha
Are they dating
They'd make a good one. Do you know something we don't?
That’s not a thing
Duo mate…duo!
Jason could be the best sideman possible for Sheryl. Fantastic performance from both of them.
Genius collaboration
I needed this. Thanks.
Great stuff! Thank You...
Great job, or what do expect from these two. As to her line in "Winding Road"; it's a little like Leon's "Stranger in a Strange Land". Here are two giants showing why they are giants. Fantastic!!
Brings me back to my plan to write my „Song to Sheryl“
In a word: AMAZING. Loved this so much!!! Random note--2024 and "ass" gets bleeped. Hilarious.
Great
This was unbelievably beautiful in so many ways.
Love love this!
Super cool and super cool = super hot . Love them both .
Thank you for this!
Jason Isbell!!!!
Well, that was an hour well spent.
His slide playing on "Redemption Day" reminds me of Mick Taylor in his Rolling Stones days. Kind of like "Sister Morphine" very haunting and raw. That is what slide is supposed to be.
Just got there. My goodness that's a performance.
Interesting to see Isbell play "My Favorite Mistake" because I always felt like he borrowed from that guitar part pretty heavily on "Go It Alone"
Jason needs a podcast interviewing about the compositions.
47:13 is where Sheryl finds her ideal duet partner.
Dang. Got his teeth fixed
Grande e talentosa Sheryl
Wow!
Super hay !!!
one-hundred-percent starting to believe he made that fender so he go around the world and take absolutely nothing with him.
I does sound great.
I have one, and I do believe that I could make do with just that one guitar. So many great sounds in those 2 pickups!
hell ya. When was this recorded?
March 2024
Jason got his trailer teeth capped? Looks like the Cheshire Cat now.
Once you get your 27th Covid booster you get free veneers from Pfizer.
Wow. She looks half her age. I'm the same age as her and am feeling kinda worn out watching this 😄
She does? Is she actually 135 years old?
Truth is manipulated to suit the elites the only truth is found written in Gods word when Jesus said i am the truth and the way so stick with him because the rest is just noise. Great video love both these artists .
Actually somebody actually wrote that Jesus said that. The only proof is in the book they wrote. Just saying, live a good life and treat everything well.
sticky that is
Has jason got new teeth ?
What happened with Jasons’ teeth?
I noticed it immediately as well. Risky stuff for a singer
@@Mainecat21 He recently said that getting them fixed finally ended up being a good thing for his singing.
They were rotting and he was in pain. He got veneers.
Yeah, he said he found singing actually much easier after getting them fixed.
He speaks with a slush now.
She struggles singing these days.😮
His first question didn't receive an adequate answer at all. She doesn't sound very bright....
