Oven -made hard boiled eggs: I preheat the oven to 325 F then put eggs in a muffin pan in the oven for 30 mins. I then use a spoon to transfer them to an ice-water bath for 10 mins. Super easy to peel! If you put them in the fridge still in the shells, they are not so easy to peel later.
Massive waste of energy. Don't use the freshest eggs and they will peel easily. Stir while boiling to center yolks. Boil and you can have hard-boiled eggs in 5-7 minutes instead of wasting time and energy heating up the oven.
@@ShroudedinLovePlease have an understanding that people have different ways to do things. We don’t need to put down anyone who has different ideas. They are not “finding faults”. Absolutely!! I knew the avocado trick but feel kind of guilty doing at the store. Not buying fruits and vegetables that are almost worthless to start with is unbelievably valuable! Thank you!
You can avoid feeling guilty by trying this method. Shake the avocado and if you hear the seed rattling, then it's mature. You need only to wait a day or two to use it.
Thank you for the information, especially with the avocado. I didn’t realize that if you pull out the stem, it will tell you whether it was ripe or not. If the stem does not easily come out, don't force it. It's not ripe. But avocados ripen after they fall from the tree, so the unripe ones will ripen over time. Putting them in a bowl of flour or a dark drawer helps them ripen.

Peeling almonds using boiling water is very easy ❤ my mother and I made home made marzipan every Thanksgiving and Christmas for family and friends. About 50 years now for me😂
Glad your channel found me! I'm a new subscriber now. Idea on the avocado - I don't worry about how green / unripe they are. I just put mine in 2 paper bags - not double, but wrap in one then wrap in another - then put on a paper plate. It will ripen up in no time! More than one avocado needs to go in its own paper bag, not together. Then just squeeze the avocado a little through the bag to see when it's ready. If really green & hard, may take a day or two - otherwise just a few hours. Actually I prefer green avocados, so they will keep until I'm ready to use another one. Also, I don't fool with cutting in half & hoping it comes apart from the pit. I cut in quarters, then it peels easily & you can cut it away from the pit easily. Any left on the pit, just bite it off.
I put 4 green avocados in a brown paper bag with one apple. 3 days later avocados perfectly ripe. Store in refrigerator after ripening to prevent from becoming over ripe. Store in ref ridge up to five days after they are ripe. You can cut an avocado in half, just leave the seed in the half you want to use up to five days later.
After spending an entire day hand-peeling almonds for a special cake I made for my daughter-in-law, I certainly appreciate your tip on how to peel almonds - lol Wish I'd known this a year ago!!! You always have the BEST tips!!!! Thanks so much!

He likes to cook more than his wife, so she gives him free rein in the kitchen including using hints and tips to make things easier.
He had some charcoal in a bowl one afternoon, ~for what I don't know~ and he absentmindedly put the bowl in the fridge along with a bowl of raw onions he was going to use for a recipe. He went to get the onions to add to the recipe and realized there was no onion smell at all. He looked over and saw the charcoal and figured that's what kept the onion smell. He now always has a bowl in there.
Good tip. I was surprised when I saw your comment. I took a screen shot and sent it to him. He will say, "great minds think alike" 😁
