Hi Leo, I'm more interested in the Cooler Master NR200P Max. There are so few reviews of it - will you be getting one? It has a similar design but comes with an 850w SFX PSU, 280mm AIO and Gen 4 riser. Plus there is room for 2 thin/15mm fans in the floor.
Top Review Leo, I am very interested in having one, only one thing don't like is Tampered Glass looks very dark Tinted, Would be great if they included clear Acrylic panels with vented holes you just slot in the frame, Guess I could mod my own :)
This is the best presenter, passionnate and specialist i’ve ever seen. We had a bunch of boring so-called presenter who have no expertise about how to unmount boxes in live, while giving sincere points of view. I’ve discovered this channel with your Fractal Design R5 review. Greetings from Paris.
Nice to see a Mini ITX case able to fit a regular ATX power supply. I plan to transfer my build into a similarly sized case in the future but I'm not really looking forward to swapping all the components with their Mini ITX versions, especially the motherboard.
ATX power in Mini ITX is just a waste of space and causes unnecessary headaches. SFF units are plenty powerful enough for anything you can actually fit in an ITX chassis.
I have this case and can’t understand why lian li didn’t make space for 2 intake fans at bottom of case? Do you think it’s a good idea to attach a second intake fan on outside of oc at bottom. There’s easily enough room for a 15mm thick 120mm fan.
TBH the design is cool, but I would have prefer entirely just full mesh panels on both sides for the best cooling performance. Bottom of the case should have been fully ventilated too along with support for additional 2.5 inch drives in the front of the case like with the Cooler Master NR200.
Good review Leo, although I think you forgot to mention that you can mount another 2.5" SSD behind the power supply as well. Also, just so we're clear, am I right in thinking a 280mm rad will only fit if the fans are on top? Do you know whether there are likely to be compatability issues with different 280mm AIOs (I'm looking at going with EK) I think this is the case that will push me to go ITX. Space for 2x 2.5" drives with no compromise on fans, large AIO support, full length GPU support, additional mesh panels available as well. I might even see if I can squeeze some 40mm or 60mm noctua fans underneath the GPU to help actively exhaust hot air more effectively.
Revisiting this one. Thank you! I did not see a review of the Lian Li Dan A4-H20 ITX case. Its an inch smaller, width wise than this one and has better airflow.
@@estoyboy same man. Its so hard to decide. I heard good things about nr200max but that doesn't have USBC on top of case. Meshilicious is good but lian Li is like known for their cases plus has some cool features. But the issue is getting a good ITx mobo is so expensive
I wanted to put a 5600x, Rx 6700 xt and a fan cooler for the CPU in this case with 3 fans. But I'm guessing I should find a new case? I've never liked the idea of having a water cooler possibly dripping on the insides
I wonder if using a cpu/pump combo, like the Alphacool Eisbaer LT, with some cut to length hoses, would be a better option instead of the AIO with their fixed length hoses? That's what I would do if I were looking to build out in a SFF case like this. Love the review. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it. I wouldn't be the least bit unhappy if Q58 was shipped without support for ATX and with a suitable 240mm/280mm AIO with appropriately short hoses.
Can someone help understand how to connect the SATA power cable from the hot swap ssd tray to a PSU? Do I need to purchase a SATA female to 4 pin PSU cable?
if they added a bit more height and added space for 2 slim fans at the bottom for the gpu, this case would have been perfect. I just dont get putting glass on the top-gpu side (for the white ver. at least), what are you showcasing? the radiator sides?
Anyone else think Leo is super cool? I'm just gonna call out Leo ss being super cool. There. I said it. Thanks for the video everyone, answered all my questions.
Thanks for the review Leo, I think I would build this case with a 240/280mm AIO with a SFX PSU, with the mesh panel on the bottom and glass on top on the GPU side for GPU airflow, but on the CPU side, I would try with the glass panel on the bottom to get a nice view of the AIO pump lighting and RGB ram and the mesh panel on top to allow the AIO access to fresh air rather than simply exhausting all the GPU's heat. Lastly, I would run the bottom fan as an exhaust to help with GPU heat, similar to Ghost S1/Sliger SM5xx series.
Leo - this was a great video but...everything ok? I could hear Lian Li's engineers increase their breathing as you threw their case pieces around haha. Even I was a bit nervous as you ripped that top panel off :)
Are you still doing another video trying to fit a 280mm AIO? Very interested in this case but want to see fitment first, I read on lian li website should work but you have to install fans above radiator and move the psu down, was just wondering how much room that gives to route the tubing over the psu, and in this orientation can you still fit the 120mm fan under the psu? No ones done a video on this yet
Leo here: The Q58 is on the bench at this very moment with a Noctua air cooler installed. The next step is to have another go with an AIO so yes to the video however the results are currently unknown. Installing a fan under the PSU looks theoretically possible but in practice I have no clue how you keep the various cables clear of the fans blades.
The user guide is clear about the orientation of the radiator. The real question is whether the hoses can route down past the RAM and double back, which doesn't seem possible with the Cesius+
You can easy build a full watercooled system in this and the fact you can use a 280mm rad that's amazing. The most easy way to do this, is to use barrow cpu/pump combo. You could also use bitsky granzon radiator/pump combo (but you'll probably have to go with the 240mm because of the extra lengh). You could even watercool the nvme if you really want. I own the Silverstone LD03 and I have fully watercooled it and I mean watercooled it to the max, because my nvme is watercooled and also my ram. I have two 120mm rads, I am using the barrow cpu/pump combo and the system spec is i9 10900k with an 3090 (I have the active ekwb backplate on it aswell). I only have three fans in it and this summer I was not going over 75 (I don't have an AC, so if I did I would be golden). So just with two 120mm rad, 3 fans and everything watercooled, I get 75 in summer, that's pretty good. Right now it is not has hot as the middle of summer and I am already down to 70-69, this autumn and this winter I'll easy be at max 65 if not less.
If you want to go custom loop inside Q58 the only possibility would indeed be the Barrow block/pump/reservoir as it is compact and you don't need a separate reservoir however the space inside Q58 is very different to LD03. If anyone goes down this route, we want to see photos.
@@KitGuruTech If you're curious of my actual build I can send the pictures and if so, where do I send them? As for the Lian Li Q58 I can't do it at the moment because I don't have the funds for it, but in the near future, with the new 12th gen and DDR5, I might give it a go with this case and can send the pictures.
I was thinking of the one of the CPU blocks with the pump integrated as well, using one you could obviously make the pipes just the right length, so that would make managing them a bit easier in the case. Also custom length PSU cables would also be something to get with this case, would help a lot I would imagine.
@@harshlens Leo here: The LD03 wouldn't really fit in here as it is a review of the Q58. Now I think about it I'm not sure which approach works best to post photos on TH-cam - if anyone has a bright idea do please let us know. I'll have a word with Dominic and see whether he has a clever answer.
@@KitGuruTech I was just saying, even it tight spaces you can for the most times make it work. I can see that the Q58 can be nicely watercooled. Obviously with the barrow pump/cpu combo it makes it super doable because that's the addition of only a single tube to handls, but I'm sure even with some flat pump/res combos you can manage. Or like I mention, the bitski granzon rad/pump combo would make it similar to the barrow solution (only an extra tube to handle).
Can someone confirm that is big shuriken 3 able to fit in this case please?🙏🏻 It's 69mm, as compare to limit 67 mm. Hoping any modification can be done. Or if anyone can suggest great air cooler for this case
Leo here: Yes, no doubt about that however the question of using the screws in a specific way sounds a bit odd. I shall be interested to see how this goes when I take a closer look in a week or so.
Isn't thats a tower air cooler with vertical 120mm fan? You have max 67mm clearance to work with inside Q58 so the cooler must have a horizontal fan to have a chance of fitting.
@@KitGuruTech I am sorry, I meant the Scythe Shuriken 3, which sadly has a 69mm tower height, as stated by Scythe. Is there a difference between the clearance when using either the glass or the mesh panels? The fan it comes with is 17mm but noctua produces decent 15mm fans :)
@@RubenKemp Well in that case it ought to be possible with a 15mm file but it will be VERY close. They don't give different clearanced for the two side panels but it would be amazing if the mesh doesn't have an extra millimetre over glass

HERE IS THE REAL QUESTION WE ALL WANT TO KNOW.... Meshalicous or Q58 for the toasty Alder Lakes?! As a curveball to throw in too would be meshalicous + glass side panel!
Good review, but I disagree with the CPU/GPU discussion. It's more of a FPS discussion than a linear scale with GPU speed. If you're buying a 6900XT to play at 4k60 Ultra... A 5600X would work just fine. If you're trying to hit 165-240+ FPS, that's when you need the faster CPU. Just a minor point of correction. Good video - cheers!
Dude feels like he just woke up, and is in a hurry to go do shit elsewhere. I really dig the built in slot for the 2.5ssd, we need more chassis like that.
@@KitGuruTech Your team sittin there editing in real time with their gen4 ssds haha, well done my dude, you just made my choice between two chassis even harder haha
Hmmm, I'm not happy with the fact that even with a SFX, PSU a significant portion of the PSU's intake is blocked with the side cover's on. It's very arguable that a ATX, PSU shouldn't be an option at all.
Seems like a DAN A4 inspired/derivative case embiggened with some clever tricks and transformation options. At 14.5L based on the published dimensions, it is about 2x the volume of a DAN A4. The DAN A4 does not support GPUs that exceed 2 slots in width. Unfortunately, true 2-slot GPUs are becoming the exception rather than the norm this generation. 1) I prefer to use an air cooler on the CPU for creating airflow over the motherboard. I'd likely install a fan in the bottom for the same reason. 2) I like SFX PSUs. 3) Given 1 and 2, the case seems overtall for me (there would be a fair bit of wasted space at the top), but that is a bit of space that could be used for stashing cables or adding extra fan(s). 4) I, too, would want all mesh panels. It seems a good effort from Lian-Li and the price seems fair for the engineering that has gone into the fan header and drive caddy. I suspect that it will go over reasonably well in the ITX community. I'd consider buying one. Thanks for the review, Leo.
Leo here: Feel free to add the words 'in practice'. The space is restricted and the shape of the space is hard to work with, and in particular mounting a reservoir would be hard. Yes Barrow does a combo block and yes, if very carefully choose your hardware so you have a tiny GPU (a la GGF) then anythign is possible. In practive there are many better options out there.
Great case but looks like terrible value next to the recently launched NR200P Max. THat one comes with an 850w SFX Gold PSU and a really good 280mm AIO with short tubing. All the wires are prerouted too.
My takeaway? Not particularly well designed from the perspective of installation; it is too biased to form over function. PSU cables are a thing; AIO heatsink hoses are a thing; they have been for 10-15 years. What I want is thinking INSIDE the box. 6/10

@@KitGuruTech I made a type error LEO, Scythe Big Shuriken 3 is 69mm tall with fan, I think can just fit in there, The prototype of this case states 70mm max
Also I noticed the white version of this case as clear glass panels no tint. got white on Pre-Order with PC-E Riser 4.0 £136.99.
@@maxabillon Did the Scythe Big Shuriken 3 fit well in the case? What air cooler are you using?
does it fit?
no airraid today,lol
I can see a custom loop working rather well in there
HERE IS THE REAL QUESTION WE ALL WANT TO KNOW....
It's amazing but true that if you work at it, an 18 minute video can be completed in less than 40 minutes, including the editing and uploading.
@@KitGuruTech Your team sittin there editing in real time with their gen4 ssds haha, well done my dude, you just made my choice between two chassis even harder haha
Too limited to understand with no arguments for sure.
Amazing job !
13:29 - I'll give Optimum Tech a month to build a custom loop with RTX 3080 and 5950X in this thing.
youtuber "GGF events" built a wonderful looking system full custom loop in the white Q58 with a 3080 but with a 16000K.
@@shanksisnoteventhatstrongbruh thanks. But I did it in just over a day :P
They're working on a case with DAN Case as well with 3 slot gpu support it looks sick honestly.
Not my kind of case, but it's interesting to see. Thumbs up.
You should've used the biggest GPU like Asus strix or MSI gaming x trio
he can't cause big gpu like rog strix can't fit in this case...
@@andrewdinh5428 Yup. I saw it from other youtube review. This video didn't help me at all.
If they make it all mesh im all in.
Why did you come to the conclusion that a custom loop is a non starter?
Leo here: Feel free to add the words 'in practice'. The space is restricted and the shape of the space is hard to work with, and in particular mounting a reservoir would be hard. Yes Barrow does a combo block and yes, if very carefully choose your hardware so you have a tiny GPU (a la GGF) then anythign is possible. In practive there are many better options out there.
@@KitGuruTech there have been doing custom loops in node 202 which is half the volume of this. The q58 is a joke compared to that
Great case but looks like terrible value next to the recently launched NR200P Max. THat one comes with an 850w SFX Gold PSU and a really good 280mm AIO with short tubing. All the wires are prerouted too.
Looks an interesting option for sure, seems to be launching early October?
@@rossdev Already launched in the US.
Yesh, we want mesh
My takeaway? Not particularly well designed from the perspective of
installation; it is too biased to form over function. PSU cables are a
thing; AIO heatsink hoses are a thing; they have been for 10-15 years.
What I want is thinking INSIDE the box. 6/10
Why so rough
Leo is so harsh, no wonder he broke top lid easily
SO NICE BUT THAT WINDOW IS STUPID
theres so many shameless ads in this video oml
so it would be $180 in canada lol 10 10 10 10 LOL
This guy really should consider getting a presenter involved.
KitGuru is always on the lookout for new talent. Please feel free to send us examples of your work.
@@KitGuruTech That is just a polite way of of saying "if you think you can do better like to see you try." Yet equally as childish.
I never said I could, I wouldn't know where to start but I watch a lot of videos.
Your videos are very informative and well produced but think presentation isn't what comes naturally to you.
You look uncomfortable, bit like a magician after his first two tricks didn't work out.
Do better. You cannot. You won’t.
So much spam to start the video...
Meh case with bad pricing
An ugly PC case with stupid feet. Nah.
