    I have it from 2 weeks now and it's the best case I've ever own. Very good size, temperatures and performance. It's also very flexible with how you can build it. I've got mini-itx motherboard, ATX power supply, RTX 4060 dual, 120mm AIO water cooling and 3 additional 120mm fans. Even have more room for at least 2 SATA SSD's but instead I use 2 NVMe's.

    Try it with all 4 as mesh panels once they come available. This may help. Another custom idea is to mount a slim 120mm fan or 2 as an exhaust out of the upper mesh above the GPU. Maybe cut in a wider custom metal mesh for the fans only.. Just a thought.

    I have completed a hardline custom loop in the PCIeV4 white version of this case - extremely tight and I had to mod the case to get the EK FLT80-D5 pump/res in (cut circular hole behind PSU to let pump extend back from other side). It was a lot easier once I decided to make my own cables to fit exactly where they are needed. Both glass panels on the GPU side to show off the GPU block, pump and pipes, both mesh panels on the MB/PSU side for the PSU to breathe, just as is mentioned in this vid. With only a 240 rad cooling both CPU and GPU I went for a 5600X and a 3060Ti to keep thermal load down and have under-volted both to assist with that. I originally built it with a DDC pump/res from BarrowCH, but that died so I got the drill out and fitted the EK unit. I used 16mm Acrylic tubes from Alphacool with their white fittings except the elbows - those are Bitspower shiny-chrome, low-profile elbows that keep the 16mm fittings clear of the glass and are a nice focus point. I have the build in pcpartpicker and will edit this with the link later.

    I'm really excited about some of the better design features in this case. However, I have to say that in terms of the critiques you offer, I pretty much agree 100%. Maybe it will take years before we have a fully featured value alternative to the NR200. But if someone was able to take the pricing and value of the NR200 and add in some of the better features from the Q58, we would have a game changer.

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed, I think at least in terms of the layout, it is what it is, some tweaks would help but an NR200 or performance oriented competitor would have to come in the form of a traditional layout. In fact Lian Li does have a template to work off of, the TU150, and if they tweak that, we could be seeing some interesting competition. Sure the Q58 is quite a bit smaller in volume but at the same time, if it had that extra volume it would still have ground to make up in the performance department.

    Thank's for this great and in depth review, intersting to see that the t30s fits well on this case, i wonder if it would be better with the nh a12 though. Indeed thermals are better on the cm nr200p but it's kinda predictable as this one is a smaller case. Personally I would consider it a great choice for an sff build if lian tweeks it for a better thermal performance.

    Wow, I'm shocked the T30's fit in here. I have the Arctic Bionix P120's in my Q58 setup and they're pretty close as it is, but I might have to look into T30's when they're a little more accessible. The Bionix fans on the Phanteks 240MP are doing a great job cooling my 5900X so far, though, so T30's are more of a dream, I suppose.

    • @MachinesMore

      Yeah, I noticed the T30s are difficult to get right now. The thickness should be fine, the MP240 has a very similar rad thickness to the ML240 Illusion so assuming your riser isn’t pushed out a lot it should clear. What I’m a little curious about is if a regular 25mm fan will give better airflow in this case, for that I’m going to wait until the Chromax A12x25s arrive.

    • @MachinesMore
      @MachinesMore  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I want to say maybe, but I’d be a bit hesitant just because in my experience the PSU fan is going to kick on with your 3060ti power draw in a gaming scenario, and if it can’t draw air it’s just going to ramp up heavy. Granted, that level of power isn’t too bad but I have a feeling that the PSU will heat up and want to ramp fans to max (it’ll be super loud). But… try it and see what happens, it might be fine, at worst you have to swap the panels to vent the PSU. I wish it were just offset 1cm though, that would have made that orientation totally workable.

      There’s a few restrictions on how long the rad can be, 325 is the absolute max but that requires removal of the hot swap SSD tray. For less restrictions you’ll want something less than 315mm. Something like the EK 280 and NZXT X63 (both less than or equal to 315mm) will be a better fit than the 320mm H115i I test fitted with, but any of these will require the fan to be above the rad.

      Lian Li makes cool looking cases, but cooling performance potential and functionality wise leaves a bit to be desired. Hopefully the Silverstone SG16 gives NR200 some competition.

      @@CknSalad That, and I am not a huge fan of the white version of the case. For the price premium over the black anodized version, I would have preferred an electrophoretic deposition finish rather than powder coating. Every thing else I don't like about the case he already highlighted in the video haha. I bought it originally because it was on a decent sale right now in Canada, but I can't see myself keeping it with the issues and the cooling performance it has..

      I’m glad that was helpful to you. The case has its feature set that will be appealing to some, but a lot of folks like you might want better performance. Sounds like you made a confident choice. Thanks for checking in.

      @@MachinesMore I already bought two cases because of your videos so I'm glad to see it change for once.
