Lian Li has been killing it lately. I love how modular and adjustable their designs continue to move towards .I even had a Lancool II that I accidentally destroyed the glass panel recently, but because of the design I was pretty easily able to disassemble and convert into a surprisingly capable and versatile open test bench.
I've been looking into doing my first ITX build lately and up until now I'd narrowed my case selection down to the Inwin A1 Plus. But depending on when other areas of the parts market stabilize and when Lian Li releases this model to the public, I might just have to end up using the Q58.
Thank you Hardware Canucks for another outstanding breakdown and review!

In fact, it's probably beneficial to GPU thermals since a negative pressure setup would be forced to draw in all of the air directly in front of the GPU, not above it as well.

Great video, thanks for the content! The partial TG at the top had me excited, until you said the mobo is upside-down. Total head-scratcher, there! I like the idea of some mesh to improve airflow, the layout is good (allowing for a Top Rad, unlike the NR200), and there's a ton to like about this case! But it feels like the team designing the exterior panels maybe weren't talking to the folks engineering the internal layout. The two-tone look is nice, but if they're going with this layout (and thick black borders where the glass is adhered to the frame, as you can see @00:40 ) then it feels like the TG should take up 66% to 75% of the side (instead of just 50%). The point of TG is to show off your components, not your cables. It needs to be sized and placed on the case to achieve this; otherwise its just wasted cooling potential. Here's hoping they refine the design before summer - after 20 years of building PCs I'll be diving into my first SFF build this summer. The more case options, the better!

This setup could actually result in better GPU thermals than a full mesh panel. Think about it, a negative pressure setup would be forced to draw in all of the air directly in front of the GPU, not above it as well. CPU thermals might suffer a bit, especially when the GPU is under load (although let's face it, a 280mm rad is more than capable).
It's actually quite a smart design imo, based on the more focused airflow design I'd expect it to beat similar cases like the formd T1 in terms of GPU temps. The fact that you can mount a bottom fan is pretty cool too, the double sided exhaust method worked amazingly well on the sliger SM580, and it should work just as well here.

Is the riser Gen3 or Gen4? If you use low profile fans for the 280 AIO, do you think you could still fit an ATX PSU? How does this compare in size the to TU150? I see ITX cases being described in Liters, but that isn't often present on manufacturer or sales websites. It would be nice to have that kind of information standardized so I can better visualize the size differences without needing to find someone who happens to place various cases side-by-side.

The CPU side panel if can swap from TG on the upper half to mesh it would be great. The reason being is the CPU is cooled by AIO which is mounted on the top, PSU can mount fan below to feed enough air for it. slight RGB leak from the mesh on the top looks nice too. GPU side top panel is TG, some GPU is not that tall, hence if they allow the mount of a small screen is not bad too. cheers, just my opinion.

At first it made me really think of the FormD T1 (sadly no size comparison with it :( ), but the internals, especially the hotswap SSD and rotatable fan hub are really nice touches! I hope that some other manufacurers are gonna start making more SFF cases as well (hopefully while bringing something new to the table too)!

I cant think of another itx case offering so many options at this price point. This looks brilliant. I really hope they add an option for a gen 4 riser, even if we have to pay more for it.

I agree with you about the view opportunities with regards to the position of the glass. Having said that, I usually avoid glass like the plague, even in midtowers, where are the opportunities of travel are significantly lower, and therefore unlikely to break it. But this design is the first one I've seen, with glass anywhere, that actually appeals to me. It would require thinking about how to build in it. I much prefer the idea of good airflow, and aesthetically, I find this two tone, mesh/glass, to be very pleasing and interesting. I might consider this for my next build, tho, I am really pulled to the nr200 still. I particularly like what you showed about the mechanics and build quality, and that is as important to me as aesthetics. (Airflow, price, mechanics and looks, in that order of importance)

this looks fantastic! the ATX PSU support, fan hub, airflow design, general versatility and great price are really unique. not quite ultra compact at 15L, but in turn it has huge compatibility for tons of fans, rads PSUs and even full size mass storage SSDs. matches perfectly with the external WD mybook HDD i have sitting here too.

These small cases are so nice, I can't wait to build in a small case one day, imagine they're fiddly to build in but they're so nice. I have a Lian Li LANCOOL II Mesh RGB coming tomorrow to replace my NZXT H510i. I ran 1440p 144hz on my brother's monitor. While playing COD it heated up quite a lot, GPU was about 80 and was loud so I thought I'd change to something with more airflow.
Can anyone tell me if my decision was correct or not? I have a 240mm AIO which is on the front of my NZXT case right now but I imagine with more airflow I should get a lot better temps all round and quieter?

You can have everything "Full Power" in the ITX space. They make SFX-L up to 1000W. I'm running top tier hardware in my NR200 with 280mm radiator and a clean install.

they should make the panels swappable. Where you can put the TG at the bottom and mesh on top, or have a version with both mesh or both TG. TG bottom would make for a nice showcase for watercooled GPU.
