    Im glad you still gave it an 8, since a lot of the cons you gave are just part of all small form factor cases (smaller motherboard, PSU, thinner fans) cases, but Im also glad you included them as I find your reviews are very beginner friendly, and a lot of new people to building computers wouldn't understand that smaller cases need very particular parts.

    This thing is huge for an ITX case. I don’t really get why they didn’t just make it a little bigger and allow it to run a m-atx board.

      @@svn5994 They all hit that GPU size wall pretty hard. The 2000D can fit pretty much everything 4080 and under, many 4090s, though I believe IIRC a couple of the super-fat 7900XTXs won't fit. But other than that you can put what you want in the case, which is a significant step up from the other vertical cases which either have to use the very low-power and smaller cards like the 60/70 series or get the one specific model of higher end card that will fit (which tends to cost more $$$ than just getting this case and a more regular card).
      Other vertical cases get stuck on one specific card fitting, or they let you have GPU size but then you have to go wimpy on the CPU because you can't fit a good cooler in there anymore.

    You missed two important advantages of this case over most other (all other?) SFF cases: Huge air coolers can be installed for true silence (no high pitched whiney pump noise of the AIO, no water noise). And: the GPU is directly connected to the motherboard and does not need an adapter cable which can cause all kinds of trouble.

      Small Form mean to be SMALL so they are not designed for housing thick gpus at all. nice review, I wonder however why the legs are up from the radiator. With the cpu below there is a fair chance of pump gargle, less performance and reduced pump lifespan, or is there no space to place it with the legs down?

    • @ParagonFury
      @ParagonFury 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pump noises and issues are the result of positioning, not orientation as such. When using an AIO you want the Pump - where ever it is built in - to NOT be the highest point in the loop; as long as you do this most AIOs will be completely fine.
      In this video the Pump is in the CPU block (that is where Corsair puts their AIO pumps), so having the tubes up and the top of the Rad higher than the CPU block is a good thing.

    • @mebeingme947
      @mebeingme947 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ParagonFury Since most pumps I've seen are of the centrifugal type, the most important is to have a fully filled inlet leg to ensure no cavitation will occure. Also AIO's are not 100% filled. Even though the offical defination of cavitation referes only to vapor pressure, the eventually excess air off factory causes the same issue. The situation differs when you use a membrane pump (like an aquarium pump). In this case with legs up there is a fair chance of pulling air into the system as gasses will collect at the highest point. By turning it over the static pressure avoids that possibility.So for me orientation matters, but we don't need to agree on that 🙂, just explaining where i'm coming from. See also this one from Steve th-cam.com/video/BbGomv195sk/w-d-xo.html who explains more situations.

    That is so interesting, the 2000D from Origin has the mobo flipped being above the psu and is on the opposite side (right instead of left). That means the cables going into the mobo come out the top making it much easier to plug things in, plus you get an extra 120mm fan on top. I wonder why they flipped things around for the normal Corsair version, the pump on the Origin version is still below the top point of the rad as well. Being honest, I like the Origin version more since it isn't asymmetrical like you can see at 18:43 and the cables are much easier to get to once the pc is all put together since you just have to remove the top bit and have full access. I would guess it would also have slightly better thermals since it has that top exhaust fan.

So radiator support is iffy. Also vertical GPU support is non existent, as its way too close to the glass... Wish they gave it 1 more inch of width. I'd like an ITX system but I also want more than 2 M.2 drive slots and that simply wont happen. I have 4 slots in my current B550 Unify board. This 2000D is a fiddly case.

      I have the same case, there is no support for 360 top mount on 4000D Airflow, I use 360 but in front.

    Engaging, entertaining, and educational; it can only be Leo; more of these interesting and unusual cases, please!
    I'll be very interested to see an extended test of this case: unlike the Silverstone FT series cases I have previously used, the GPU faceplate is downwards, so I wonder how that will affect long-term GPU cooling?
    I didn't see any cables coming out of the bottom when the completed system was on your bench. How does the case fare when you load the rear / bottom panel? Say 3 or 4 video cables, speaker cables, and a number of USB cables. How much room is there for video cables with larger plugs (optical cables have transceivers)?
    BTW if you want to mount more than one 2.5" drive, try using sticky pads to stack them!
    PS As it's a vertical case, how about a fully passive build? :)

    Great video - thank you for the insights! Owning an NZXT H1 I was saddened to see the following : The orientation of the mainboard and the resulting location of it’s IO panel is more than a bit annoying. I had to work with an otherwise unnecessary USB hub making my overall rather small setup - a lot of work and unpleasant to maintain and not something I will continue using - sadly.

  • @jnx4803
    @jnx4803 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's mildly annoying, that just a few design changes could make this case an ultimate PC tower case.
    Reverse internal design to plug everything from top, make 360 AIO mount on the opposite side of GPU instead on top of it, add 2-3 cm to support 4 slot GPUs, add 2 cm to fit standard 120 fans instead of slims, change PSU position to improve overall airflow, redesign mesh to not choke some components as some tests shown to happen, and maybe few minor changes to cable management.
    Sometimes I think that they are intentionally designing gimped designs to just keep having an excuse to make a new case instead of making one excellent product... or they just suck at design.

    I just ordered this case .... Gonna do an insane custom loop! As for the the temp increase with the additional fans I would assume with all 6 fans being intake & being at a 90 degree angle from each other I believe it's creating a vortex inside the case trapping the heat. I believe if you can manage to install an additional fan at the top for exhausting the heat temps would drop drastically.

    • @UkzEnglishBullTerrierz

    Nice one Leo as always, I like & don't like the case, Good to see no riser cable needed that saves money, I don't like all the cables & the 360 on the side,
    I can Just Imagine how the cables be if you go for the 3 fan ARGB with lighting node core Option, that be 6x fan cables & 2 x cables coming from the node core.
    & 3 x fans x 6 cables coming from a 360 corsair Rad & other cables
    It be a 'Worzel Cable Gummidge'
    I like to see a TG Clear Side panel to show off the Hardware & have a silent AIO like a Arctic liquid freezer 240mm that perform as good as most of the 360s.
    But they seem to have designed with H55, H60, H75, H80i, H90, H100i, H105, H110i, H115i, H150i in mind. so thick rad like the Arctic 240mm may not fit.

    I just did a build in this case, there are no airflow issues at all but you have to know how to build a mini itx to begin with. If this is your first one, you need to study first else the wiring will screw your airflow up but that is not the fault of this case. As it stands without being able to show you my benchmarks casuse YT comments suck, under ultra settings gaming load on Red Dead 2, my CPU never touches 50C (Ryzen 7 7800x3d). GPU is an RTX 4080 and again no heat issues at all. If I could change one thing about this case it is the receiver deck. You have to route the wires in to the case through an open hole at the bottom of the case. That is just a lazy design.

    If you can fit a 360mm rad then why not an atx psu and an m-atx mobo. It'd save us consumers a lot of money and most of would be happy to consider buying such a case. That sfx psu is a big drawback.

    Was hoping to see how restrictive the mesh panels are (temps with them removed). I suppose the reason to only leave room for slim fans in the front is to market their new fans... Deshrouding the GPU and installing some 120 mm fans on the back could be nice.
