*The gods of the Warhammer World:*
The humans of the Old World (essentially, the stuff comparable to medieval Europe) worship a close pantheon of gods, with different ones having more or less importance in different nations.
This pantheon includes Ulric (god of war, winter, and wolves), Taal (god of beasts and the wild), and Rhya (goddess of nature and life, wife to Taal), Manann (god of oceans and storms), Morr (god of death and dreams), Shallya (goddess of mercy and healing), Verena (goddess of learning, law, and wisdom), Ranald (god of trickery and deception), and Myrmidia (goddess of warfare and strategy).
There are also more regional gods. In the Kingdom of Bretonnia (essentially medieval France with an Arthurian style), the Lady of the Lake is the patron goddess of their land and culture, worshipped by the knights and lords of their nation. In The Empire (basically the Holy Roman Empire circa the 15th century), Sigmar is their patron god: Sigmar Heldenhammer was the first Emperor, who united the disparate tribes under his rule and, in alliance with the Dwarfs, drove the Orks out from their lands. Fifty years later, he abdicated the throne, and is believed to have ascended to godhood.
The Dwarfs don't go in for any of that. They worship their ancestors, with a selection of Ancestor Gods at the top: Grungni, the first and oldest, god of the forge, Valaya, god of hearth and home, Grimnir, god of war and vengeance, and many others.
The Elves have a large and complex pair of pantheons - the Cadai (heavenly gods) and Cytherai (underworld gods) - which are worshipped differently by each nation of Elves. The main ones are Asuryan (King of the Gods), Isha (Goddess of Life), Khaine (God of War and Murder), and Kurnous (God of the Hunt), but there are a couple of dozen beyond them. The Wood Elves tend to worship Isha and Kurnous above all, while the High Elves worship Asuryan first, and the Dark Elves devote themselves to Khaine.
And, of course, beyond them all... are the gods of Chaos: Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Slaanesh. These are the same as in 40k (though they were in Warhammer Fantasy first - their existence in 40k is one of the first times the 40k setting was retconned).
    *Nations of the Old World:*
The first Total War Warhammer game is set primarily in The Old World. The Old World is a collection of human nations, united by a number of shared elements of culture and religion, and a number of loosely-aligned non-human cultures as well. They don’t always see eye-to-eye, but they have more in common with one another than they do with even other human nations further afield.
    *The Empire*
The largest of the human nations of the Old World, the Empire is a collective of baronies, principalities, counties, leagues, and city-states united under the rule of an Emperor elected from amongst the rulers of these provinces. Its history stretches back two and a half thousand years, and it was founded by Sigmar Heldenhammer, a warrior-king of the era who united many of the tribes of humanity and allied with the Dwarfs of the mountains to drive the Orcs and Goblins from the land. In doing so, he became the first Emperor. Legend says that he departed the mortal world at the end of a fifty-year reign, and joined the ranks of the gods themselves, and to this day, worship of Sigmar is a significant part of the lives of people in the Empire, and the Cult of Sigmar has considerable political influence.
The current Emperor, Karl-Franz I, Crown Prince of the Reikland, was elected and crowned Emperor ten years ago. In that short time, he’s proven a cunning statesman and the Empire has prospered under his rule.
    *Bretonnia*
The Empire’s neighbour to the west, Bretonnia is a deeply traditionalist nation, regarded by some as ‘backwards’. A feudal monarchy, Bretonnia is a land famous for its noble knights and infamous for the squalor its common folk must endure. Bretonnia is a verdant land but lacks many of the technological advantages of the Empire. Within Bretonnia's borders lies the forest of Athel Loren, home to the Wood Elves, who brook no trespass into their domain.
    *Kislev*
To the Empire’s north lies Kislev, ruled over by a succession of Tsars and Tsarinas. A frozen and harsh land has produced a hardy and stoic people, whose proximity to the great Chaos Wastes of the far north makes them a bulwark between the civilisation of the Old World and the brutal marauders of the north. (Kislev are prominently depicted in Total War: Warhammer III)
    *Tilea*
To the Empire’s south, the city-states of Tilea are a place of intense political machinations, deep philosophy, unmatched inventiveness, and the potential for untold riches for anyone who can navigate this precarious society. Long ago, the southern Old World was ruled by the Reman Empire, centred around the Tilean city of Remas.
    *Estalia*
To the south-west of the Empire lays the Estalian Kingdoms, a collection of small kingdoms and city-states. Estalian trade caravans are common across the Old World, and both Tilea and Estalia fund expeditions by explorers across the vast oceans to explore distant Lustria, the Southlands, and places further afield in search of riches and glory. Most in the Empire know of Estalia from tales of the Crusades, a time when warriors from the Empire, Bretonnia, and Tilea marched to help repel an invasion of Estalia from Araby, far to the south.
    *The Dwarf Kingdoms*
The Dwarfs dwell in fortified mountain strongholds in the mountain ranges that border the nations of the Old World. These are fiercely independent, though they have allied with other nations at times (including, most famously, The Empire). They are a deeply prideful people, slow to trust and quick to anger, and they hold grudges which last for generations. Greatest amongst these is their grudge against the Greenskins - the Orc and Goblin tribes which have assailed the Dwarfholds for millennia, leading to the fall of several ancient holds, such as Karak Eight-Peaks. They also have deep grudges against the Skaven (a species of malevolent ratmen seen in Warhammer Total War II), and against the Elves (who were once allies against the Dwarfs, but the Dwarfs were tricked into thinking the Elves betrayed them, leading to a lengthy war and endless resentment between the two).
    *Norsca*
A desolate, frozen realm between Kislev and the Chaos Wastes, the Norscans are savage barbarian raiders who sail south to plunder the lands of the more prosperous nations to their south. The Norscans worship the Dark Gods of Chaos.

Alright. So, Beastmen, Warriors of Chaos, and Norsca.
Ostensibly, these are all Chaos factions. The Warriors of Chaos are, as the name suggests, the predominantly human devotees of the Chaos Gods. However, there are some non-human Chaos Warriors. That thing you assumed was a minotaur during the Warriors of Chaos trailer? That's one of the Dragon-Ogres; an ancient race of centaur-like monsters that made a pact with the Chaos Gods way back in the mists of time for immortality in exchange for servitude. They're the first creatures in Warhammer Fantasy to willingly sell their souls and devote themselves to Chaos, making them true OG Champions of Chaos.
The Beastmen are, for lack of a better term, mutants. When the tides of Chaos first flooded the world, the raw uncontrolled magical energies of the world began mutating early humans and animals, creating a race of predominantly goat and cow people. All Beastmen worship Chaos, and they are Chaos worshippers to a fault, believing that civilization and technology is anathema to the natural order of things, which is all about anarchy and natural strength. They hate humanity and everything it stands for, because the Beastmen used to be higher on the food chain before the tribes of humanity organized under Sigmar and began fighting back and driving the Beastmen back into the untamed wilderness. They do not exist to protect the wilds; they seek solely to tear down everything humanity has built and reduce them to prey and potential breeding stock.
Norsca is, on paper, Chaos Lite. The Norscans are those peoples who live up North at the border of the Northern Chaos Wastes. These people do what they can to survive in the north, but their proximity to Chaos has invariably lead it to influence and infiltrate their culture and society, oftem worshipping Chaos as part of their pantheon of gods. That does not make them weak, because these are people who treat Chaos as a simple and accepted part of life, and even venerate them as a positive force.

Small note the dragon-ogres did not sell the souls like the other races. They sold service to destroy the world as part of the deal and we do not know what they got. If you Would like to know more about them go check loremaster sotek had podcasts about it

    • @Brutalyte616
      @Brutalyte616 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

@@sharklegioncain4044 Not in the sense that they literally gave up their souls, but every single dragon-ogre is bound to the service of Chaos by the deal they struck, and their entire race has been altered because of the pact. And immortality WAS part of the deal, at least in part; Tzeentch specifically promised them that they would not change or degenerate, and so the dragon-ogres could no longer die of old age and instead simply grow larger and stronger over the millennia, and all of the dragon-ogres present in the Warhammer Fantasy world are the original dragon-ogres who were alive when the deal was struck, as a side-effect of their newfound immortality is that all dragon-ogres have been rendered sterile.
Age of Sigmar happens to shed a bit more light on this, as the dragon-ogres survived the End Times and helped bring about the end of the world as per their agreement with the Chaos Gods, honoring their side of the bargain and being freed from the service of Chaos. They have since regained the ability to reproduce and became one of the first races to settle the Age of Sigmar world, to the point where they established a civilization on the world even before Sigmar himself showed up, with Sigmar actually evicting them from their new home. And while the dragon-ogres don't serve Chaos anymore and actively reject it now, they've come to fill a similar niche to the Beastmen, who have also returned to Age of Sigmar and also lost their innate racial ties to Chaos, but whereas the Beastmen are still about the law of nature and the strong preying upon the weak, the dragon-ogres have come to fill the role of the race that specifically hates humanity and Sigmar for overthrowing their rightful rule of, if not the entire world, then at least the lands they settled before Sigmar's arrival, and they want to eradicate or subjugate humanity in order to reclaim their place in the world.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, especially because I've not really done a deep-dive into the lore. Weren't the Fimir one of, if not, the first races to pledge themselves to the dark gods before they eventually got discarded for the "newer, shinier toys".

    • @Brutalyte616
      @Brutalyte616 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@somedudethatwatches7834 Yes, but the Dragon-Ogres are incredibly ancient, only being surpassed by the dragons, and their bargain goes back almost as far as the world itself. And the Fimir, to my recollection at least, were a more recent and failed attempt to deliberately turn an entire race into high-functioning Chaos worshippers, unlike the Beastmen, who were created by accident and have no real civilization, only a brutal tribal culture.

    • @Brutalyte616
      @Brutalyte616 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@somedudethatwatches7834 ...I stand corrected. Apparently the Fimir were written before the Dragon-Ogres and are one of the few races to pre-date the arrival of the Old Ones, although it's implied that lorewise that the Dragons are the oldest race of sentient creatures on the Warhammer Fantasy world, followed by the Dragon-Ogres and Sky Titans, the precursors to the modern Giants, and the Merfolk.
I keep thinking that the Fimir are a more recent thing because they really don't show up until the War of the Beards, several thousand years after the Old Ones showed up and their Lizardmen began the wars of extermination that decimated the ancient Fimir civilization. And given the Fimir are bog dwellers, and were already living in swamps before the Old Ones moved the planet closer to the sun, my guess is that the Dragon-Ogres, Sky Titans and Merfolk are much older, although by how much. But it is noted that the Fimir were Chaos worshippers before the Old Ones arrived, so that means the Dragon-Ogres probably made their pact with the Chaos Gods already and the Fimir converted either around the same time as the Dragon-Ogres or some time later.

You asked how much does the DLC cost. Unlike how Paradox Interactive handles it, the DLC is really all about if you actually want to play them or not. If you don't, no worries, the faction will still be in the game as an ally or enemy - it depends on how you. This is also dependent on which faction you intend to play as. Some of the factions like all the lords of Bretonnia are straight-up free.

      To make a few corrections:
Dwarfs can actually use the Winds of Magic, they just can't channel them through themselves like everybody else and neither would the want to. Rune Magic is thus extremely ritualistic and not only requires magical ingredients but also often takes a very long time f.e. a Master Rune of Gromril takes months to make and it needs to be constantly hit with hammers in a rhythm during all that time. A single wrong strike can diffuse the rune and ruin everything. In exchange, Rune Magic is very stable and even "simple" runes can often work for ages before running out of power.
Ghal Maraz is also blessed by Ulric and Smednir (one being a god of the Empire and patron of Sigmar himself and the other an Ancestor God) which is the main reason why it is so powerful against various unholy creatures as it's straight up a divine weapon instead of "just" a powerful rune weapons.
The Green Knight is a ghost. In fact, he's the ghost of Gilles le Breton, the first Royarch who died during the founding of Bretonnia. That said, he's more of a guardian spirit in service of the divine and not just some cursed undead monster.

For many many years blood in video games was effectively banned in Germany. I'm not sure whether that is still the case, I haven't kept up. Previous to digital distribution, games solved this by having the German-localised version censored; Carmageddon for example replaced all the pedestrians with zombies, altering textures and changing blood colour to green.
After digital distribution, some games solve this by having the base game be bloodless and releasing a DLC available everywhere but Germany (and, I assume, other jurisdictions with similar laws).

Also, when you pay it 1 time you get it for all 3 games (as long as it is still on the same platform like steam).

I should mention that wasn't a dragon in the first clip. That was a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch, a Lord of Change.
The old man in the first clip was an Imperial mage trying to delve into the secrets of Chaos to find a way to level the playing field, only to become corrupted by Tzeentch, hence the blue, scaley and feathery skin.
Tzeentch has strong ties to magic, especially in Warhammer Fantasy, where he is just straight up the Chaos God of Magic and Sorcery. Delving into the depths of arcane knowledge is dangerous because Tzeentch likes to leave bread crumbs all over the place, tempting mages with secret and forbidden knowledge.

You can make it so walls and other defenses are no longer any obstacle for you. And you can stack their armor with buildings, as well as reduce upkeep with Knightly Vows. It completely changes the strategy and can allow you to take on foes that far outnumber you. It feels amazing.

Generally speaking the game does an excellent job at matching the faction with the playstyle you might expect. The game feels really dynamic.
Bur I would urge you to start with 1 or 2 or mortal empires. 3 and immortal empires have really detailed sieges that are REALLY hard to navigate and it's disorienting honestly. Before 3, you didn't have to do sieges if the settlement doesn't have walls. Which made sense.

The undead armies are overpowered but suffer from Supervillain syndrome. If you can focus down the enemy leader, the army will lose the magic keeping them alive. Fighting them head on is not optimal and they will probably win. You need to alpha strike the enemy leader, and he has to keep himself defended behind a horde of undead. Battles against them play differently if you're doing it right.

So Yes all 3 games with all DLC will most likely cost more than 200 euro when not in sale.
But when you buy the 3rd game you will gain access to a map containing all 3 games content in 1 game (the immortal empire campaign).
Then you can buy each DLC/other 2 games depending on which faction you want to play (just the 3rd game alone give you 8 different "race" with different gameplay to play with for a total of 11 characters so you have thing to do). Each game has about the same amount of non DLC faction so all 3 would be more than 30 different campaign (at least in terms of race).
You like a race like Skaven for exemple, you buy the 2nd game or one of their DLC (if you like firearm you can buy the warlock dlc for clan Skryre...).
There are 2 kinds of DLC : faction DLC and lord DLC. The 1st one is costly but give you access to whole new race with different faction (like beastmen, wood elves, warrior of chaos, chaos dwarf...). The 2nd one is normally cheaper (but it tends to rise nowadays) and gives you just like 2 lord with some unit at best for 1/2 races (like for the Skarsnik and Belegar = squid + ranger...).
Some lord DLC are SUPER strong and important if you want to play a race like Skryre for Skaven as it gives them unit so strong that without them it's complicated to win some matchup while others are nearly useless.
Faction DLC are nearly always worth it but ONLY if you like the race/gameplay.

Probably covered, but here we go.
The main factoln of humans is The Empire. With Emperor Karl Franx. The founder of the empire is Sigmar, now the empires patron god.
Another human faction is Bretonia, a parody of the Arthurian legend. They are obsessed with knights and ladies. From the lowest wandering knight to the consecrated Knoght Reliquaries (the two dudes holding a horse skeleton) knighthood plays an important role in their culture.
Then we have the human ally factions. Usually just the dwarfs. They lost their jewel coty Karak Eightpeaks to a cunning goblin warlord. They are big on keeping grudges and have a book dedicated to do so.
Then we have the elf faction, the wood elves you saw. They are not really allied with humans as they hate the stuff they do to nature. The High eleves and dark eleves I think are ln the next game.
The orks are ñrrtty much unchanged, they work as a faction with giants, goblins, squigs, hags, and such. I don't know much about them.

Man, those trailers looks so old. Those are the ones for Total War Warhammer 1. In TWWH2 onward they upped the quality of the DLC significantly and the trailers are so much better, and so much more hype. And they made them full of pop culture reference too. TWWH2 introduce the more "fantasy" races of the warhammer world. Two factions of Elfs (High and Dark), Lizardmen (Dinosaurs riding on bigger dinosaur, aztec themed, with lasers and destructive magic), Tomb Kings (my favourite faction ! Undead egyptians with huge machine construct, they were the inspiration for Necrons in 40K), Vampire Pirates, and last but not least : Skaven (humanoid rats, think of every negative traits possible, and apply them to this race. Paranoid, cowards, foul, dirty, backstabbers, carrier of plagues... they're the best. Also the main antagonists in Vermintide 2)
And WH3 introduce Kislev (russian inspired human empire), Cathay (china inspired human empire), the Deamons of Chaos (all four faction), the Ogres and the Chaos Dwarves.
While the price of all DLC combined is... a bit staggering, they're not all necessary to have, and some are free. Also, in WH3 you can play the Immortal Empire map, which is a big old sandbox map with ALL factions playable. Including the ones from WH1 and 2. You need the old games to play the old factions tho, but you can usually get both for very low price during steam sales.

To answer your question about if certain races are better at fighting other certain races, not really. But you can get items and skills throughout all the campaigns that make particular armies better at fighting other races.
For example, if you're the dwarves n have an army fighting n winning against the greenskins over n over, they'll develop buffs that make them stronger against the greenskins. It's kinda like they're learning more about the particular enemy they're facing throughout their victories against them.

I was a 40k fan long before I really knew anything about Warhammer Fantasy. After playing all the Total War Warhammer games, I'm definitely a Warhammer Fantasy fan over 40k now. 40k is great but Fantasy is just so good. Locations matter, a planet gets eaten by Tyranids? Sucks I guess but not really a big deal. An Empire city like Nuln or somewhere else gets sacked? Damn thats a big fucking deal. It has stakes because its not a galaxy of places to just put random battles on. If an Empire or Dwarf or Elf city falls you feel and understand the impact because there are not an infinite amount they can just come up with. It makes the events so much more impactful.
Also the struggle of basic Humans against superior foes is way better in Fantasy. Being a 40k guard with a lasgun and all the air and artillery support to help you against the Orks, that sucks. Now imagine holding a pike being charged by hundreds of Orcs and your only support is inaccurate 15th century cannons. Sigmar's Men are way harder than the Emperors men.

In the total war warhammer series, your single-entity units that you need to form an effective army consists of two categories: lords and heroes. Lords are needed to command armies and serve as individual characters for you to command. Heroes accompany lords and bolster their armies with unique abilities, stat buffs, and even providing various forms of magic to further buff your army or hammer your enemies. Other single entity units are your monstrous units. Some of them, like giants, only need one model to represent them. Others, like Minotaurs, have more numbers, but are still small in quantity compared to regular infantry.

I don't know if anyone has answered your question when you asked who Sigmar is. I won't get into exact detail but I'll give you the basics. Sigmar is basically the Emperor of Mankind in warhammer fantasy's universe. only he's not stuck half-dead on a throne, being forced to consume souls to live and did somehow achieved godhood. that and he didn't seem intent on conquering everything like Big E was. as far as I know, Sigmar's only goal was to unite the human clans into a single empire. also at 11:48 , that was a dragon ogre. and you were kind of close when you called Khazrak a minotaur but don't let his appearance trick you. I believe what he is is called a bestigor. minotaurs are much, much, much larger

    Yes, it is expensive.
And even more so when you realize that you need TWWH1 and its DLC to play their factions in TWWH 3 . But there are ways around it.
For start content of dlc is quite specialized toward certain factions and factions not mentioned does not get anything. Therefor if pick faction to play from start you need only dlc or game (in case they are TWWH1 or TWWH2 base factions) which is about them. Let say you Want play as Norsca. You need only their dlc. If you don't wanna play as Beastmen you don't need any of their dlc (two in total). Unless you wanna play them all, you should be able to tell which dlc you need ,and which not. And Ai is stil playing factions you did not buy in campaign.
BTW Bretonians are completely free. Both their updates were FLC.
Also It helps a lot to buy them in discount or via G2A. A lot.
For faction overview I recommend Zerkovich which does all factions detailed rundown, including dlc newcomers (dlc units are in dlc separated videos) and maybe Colonel Damneders which once in while rank them in their current situations.

Okay, so Warhammer Fantasy was made first by GW, later they made 40k in it's own universe, and Age of Sigmar canonically happens later in the fantasy timeline.
The Empire led by Emperor Karl Franz is more like how HRE works then like the Roman empire, they operate like a swiss army knife and can be prepped in many ways. Also Sigmar was human and then became a god.
Dwarfs led by High King Thorgrim Grudgebearer are indeed very defensive based but they also have a massive ability to have a great gun line, also they record every wrong doing against them in the Book of Grudges (Spanning multiple volumes)
Chaos Warriors are exactly what it says on the can. They have alot of punch with monsters and warriors led by Arcaon the Everchosen destined to destroy the world.
Greenskins led by Grimgor Ironhide charge in quick and hit hard but really need to fight our they will start fighting each other.
The Vampire Counts led by Mannfred von Carstein (code name dickhead) are an army of necromancy that do not flee battle but if you kill the general i.e necromancer they army disintegrates.
Beastmen led by Khazrak one-eye are nomadic chaos mutants want to send the world back to when they ruled the wilds and humans were prey.
Wood Elves led by the elven demigod Orion (who dies every winter and is reborn every spring) and his wife Ariel are exactly what you think of classic elves lots of arrows and even mighty treemen and forest dragons. They
Bretonia is heavily inspired by the king Arthur mythos, are led by the Royarch Louen Leoncoeur are THE cavalry in the setting with peasant footmen supporting them, they are very much elitist assholes to almost everyone.
Norsca led by Wulfrick the Wanderer are chaos worshippers, before they get blessed by the Dark Gods, that are basically vikings and use the raid mechanic the most in game.
I'll do this again for the other TWW reactions as a quick once over for lore and some gameplay, there are other channels like pancreasnowork that can go deeper.

"In Warhammer Fantasy Old World or something like that since GW rebranded it after releasing the Age of Sigmar stuff and destroyed the old world. Because they need their Fantasy Space Marines the Stormcast Eternals (this is only my guess for the reason and The End Times was a shit show in old fantasy)."
Yeah, it's a bit more complicated then that. WHF was retired for presumable a few reasons:
      1. It wasn't selling well. Due to mismanagement WHF was a complete mess. Not only did the (very unbalanced) rules encourage people to buy large amounts of models, said models where also very overpriced which made it very beginner unfriendly. Meanwhile, most of the already existing players didn't buy any of the new models, usually because they just didn't have to. Presumably, this is also one of the major reasons as to why the Stormcast Eternals where created (so GW would have something that would make them a lot of money in their new big Fantasy IP by cashing in on 40K players) though by now they're slowly moving away from that as AoS is growing.
      2. GW had just come out of a massive lawsuit with ChapterHouse Studios and started renaming things as much as they could to keep a better grip on them. I don't think I have to explain why that's another reason why WHF got retired considering how much of a Fantasy Kitchen Sink it is.
3.While that's more of a theory, AoS was designed as a wargame setting unlike WHF which was designed as a D&D-like setting (especally in the beginning with stuff like "Terror Of The Lichemaster"). This meant that WHF simply had a very inflexible narrative since you couldn't actually change too much without crashing the entire setting anyway.

Bretonnia is... a faction, I supposed. They are essentially one big Arthurian legend reference with Grails, Lady of the Lake, Knights and chivalry.
Their units can be boiled down to Knights and Peasants, that's really about it. They are a faction predominantly about Knights and thus being VERY Cavalry-centric, while leaving ranged combat to their peasants as they think it is beneath them (cringe behavior). Their gimmick is very blatant, and so are their strengths and weaknesses. Their Cavalries are tanky and powerful, but their ranged support are paper thin. So if you can counter their Cavalry, then it pretty much GG... Most Spear units do bonus dmg against Cavalry. And Spear units are available at Tier 1. You know what Cavalry also bad at doing? Siege battles where units are forced to funnel into choke points and climb walls. I remember in one of my earliest interaction with them, they sieged the Orcs with a full stack army while the Orcs are at half stack. They lost to the Orcs and several turns later got pushed back to their capital. Bruh.

There are Halo Devices that pretty much turn a person into an immortal creature that looks kind of like a vampire or a lich but they don't really work the same. Plus, you have the blood angels but they just get the teeth. Also, that first one is really obscure lore you'll only come about if you look into the Halo Stars which is one of the, "don't go there you idiot" regions of space where there are things that are antediluvian horrors that are not related to Chaos. But hey you can find jewelry that'll make you immortal at the cost of warping your very soul.

Their early game is kind of discouraging, sure, but weather the storm and build your settlements right and once midgame hits you will be _completely unstoppable._
Their mountain affinities and chosen settlement locations are basically impossible to attack if you’re not a Skaven, Greenskin or Chaos Dwarf so once you get them out of the picture in the early game you can just sit back and let your absolutely batshit insane economy fund basically as many armies as you please, supply lines be damned, and pack them with Thunderbarges and some of the most devastating artillery in the game.

It isn't canon. What did happen was that the Skaven tried to pull Morrslieb (a moon made out of pure Warpstone) closer to the world to empower their magic. Since the Skaven where not really coordinating at all though, one of them called Ikit decieded to one-up everyone by BLOWING UP THE MOON using one of his super weapons. This would have resulted in everybody dying to the various moon pieces crashing on the planet but the Lizardmen over in Lustria used their powers to destroy or redirect most of the pieces. This resulted in the destruction of Lustria and heavy loses amongst Clan Pestilence who where invading the place during that time but it did give the world a bit more time. Notably though, Ikit would use another one of his weapons to blow up Nagash's Black Pyramid and another one would later be used to destroy Karak Eightpeaks (as far as I recall).

If someone didn't mention it already, as I love the Von Carstein faction, if a big battle happens, it leaves behind mass graves that allows them to recruit even when not in a major city without the usual global debuff, the Carsteins are also incredibly powerful hero unity and their units, being undead, do not usually suffer moral breaks... the downside is that they have a pitifully low amount of ranged units.

    • @TheLegitWeebs
      @TheLegitWeebs  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I'm assuming the global debuff would be something like increased recruitment time or cost? Guessing that each faction has some sort of resource that they would expend when recruiting units, or even when raising them from the dead.
