Especially when we hear him spin yarn about the Baron and the Warhammer. Are all Mechs built to last? That's kind of the feature of the game, yes. Mechs outlast most generations of pilots and some of those aren't because of attrition due to bullets. Mechs are sturdy but also created in such numbers you can find enough parts for some designs for hundreds of years. Also funny enough, some designs get refits but keep the same looks: Vulture and Vulture II I'm looking at you. There's designs in Tech Read out books that pretty much say "Oh this is a newer iteration to the X Chassis called the Y chassis but looks just like the X superficially". That saves us players time in mini collecting.

I've been watching your reactions to these videos from the Designing For channel, ever since the first Kirby one. And I love hearing your perspective on them, despite having never played much of the games. I think I might stick around. Keep reacting to this guy's stuff, he's amazing!

I don't know what happened to it, but someone posted a comment on the original video which amounted to going over how all of the other Primarchs would've reacted to Jopall. The most boring parts amounted to Mortarion and AlpheGon's own reactions.

Designing For’s Neo Cortex and Princess Elise videos are definite must watches (some Sonic lore would also be nice after the Elise recommendation)

Funny enough, he has done a video on Dr. Cortex. I was never interested in the Crash Bandicoot franchise, but his analysis on the pitiful nemesis is so good, I'm very tempted to play it.

You should watch Designing For's video on Doctor Neo Cortex, another iconic videogame baddy, but for very different reasons.

This is similar to how ork technology works. They believe something will work therefore it does, but it takes thousands of them to believe that technology will work in order to make it so. Whereas Russ thought about something so hard that he literally pulled it into reality. Just goes to show how powerful his mind and presence in the warp is.

I really love your reactions, they are full of personality, you should react to the Entire History of the Zelda Timeline from OnADock if you wanna continue this lore reactions of Nintendo games, and don’t worry I’d like 24 minutes unlike other Zelda lore videos that no matter if they even from the Lore of Tinkle or smth they somehow will be 1 hour or above without reason

You definitely need to find something that talks about, or just play Super Paper Mario yourself. I don’t want to say much other than it’s my absolute favorite Paper Mario (although it plays different from every other Paper Mario), it has an extremely captivating story, and that jester guy you mentioned hearing about is from this game (his name is Dimentio by the way)

What a nice surprise! Glad to see Designing For seems to now be a staple of your channel! I'm still patiently waiting for the BlazBlue Retrospective of Thorgi's Arcade, and hopefully the rest of his work, but I'd also love if you did a deepdive into the Sonic franchise, whether as reactions or playthroughs! When it comes to introducing through the games, the best would be Sonic X Shadow Generations, Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Unleashed for the 3D side, and 3 & Knuckles, Mania, and Rush for 2D. As for videos to check out, I recommend channels like Ace Card Gaming, TheMentok, HSquid Reviews, Mr Needlemouse, Sonic Theory and, of course, GamesCage. The fandubs for the IDW comics by Adrenaline Dubs and fanfilms like Project Shadow and Nazo Unleashed are also worthwhile watches!

If nobody mentioned it, the lore behind Super Mario is that everyone is born and delivered to their parents via storks. We learned this from Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island which serves as a prequel to the Mario canon.

Now that you're onto Mario characters, I have to recommend a video about my favorite Mario character of them all, "Wario the Idea vs. Wario the Man" by Schaffrillas Productions.

If you want character analysis and lore on Sonic characters, I recommend the ones made by ThePJShow. He has made ones for Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman (quality villain analyses are always great), Amy, Blaze, and Silver. He even made followup videos for Tails and Knuckles showing how modern writing restored the quality of their characters after the fact.

Hey, you watched it! Hope more people are able to see how incredible Bowser is. On that note, an aspect of Bowser people don’t really talk about, but furthers him as a character is his army. Think about video game enemies. They’re usually just wild life, mercenaries, or creations of the villain. Not worth a second though. Bowser’s minions? They’re all living, breathing characters that come from all across the mushroom world. Every Gooomba, Koopa, Shy Guy, etc, has a unique personality and background. Most of their respective species don’t even work for Bowser. Tons of the classic Mario “enemies” we associate with Bowser actually work peaceful jobs like being shopkeepers and bakers in their own communities. But that leaves the question. Why do some of them follow Bowser? Simple. They just think he’s really cool! They believe in his villainous dreams and see him as a role model to aspire to be. Every minion is a volunteer, and more than happy to carry out Bowser’s every command. Better yet, Bowser reciprocates this loyalty! He is extremely forgiving to his minions. Doesn’t matter how many times they screw up in defeating Mario, as long as they’re loyal to him, Bowser’s more than willing to give them a seat at the koopa table

And it's a goddamn shame that you only have 800 views after 3 hours it should be way way more than that at least over a thousand you guys make excellent content

the Mario RPGs are extremely charming games, I would highly recommend them

Unironically, I think the official Tailstube videos are the best ways to catch up with Sonic lore and character dynamics. They helped sort of streamline the series' complicated history and explains the world quite nicely. Even if they're not deep-dives like DesigningFor does, they're all short, sweet and very to the point.

There's not any massive lore on the Luma that follows Mario in SMG1, at least not at the level of Kirby lore. By "reseter of universes" he's talking about the ending where !!!SPOILERS!!! Rosalina needs to reset the universe with the Lumas sacrificing themselves as new stars in the galaxy, and it's heavily implied that the Luma that helps Mario becomes the center of that universe.

"When did Bowser Jr. get added?" Super Mario Sunshine. "Do we know who his mother is?" It's an eternal mystery.

If you want to do a dive into Megaman Lore. I'd recommend TheBlackMastadonte's video on the Bizarre and Complex lore of Megaman. He does a deepdive into the lore of each game and also coves some of the development history. He also did a video on Megaman X which is just as good.

Since both bowser and eggman was mentioned in this video. Why not watch Bowser vs Eggman death battle. That gives a great look into both bowser and eggman as a character!

Since Bowser in Super Mario Bros Wonder wasn't covered in this, His goal in that game was to, with the power of the Wonder Flowers, create a nonstop, universal rock concert

I really enjoy how Bowser's venerable status as a gaming villain has led to his development. Bowser started out as a simple obstacle at first, but as time went on, he became more and more defined. It also attaches him to the fans who may have been facing him since the beginning, watching how he always changes to face off against his (almost never changing) nemesis. It makes it feel like he's grown up with us. Mario will always be himself, but Bowser has a family to care for now, and serves as Nintendo's stand in for parental guidance in a very enjoyable way!

Probably my favorite thing about Bowser is that Nintendo made an animated guide for their Switch Parental Controls options, so they made it a skit using Bowser because he's Nintendo's first choice for an ideal parental figure.

If you're only interested in the horror factor of Luigi's Mansion, the only good title is the original. After it got popular, Nintendo pulled a Nintendo and made every following sequel more cartoony than scary, roaming more towards Security Breach jumpscares than actual deserved anxiety and tension. So if you just want the "feel" of a Luigi's Mansion game, pick any game you want from the series. If you want an actual horror experience, you can only really pick 1, or 2 if you really think it has the scares you want.

I have to clarify only the first two Paper Mario games are traditional RPGs while later entries are action RPGs. I remember people being really upset they went a more platformer style but while Super Paper Mario (third game) managed to get away with it with a genuinely well done high stakes story the later entries never reached those heights and are generally looked less favorably. It’s why the remake of The Thousand-Year Door (second game) is such a huge deal as it’s by far the most popular despite borrowing a lot of elements from the first game.

41:25 I recommend watching Skyehoppers video on Super Paper Mario. It is considered the Mario game with the best story, good enough to make people cry by the end. Also I recommend watching the Bowser vs Eggman deathbattle. Like even if you aren't into death battle or discussions involving which character can beat another, that episode is just all around great.
