Our most ambitious episode yet! Hope you all enjoy seeing the full bestiary of the Tyrnanids on display : ) Play Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus play.tacticusgame.com/invicta-nov24 and use the code "INVICTA1124" to get 1,000 Gold, 50 Blackstone and 15 shards.
The sense of doom is intentional, 40k was always the story about how the Imperium of Man was absolutely, irrevocably fucked, whether from Chaos or aliens or internal incompetence, but it's so impossibly vast that its death-throes will take centuries, if not millennia to take place.
Not really. yeah the imperium of man and tau is screwed vs nids but Orks have a good chance, Eldar would at least deplete if not outright defeat nids due to literal black hole guns and the Necrons just counter nids on a fundamental level as they specialize in both disintegrating and not possessing biomater that the nids so heavily rely on.
Very excited for part 4! I’d love to see a breakdown other other Warhammer 40K factions like this, like a invasion during the Great Crusade but by different legions.
One thing got me thinking " the spotter are quick to identify the form(biovore ". This would be late in the war, since the majority of humanity don't know anything of the horrors of the galaxy until confronted to it. IG must face terrible casualties just for the fact that they are kept in the dark about everything
To be fair, a six-legged thing with an enormous cannon-like growth on its back is pretty easy to identify as an artillery or assault gun equivalent even if you've never seen it before.
Hey man! I have been eagerly waiting for your second video on the bronze age collapse! You left it as if thou there was gonna be a second part. I hope you you make it soon! Thank you!
They always talk about the “centuries of knowledge” the hive contains but they still slog through Laz guns and weak life forms. Only to be surprise attack by a fleet hiding behind the sun in one case. Sometimes it feels like a kids power fantasy
I mean, Ive seen more horror movies than I care to count, but I still jump sometimes, even if you have seen it before, sometimes people get lucky and I start anticipating anything until it is too late
Just because you have experience and knowledge doesn't mean you can prepare for or stop something from happening. The tyranids just gotta do what they can do and hope for the best
Its a sci fi universe from 1987 with probably thousands of creators, authors, designers, campaign makers and probably some young people who like power fantasies. And this series might just be trying to show most of the different units and tactics they could use and not the MOST OPTIMAL.
It is one thing to posses knowledge and another to understand it/ use it. Just like some people in real life are good at using knowledge and some aren't, some Tyranid queens are better at applying knowledge than others. Learning about WW1 means little if you fail to use it; and WW2 happened as a direct result of that failure to use learned knowledge not long after.
East Flank needed some basilisks, west flank forgot that it had gas masks. It would had held if they had those. Though, this video generally creates a feeling of PDF forces being under-manned. It doesn't have that feeling of total mobilization. In reality, tyranids would not had broken through any lines yet due to how much manpower there would be in each front.
Fighting retreats generally require good discipline and coordination to keep them from turning into routs, and as we see here in the video the Tyranids caused a general rout when they attacked from all directions with overwhelming force while leaving just enough room for the Imperials to potentially flee.

Last time I was this early the guard hadn't taken 101% casualties yet.
Only 101%, that had to be first few seconds!
Ain't no way we have true scale of tyranid invasion part 4 before GTA 6.
Holy hell the part of the toxacrean was intense
Last time I was this early, the Crimson Fists were standard on Space Marine box covers
The good old days.
I can't get beyond the idea that 40k was written themselves into a corner with how powerful nids are

Last time I was this early, there was only one known hive fleet.
Ive been waiting for this series to continue. Good start to a Saturday
You made the Toxicrene sound so much more terrifying than its official model would have sold, well done!
Very excited for part 4! I’d love to see a breakdown other other Warhammer 40K factions like this, like a invasion during the Great Crusade but by different legions.
Last time I was this early, Cadia still stood.
I’ve been looking forward of this
Love everything here. Cant wait for wave 5 against the hivecity
The Imperial Guard here looks like they're fighting with an understrength regiment
i mean it IS supposed to be a fringe hive world. dont see many officers in a village do ya?
The All-seeing Emperor has come!
GOATED SERIES!!
My main army is Tyranids. The Toxicrene is my favourite model in it, I call him Tim :p
One thing got me thinking " the spotter are quick to identify the form(biovore ".

Experience != invincible or all-knowing. Even an experienced leader can be caught off guard.

for the algorithm
Nice Iraq reference
Let's hope this story eventually ends with the Ultramarines saving the day with their plot armor.

In grimdark future of 40th millenium, fighting retreat was not in strategy books.
