Before it was tragically patched out, an error in an update caused Greasus Goldtooth, the colossally fat Ogre Legendary Lord to move at 400 speed. For reference, the fastest baseline unit is, if memory serves, the Phoenix at 120 speed. So for a few glorious days, we had Greasus Lightning rocketing around the battlefield plowing through everything in his path at speeds that would make Sonic the Hedgehog green with envy.
For a short explanation the weird tornado thing you saw is called the great vortex its in the middle of ulthuan the high elves place, the vortex is created by the elves to siphon excess magic from the mortal world to lessen demon incursions and mutations so it is very important for everyone 😅
To add on to that: Without the great vortex, the mortal world would have been consumed by chaos ages ago. There's a bunch of the most powerful high elven archmages to ever exist, trapped inside that vortex, forced to keep the ritual up for eternity.
Funny things the changeling have done. He prank Khorne by setting a nurgling on his throne to act like a whoopee cushion. He also he stole the silver apples of knowledge from Slaanesh's palace only to drop in Nurgle garden, cut away Slaanesh's hair while the Dark Prince slept, and from it wove a cloak, but my favorite prank he did tho is when he sealed the doors of Khorne's Brass Citadel while he was away campaigning, forcing the Blood God to shatter his own proud gates when he returned.
I mean, Ogres are the only faction that can eat Daemons and ghosts and give them true death, so there's no going back to the Warp in an Ogres stomach. They're race was created by the Old Ones to literally devour Chaos. So yeah, if anyone has a chance of beating Chaos, it's them.
51:59 Those poor Greater Daemon of Khorne didn't stand a chance. Felix and Gotrek, a young man who got kicked out of university and a dwarf Slayer, Bros For Life and Forever. Be'lakor is the first Daemon Prince and for a time was the only one but his success saw the spread of Chaos and more servants to the flocked to the Gods. Be'Lakor was also growing too big for his britches and wanted to become a god too. But his success was double edged sword, he lost favor with the Gods and some of his power was given to other new and more loyal Champions and Princes. Also as a last F*** you from the Gods he is also forced to crown the Everchosen of Chaos and be his advisor against his will. Everchosen is the top leader of Chaos forces like Horus and Abbadon as Warmaster in 40k. Harald Hammerstorm is THE Warhammer guy, 1st edition first character. He wields the Hammer of Harry, anti-undead hammer.
Harald Hammerstorm, from the second to last trailer, is the character on the front of the first edition Warhammer Fantasy Battles box set, beating a skeleton with a warhammer. In Total War: Warhammer, he quite literally makes mindless undead feel fear.
Diplomacy does exist in all the games. One neat thing that was added in game three though was that being allied to someone would let you build points with them. You can then use those to hire a few of their factions units for your armies (that go away if the alliance breaks) or gain control of an entire army of theirs for a few turns. It gives a real reason (other than just not wanting to fight them) to pursue alliances.
Also, you can permanently steal their immortal heroes, but that's a bug. Just get the hero wounded while the army survives, then give the army back. Always fun to nick Belagar's ancestral heroes.
So I see nobody explaining the "Daniel" part. When the customizable lord (The godslayer - who is Yuri from the game trailer you said looked like a movie) was announced and first showcased the guy that showcased the lord was talking about how you could name him different names, and as he did so he took different names such as Azgoth the slayer, etc, etc until finally settling on "Daniel" The community ran with it because it was funny and now the Godslayer's "Canon" name by many is Daniel the Daemon. And just in case people never explained, Daniel is one of the champions of chaos capable of recruiting demons from every demon faction, and a unique thing about him being that he has no limit to just how many demons he can recruit unlike other unaligned Champions of Chaos such as Archaon the Everchosen.
He can also change his body parts to improve his strength and power. He can also choose to focus on one chaos god to get more benefits from them and their units.
fun fact for that trailer with thewoman hunting with her bear friend, she wandered into Khorne's domain, and if you look slightly above that tower you can see Khorne himself looking back at you
the guy at 34:33 is Archaon, the Everchosen. a man from the Empire, who fell to Chaos, eventually proving himself to all four Chaos Gods and becoming their Chosen warrior in the mortal realm, he is the one that is chosen to lead the forces of Chaos and bring about the End Times
I'd HIGHLY recommend looking into Cody Bond's a Noob's Guide to Warhammer, he does a combination of lore, and gameplay breakdown of a TON of characters while also poking fun at bits, I've never seen a reactor react to his stuff before so it'd be cool to see it from you
40:12 That was a funny throw at themselves. When they showcased mixed demon faction, they demonstrated that you can name your legendary lord and they named him DANIEL
22:09 A quick explanation about all this different lords, they are actually the same lord, its a demon prince in game that you can customize with different body parts and weapons, you gain parts by doing actions in the name of a certain god and each body part gives you different stats and even abilities, you can choose to go with only 1 god or maybe 2 or maybe you can be undivided and gain favor from all the gods there are hundreds of combinations that let you experiment and play as you wish, same with your armies, being capable of recruiting units from all 4 chaos gods
Harold Hammerstorm was the original mascot of Games Workshop when Fantasy battle first came out in the 1980s. He was called Harry the Hammer and was one of the fan favourites for a long time. In the end times, he was finally brought low by Vlad Von Carstien
fun fact nurgle and the other that are infected with the gift of the plauge doesn't feel any pain and they see the world on a whole other prospective and they see a safe haven and they want others to see this as well and feel it also 1 unit in the game that is massive is like a puppy he wants to play with the others but doesn't know that he is killing them becaus he is to inocent to understand his actions
Kinda amazing you just guess the little demons as nurglings because that is their name 😂 Also kugath plague father the big green guy in the chair is also a nurgling before that falls inside nurgles cauldron and evolve to become a great unclean one which is the greater daemon of nurgle😮
Azazel, the champion of chaos who had the two snakes is a champion for Slaneesh. Valkia the Bloody, whom you thought to be a champion for Slaneesh is a champion for Khorne. Harald Hammerstorm was the very first posterboy for Warhammer and the name Warhammer is either derived from his warhammer, or he was given the Warhammer because of the franchise name. Either way he is an OG.
when you ally with a faction you are aloud to build a military outpost witch alows you to recruit this factions units depending on what units the setlement makes
Harald Hammerstorm is affectionately known by the warhammer community as Harry the Hammer, and he carries THE original Warhammer both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40K get their name from, The one Karl Franz wields was introduced later. He hates the undead, and he loves killing the undead. In his long campaign as a champion of Chaos he became so infamous for killing the undead, that the the undead, normally completely immune to psychology because they're undead puppets controlled by necromantic magic, somehow became afraid of the guy. Nobody hammers quite like Harry.
1:00:40 That SHapeshifting creature is simply called, the Changeling, he is a Tzeentchian Daemon who specialise in Manipulation, Deceit and Plotting. He takes the appearance of Others as well as their mannerism to plot and scheme devious plans. Here you can see him take on the aspect of a Kislevit Sorceress, who burns down a Shrine of Nature, wich Angers the Hags and they unleash an army of creatures on the poor city that actually did nothing wrong. He then morphs into a Kenku messenger to bring false reports to a Cathay Lord who go to war with his rivals, despite them not doing anything. Thats how he operates, he Sows chaos and lies and then Enjoys the spectacle.
Not much of a schemer myself, but I'd be very curious to see how he actually plays in game. Ruining diplomacys between nations sounds kinda fun. Also, based pfp. That's Guts right?
A fun thing with in-game diplomacy: certain factions allow you to just straight-up take over others if you meet criteria that would make sense in-universe. For example: with Norsca and Greenskins, if you beat an army with the opponent’s faction leader at its head, you can take all of their settlements and armies right then and there. There’s a chunky hit to general public order for the next few turns, but it’s usually worth it. And besides, it makes sense: you proved that you were a more worthy leader. Ergo, you’re in charge now. With other factions, the criteria are different. Chaos is a bit similar. If a Warriors is Chaos faction is ground down to one settlement and their leader defeated, you can confederate (which is just the in-game term for making them join you) them. But others, like the Empire and Brettonia, have avenues though less direct means than violence. The tech-tree for Brettonia has milestones where you can just tell sub-factions to join you by force of noble obligation. The Empire has a secondary resource mechanic that lets you build favors and good will among the feuding tollbooth kingdoms of the Empire until they _want_ to join you. And each time that happens, you gain a province with not only the direct in-game resources, but an extra means of capitalizing on all of your resources to represent bringing in both another resource-rich region as well as statesmen that are skilled at exploiting such resources. I have a lot of love for TW:WH, though it’s sad that Creative Assembly nuked a lot of its community good will in the last couple big updates. I do hope they dig themselves out of the hole, though. EDIT: Oh goodness me why was this so long
To those who wanna know, harald hammerstorm is an old meme of warhammer fantasy and the og hammer dude, when they made the meme an actual character they made him the absolute bane of all undead, capable of bringing fear back to those cold dead hearts, somthing that shouldn't be possible
The ogre king has like 6 titles, his actual name is Greasus Goldtooth, but with his titles, he is Tradelord Greasus Tribestealer Drakecrush Gatecrasher Hoardmaster Goldtooth the Shockingly Obese
Fun fact in the immortal empires campaign they put all the evil things in the empire of man so they don’t have a great starting position as you are constantly beset on all sides and they have only made this worse by adding more chaos factions into the area
Alright Round 3! Kislev led by Tzarina Katarina and the Grand patriarch Kostaltyn is Russia and Poland in the setting they are set up right next door to Norsca and the Chaos Wastes so they are almost always at war they also have Ice Witches. I don't think I need to do a base summary of Chaos. Main leaders Skarbrand the Exile for Khorne, Kairos Fateweaver for Tzzentch, N'kari for Slanneesh, and Kugath Plague Father for Nurgle. Grand Cathay is led by the ancient Celestial Dragon Emperor and his children Miao Ying and Zhao Ming, yeah it's China. It's also the oldest nation in the setting.(CA and GW had to add a lot of fluf to get it actual lore instead of one paragraph.) The Ogre Kingdoms are a number of wandering tribes led by Over Tyrant Greasus Goldtooth and Skragg the Slaughterer they are cursed by an endless hunger that they can and will eat everything even other people. The other leaders of Chaos are humans that have been ascended to daemonic princedom. There is a Daemon prince character (he was that Yuri person) that is a build your own lord faction for Chaos Undiveded. Azazel is for Slanneesh was alive when Sigmar was still mortal, he is so pretty (Via chaos shenanigans) that people just give up and join him rather then fight. Festus the Leechlord was a doctor that saved a lot of people till he gave up and joined Nurgle for knowledge of all diseases. Vilitch the Curseling was a weak wizard and his brother was a strong warrior and he pleaded to Tzzeentch for their places changed and he combined them together with Vilitch controlling his muscled brother. Valkia the Bloody was such a hardcore Khorne whorshipper that when a Slanneshi daemon tried to get her in his harem she killed him then when she died trying to take his head to Khornes Skull throne Khorne he turned her in to his valkyrie. Chaos Dwarfs led by Astrogath the Ironhand, Drazoath the Ashen, and Zhatan the Black worship the minor Chaos God Hashut god of fire and domination, it should be noted that Dwarfs can't be forced to chaos worship, Babylonia references here and lots of slave labor. There are short victories if you want short games as well.
Also Harald Hammerstorm was the first every Warhammer community meme called harry the hammer. He killed an army of undead so hard the dark gods gave him anti undead powers. That last trailer had warhammer Baba Yaga, another Dragon sibling from cathay, and a Tzzeentch deamon called the Changeling he is a sneaky bastard.
Kislev is based of (Kievan) Rus. So technically not Russia but the predecessor of todays Russia and many other eastern Europe Countries (and that includes Finland).
@@sagittariusa9012 It i fully based on historical Russia stop trying to make it like rus didn't exist before the soviet union we have a larger history than the US...and no the finish ancestors were long pushed away from the regions during the ancient rus times(btw in a sadly close to being allied point ty old poland...)
@@tatfly5779 Kislev is based of the kievan Rus. Rus and Russia are not the same! That is like calling the Holy Roman Empire Germany. And are you really using "ancient" together with Rus? The earliest form existed since 882 (medieval). Kievan Rus hold also parts of todays Poland and you literally have the polish winged hussars in Kislev.
@@sagittariusa9012 they are one and the same no matter how much you westerners will try to twist the fact this our history it wil always remain you can try to paint hussars as polish but they were always in the ancient rus army same as a variation of vikings the varyag again you can attempt to twist history but it is Rus history the foundation on which rus was built with all it's religion and even war tactics as for polish with the amount poles invaded the ancient rus and got pushed back it's no wonder the rus hold what used to be their territories.
To quote him from Realmslayers: "I fought Chaos Dragons and Lich Kings! I fought Greater Demons and the Gods themselves! I bleed Be'Lakor, the Prince who would be King! I crossed axes with Grimnir and walked away! I swore to die in battle but outlived a world! Come, try me, beast! Maybe you'll have better luck then every beast I've slain 'til now! Maybe we both will!"
You are correct that the chaos gods and their mortal followers hate each other and are always looking to outdo one another, however, they can put these differences aside on occasion if a sufficiently successful warlord with blessings from multiple gods manages to take charge and beat the subservience into them. Strength follows strength in the world of chaos worship.
if you look at the trailer for the harald hammerstorm trailer when he screams at the necromancer, you see that the undead army stops moving to stare at em. also the maps gonna get bigger if they include the rest of the factions.
So to add a bit of context for the little stinger clip at the end of the announcement trailer (2:51 here): Grand Cathay, Warhammer Fantasy's china analogue, had long been a a background feature of tabletop Warhammer Fantasy. It would get occasional mentions, but always framed as rumors, things like "travelers say that to the east lies a mighty empire ruled over by a dragon emperor", never any concrete info. In the leadup to Total Warhammer 3, there had been rampant speculation about if and how Cathay would make an appearance. What was generally settled on was that it would probably be a later addition, a DLC faction similar to the Vampire Coast (who had similarly been a side player and never a "full" official army - they got an army list in a White Dwarf Magazine issue, but never had official models). Basically nobody expected that it would be a core faction for the game. Then this trailer drops, and it ends with the advisor shuffling some papers away on the desk to reveal Grand Cathay prominently on the map, with a musical sting evoking the same leitmotif CA had used in all their trailers for Total War: Three Kingdoms (which is, of course, set in China), and with the Advisor then looking directly at the camera as if to confirm "yes, it's in". People went nuts.
There's a TON of hidden real world references often adult in nature inside the trailers when you know what to see. EX: Daemons of Chaos Trailer -> Slaanesh Daemon Prince stepping on head of Kislev soldier -> "Step on me Mommy!" 😅
Tzeentch's aesthetics are potentially the most varied since it's the god of changes, mutations and magic. But in recent years they've been pushing primarily that birdy aesthetic with feathers, beaks etc. And I don't dig it because they narrow the design potential down.
33:03 they are the warriors of chaos that have taken the mark of their respective gods and fight for their favor. Azazel - Daemon prince of slaanesh Festus the leechlord - Daemonkin of nurgle Vilich the curseling - Daemonkin of tzeentch Valkia the bloody- Daemonkin of khorne They are the humans that are most favored by the gods becoming a half daemon half human. Azazel is a full daemon prince
The Chaos Wastes, is the north and south poles of the Old World. Where the Chaos bleeds into the world from the corrupted gates of the Old Ones. The Wastes are both defined places, infinite and finite, and the source of the Winds of Magic. A Chaos on earth where the four siblings wage unending war against one another.
PancreasNoWork does good stuff. He's also part of the Lorecrimes podcast who regularly cover Warhammer content and lore, as well as having debates/shit-talking sessions about certain Warhammer topics every other week. There's also Loremaster of Sotekh, a big Lizardmen fan who does a lot of Warhammer Fantasy lore stuff, including a long-running podcast called Lorebeards. Although I should mention that Sotekh's original co-host left the podcast some time ago and he has since partnered up with a Mr Andy Law, AKA Lawhammer, who is a professional writer that used to work for Games Workshop, namely stuff for their Warhammer Fantasy RPG books. I highly recommend the Lorebeards for more complicated topics like the Winds of Magic or the Children of the Dragon Emperor of Cathay; the two kind of go hand in hand because the Dragon Children all embody one of the Winds of Magic. Case in point? Miao Ying and Yuan Bo, the two legendary lords shown off for Grand Cathay, are two of the Dragon Emperor's children, embodying the Wind of Life and the Wind of Heaven respectively. And in case you're wondering how the Winds of Life and Heaven translate into lightning storms and throwing rocks? It's complicated, but since since life is associated with water, Miao Ying can use that to make storms and lightning, and because the Heavens include planets and other Celestial bodies, which conveniently includes the planet everyone is standing on, it can be used to cast meteor.
Ok, let me talk you about a couple of things, the first is the winged demon woman you've seen getting surrounded and then rampaging: Valkia the Bloody. Valkia used to be a mortal queen... of the worst kind... she was violent, cruel, oppressive and, in general, what you can imagine a murder-hobo cross between Xena and the Queen of Hearts... so cruel that she was murdered by her own court. But one does not spend a life swimming in blood without drawing the attention of a certain someone... Khorne LOVED her and so he resuscitated her as his WIFE. You noticed her rather organic looking shield with a slaaneshi symbol on it? Once a slaaneshi demon prince mocked her, claiming that she was more fit for his bedchambers rather than the battlefield... so she slaughtered him and ripped off his still living face, affixing it to her shield. She's badassery at its finest. The second thing are ogres... I LOVE ogres, my first codex was the ogre codex from when they were still grey, instead of being human-skinned. Ogres are gigantic huns coming from one of the most hostile and cruel environment in the world, an endless rocky desert. They forged their whole culture on OBESITY. You know how in primitive cultures overweight was a sign of health? Basically the same, but on steroids. Their entire life is spent ransacking and eating in an attempt not only to survive, but to THRIVE! Their god is the Great Maw, a literal hole in the ground: a crater caused by a warp-infused meteorite that mutated even the ground surrounding it, turning the soil in an endless orgain hole lined with spear sized razor-sharp teeth. Every time they set camp, they dig a hole in the ground, line it with blades and throw part of their meals in it so the Great Maw can feed whenever they are. Their mages are literal butcher, channelling their magic by eating things and since they want to be sure they'll be able to eat whatever is required to cast their spells that they rip their teeth out of their gums, only to replace them with nails and rock shards. You know the gigantic dude eating in the middle of the battle? That's Greasus Goltooth, the ogre ruler. Remember how Grom the Paunch was the goblin who got so fat and powerful that he could afford to order other goblin around to watch his feet? Greasus is so fat and powerful that he probably hasn't touched ground in DECADES, he has a small horde of gnoblars (basically goblins, but for ogres) that he forces to carry him, his throne, his treasure and his banquet around the battlefield. Imagine a 5m tall beached whale of a man forcing a small army of less than 1m tall green monkeys to carry him AND HIS STUFF around 24/7... while also occasionally snacking on one of them when he feels like it. Ogres are terrifying and awesome.
the bigger map doesnt make games that much longer at a certain point your empire is just the biggest so no matter what the ai does you can just have more stuff and flood their lands with numbers at a certain amount of turns you dont fight many battles, you just flood the world in blood
I'm pretty sure the demons are mostly the same between fantasy and 40k, to the point that a lot of the models can just be interchangeable between each tabletop game. XD
So, one of the cool things about the Chaos Dwafs is that the giant mech you commented on is literally made by enslaving a daemon and forgong it into shape, using the puter metal almost as a shell to both have it retain its form because it was ripped from the Chaos Realms before it could get one, but also so that it follows the orders of the Dwarfs via special runes on the metal.
That's really cool. I think a group of Chaos Space Marines from 40k also does something similar, but from what I know of the Chaos Dwarfs this tech makes a lot of sense.
This game is bloody expensive but i enjoy playing it because i can play as the stinky chonky and green demons😂 Also if your curious the bird is named kairos fateweaver a greater daemon of tzeench but kairos is unique among the other tzeench greater demons because he have 2 heads one can see the past and the other can see the future but he is blind to the present😮
Although the homeland is called the "Ogre Kingdoms," that title is so loose you can't come up with an analogy for it. The Ogres are more in line with a series of nomadic tribes ever on the lookout for their next big feast. The Ogre Kingdoms are, lorewise, based in the Mountains of Mourn, bordering the Western Provinces of Grand Cathay. The ogres are best known for their role as mercenaries for anyone that can afford their often inflated gold and food prices. The average unit of Ogres are what you'd expect, few in number, but representing a living battering ram with no concern for consequences. The Ogres also make use of a subspecies of greenskins known as Gnoblars, think goblins with larger noses, and a social hierarchy that centers around the size of an individual ogre's gut and how many titles they have, and trust me, Ogres LOVE adding new titles to their name.
The ogres are an extremely culturally diverse race bar religion, since they are well known for their mercenaries pretty much everyone hires them to fight people, including Cathay, The Empire and the Orcs, and the ogre maneaters (main mercenaries) mimic the culture they're fighting for, which is why some of the ogres looked like pirates
Fun Fact: Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy had elements that almost hinted at being connected during their early editions. Unfortunately, it's no longer the case by some details still remain like finding an occasional chainsword in Fantasy.
They are connected by the warp/realms of chaos, and because of chaos' non-linear nature several characters can have multiple things be true about them at the same time. For instance, Slaanesh was created in 40k but exists in WHF, and was imprisoned in AoS but is free in 40k. So far only natural daemons are able to cross over both realities, so Archaon is never going to meet Abaddon, but both can meet Be'lakor.
PancreasNoWork has some good videos on warhammer factions and characters (both fantasy and 40k). My 2 favourites are his Setra the Imperishable video and his Ogres are the best warhammer race to live as video.
There's just something about Khorne that makes me brain go whee every time. It taps into some animalistic primal part of my soul. I will always hate him as much as he hates me. I'm not very well versed regarding Fantasy lore TH-camrs but PancreasNoWork is a fantastic one for all sorts of snappy, funny faction focus videos from all three universes. Might want to start there. His Do or Don't series covers factions from more of a gameplay perspective for the tabletop but can be enjoyable too.
You are correct, diplomacy mechanics exist in total warhammer, but that's pretty much the short and long of it, they EXIST. Diplomatic relations ARE possible but with so many different factions engineered to be perpetually looking to extinct each other, you're just as likely to start a war with one just by making friends with another. And trust me, it ALL comes back around eventually.
imortall empires got 280 factions and if you bought every dlc and game you have acces to all of them but know that each faction has three goals they can achieve to win a game 1 a short game victory deafting nearby foes and conquering a certain amount of settlements 2 a long game victory deafting a bigger pool of enemys and have a larger raquirements of conquering settlements 3 world domination (can be thru diplomancy or thru total conquest) know when i say conquer i dont mean you just gotta take over becaus some factions dont have settlements and just need to raze and destroy citys these destroyed citys can be taken again
6:30 Fun fact, that image of Khorne looming over the entire castle in the background? That is the first time a Chaos God has ever been directly depicted in anything. Otherwise they are only ever described or represented by one of their Greater Demons.
It's genuinely impressive how huge the world map is and feels. You could spend anywhere from 20 to 100 hours on a sandbox campaign and there's near a hundred factions to play.
@@TheLegitWeebs Well if you want some overview you might wanna check out Mandaloregamings reviews on them, he goes through all factions and their quirks
@@TheLegitWeebs Personally I'd recommend starting with 2 and its Vortex campaign (vanilla is sandbox but a race and about 10 to 20 hours long) but only when the game is on sale. (Or try CDkeys for a massive bargain) If you enjoy it and end up getting 3, well you've just gotten some of the best races because you bought 2. Additionally 2 has the best DLC story campaigns (Warden and the Paunch, Twisted and the Twilight, and Silence and the Fury).
53:01 well technically speaking kislev is apart of the empire, but due to shenanigans and politicticing kislev was allowed more autonomy especially considering they are on the boarders of the chaos waste and norsca thus under constant attack, and the story of the chaos dwarfs is the saddest, before the vortex (that tornado that high elves control) demons and chaos itself nearly overran the world, the early dwarfs retreated into the worlds edge mountains and the grey mountains during this retreat the clan of the chaos dwarfs were cutoff and captured. So to save their lives and thinking they had been abandoned by their kin they swore allegiance to the dark gods, now when the dwarfs were created by the old ones to be anti magic. So the chaos gods began tampering with dwarfs to see if they could influence and or make them susceptible to magic/mutations, and no it turns out that if dwarfs use magic it turns their bodies to stone in a process called petrification (the dwarf in the mech shit that awakens that huge monster is going through said petrification) so most of the weapons you see chaos factions use? Most likely built by the chaos dwarfs
yes total warhammer 3 imortal empires map is the biggest gaming map based on scale to get from one end to the other it takes 8 hours imortal empires short campaign vicorys can last to max of 5 hours (without battle time taking into acount) imortal empires long victory can last between 8 - 12 hours immortal empires world domination speed runs is at 18 hours minimal world record
Okay, so the trailer after the Slaanesh one was for the Daemon Prince faction, which is all the daemon faction units and a few of each gods mechanics in one extremely customizable lord, and the one after that was for the game’s tutorial campaign. The champion of chaos DLC added for new leaders. The Mirror of Madness thing is like super custom games where you can change any aspect of the games fights till your computer explodes. Finally, this series also does a lot of Free DLC, it was free legendary lord with their own faction, but now only free heroes who can be added to army’s of specific factions like the hammer storm (who was warhammer’s first meme even in a time where the internet wasn’t widespread). A channel I would recommend for this game and lord (apart from PancreasNoWork) is one called Cody Bond with his Noobs Guide series. He covers the lore and play styles of individual lords in the game.
There is a thematic video on the Total War channel with the confrontation between the two developers "Total War: WARHAMMER III - Episode I: Prince of Men". Very entertaining.
So, I'm not sure for Fantasy, but according to Bricky's latest video on the 40k timeline, at one point in the past the Warp was separated from the Realm of Chaos, which might be what you were seeing in the one trailer where Nurgle fights Slaneesh. Also, and this I know is correct cause I read the wiki, Nurgle is the oldest of the Four main Chaos gods, having been birth right alongside life itself at the beginning of time. That's why many call him Grandfather Nurgle, though Papa Nurgle works all the same. There's apparently a Fifth Chaos God called Malice or something that's largely been cast aside in the lore, but who is actually considered the most powerful of all of the Chaos Gods. The others hate and fear him, and he's probably the only being they would join together and fight, except that they can't stop fighting against each other to do so.
in imortal empires there exist come game ending senarios like a gruge to far for the dwarfs wich spons 8 full armies with late game units outside the strongholds of the main dwarf factions and there also exist similar senarios for the tomb kings the skaven etc and when those senarios activate you are automaticaly at war with them also you can choose wich senarios to activate and in what time frame they would spawn and how much turn before they hasppen you have and can also choose a difficalty from easy to legendary easy the easies wich spons less armies with worse quality units all the way to legendary wich spans 8-9 armies with the best units and monsters the faction possese note its 8-9 per major faction of the end game chrisis race
@@TheLegitWeebs he fell in love with her after stabing a slanssh deamon prince, and after said deamon prince ambushed her and her trusted bodygurd and kill them, khorn was so angry about the battle he resurected her. It's funny how in the tutorial for TWW3 is the story of Yuri, Prince of Kislev, and it literally just follows the story of Prince Arthas from WC3 when he reaches Northrend
I should mention that there is a long history of daemons in Warhammer Fantasy crossing into Warhammer 40k and vice versa. This is kind of a given since 40k was originally pitched as taking place in the distant future of Warhammer Fantasy, and one would assume that these are just holdovers and tongue-in-cheek references to the older editions of 40k. Except writers for 40k like to screw around with the idea of the two being separate dimensions that daemons can drift in and out of via the Warp, which is actually canon. And canonically, the Chaos Gods exist in both Fantasy/Age of Sigmar and 40k simultaneously, as they are omnipresent beings that pervade all of time and space, even if their power waxes and wanes; Slaanesh did not exist in 40k until the Eldar created it, but once Slaanesh was created it existed retroactively and was able to influence the universe even before it was born. That is why Slaanesh is often called the youngest Chaos God; Slaanesh has always been there, standing beside the other Chaos Gods as a conceptual entity, but Slaanesh didn't 'wake up' until the Fall of the Eldar. Slaanesh was also effectively removed from Warhammer Fantasy for a time during the End Times saga, being devoured by the Horned Rat while in a vulnerable state and then later being imprisoned up until recently in Age of Sigmar, which meant that Slaanesh was effectively dead and had thus lost the Great Game in Warhammer Fantasy and had to go play in other universes until they were let back in. On that note, a lot of Khorne's Warhammer Fantasy units are actually from 40k, like the mechanical Bloodcrushers and other similar mechanical units we would understand as 'Daemon Engines', or living-mechanical constructs created by forcing daemons inside them in a form of possession. This works because Khorme is staunchly anti-magic, unlike the other Chaos Gods, so his forces made up for this by using advanced technology. Most of the more egregious stuff, like lascannons and actual 40k vehicles, were phased out due to Khorne's preference for melee and the realization that they had to separate the sci-fi stuff from 40k from the things that were still in fantasy, but you do see small things like the Bloodcrushers and Daemon Engines creep back in, and named daemons like Skarbrand even return to Fantasy with 40k equipment, like his various chain-axes.
There is also a Weapon called "Chainsword", which is also from 40k (and I think also gain via a Quest in Immortal Empires) which you can find in the Realms of Chaos in TW Warhammer 3
@@sagittariusa9012 True, but Khorne prefers chain-axes, and he would probably be way into chain-hammers as well if they were more popular. What is a chain-hammer? Several chain-axes welded together into a vaguely hammer or mace shaped object with chainsaw blades on a each side, which adds a LOT of weight to the weapon.
Slaanesh was never eaten by the Horned Rat. In fact, it ate so many souls that it grew powerful enough to challenge THE THREE OTHER CHAOS GODS in sheer might, meaning that the Horned Rat wouldn't have had the slightest chance to do anything to it. The reason why it was captured though was because, as a side effect of eating so many souls, it's mind took a nosedive and it was reduced to a gluttonous eating machine that, by the time of Age of Sigmar, simply walked into a trap set up by Tyrion, Teclis, Malerion (Malekith with amnesia), Morathi (the four of which where using themselves as living bait) and Tzeentch (who helped the four find Slaanesh) without thinking twice about it.
@@pile-o-nonsense3688 Yes, but the notion that Slaanesh got kicked out of Warhammer Fantasy because he was eaten by the Rat God is just too amusing to pass up.
Any of EngagingBear's videos. I recommend 'Faith, Steel, Gunpowder' (New or Old) , 'Supreme Patriarch' , 'Ironhammer', 'Battle Montage', or 'Dreadfleet'. They're all worth a watch, especially if you're looking for good warhammer content.
25:50 the immortal empires is a feat of game development, the turns are much better then they were, and yes there are short term and long term victory conditions so you can play a race for a short time and them a long time if you feel like it or even come back to a camping.
the free for all was so you could get units from other factions and even other races like you can get all special units from khorn in your slanesh comander led army
Immortal empires has like 200 ish factions. The end turn time is purely based on how good your pc and what turn it is as the late game lag real is, for me at the start its like 10-20 seconds.
also yoiu got azasel and valkia from the champions of chaos dlc wrong azazel is the first from this pack and is from slanesh and the last from the pack was valkia the blody she is from korne
@@TheLegitWeebs absolutely, thats why it often seams hes losing battles but hes just having fun, he told everyone that khorn is the strongest good so everyone would go and attack him
I love seeing these reactions of people who have a tiny little bit of knowledge about Warhammer and therefore try to make wild guesses... and are always totally off. XD
I recommend some videos by a TH-camr named enagingbear, he does very cool cinematics using the game's engine. They're pretty short vids, but fun to watch nonetheless.
@@TheLegitWeebsYou can identify them by the color when in doubt. Red=khorne Purple=Slanesh Green= Nurgle Blue=Tzeen Also her armor would have been more revealing if she was serving Slanesh.
XD That sounds awesome. Gotta see a clip of that.
That sounds both terrifying yet hilarious
For a short explanation the weird tornado thing you saw is called the great vortex its in the middle of ulthuan the high elves place, the vortex is created by the elves to siphon excess magic from the mortal world to lessen demon incursions and mutations so it is very important for everyone 😅
To add on to that: Without the great vortex, the mortal world would have been consumed by chaos ages ago. There's a bunch of the most powerful high elven archmages to ever exist, trapped inside that vortex, forced to keep the ritual up for eternity.
@@nesnahprotsdam yeah their fate trap inside the vortex for eternity is very sad 😭
And if the vortex fails everyone go bye bye
I had no idea that the Ogres stomachs were built different like that xD
If only they worked as intended. The Old Ones were really shit at creating species.
Wait..... Ogres can do that? Where is that stated? I wanna read it.
Next time on "Finish the Quote, Wesley."
Ogres is unfinished creations
He wields the Hammer of Harry, anti-undead hammer.
skarbarand walking to a early grave by stepping up to gotrek (and felix).
Pro Lore tip: Dwarfs and Elfs super hate each other in this setting
Well the elves had to elf and made the dwarves hate them XD
fun fact for that trailer with thewoman hunting with her bear friend, she wandered into Khorne's domain, and if you look slightly above that tower you can see Khorne himself looking back at you
the guy at 34:33 is Archaon, the Everchosen. a man from the Empire, who fell to Chaos, eventually proving himself to all four Chaos Gods and becoming their Chosen warrior in the mortal realm, he is the one that is chosen to lead the forces of Chaos and bring about the End Times
The Legit weebs: we’re still going?
Warhammer veterans: YOUR’E DAMN RIGHT WE ARE!!
Kinda amazing you just guess the little demons as nurglings because that is their name 😂
Also kugath plague father the big green guy in the chair is also a nurgling before that falls inside nurgles cauldron and evolve to become a great unclean one which is the greater daemon of nurgle😮
Ogres are probably the happiest race in Fantasy WH. Cus they love to eat and there is a lot of eating coming

You should Watch the Daemon Prince Gameplay overview. Super funny and you'll understand why we call the Daemon Prince Daniel.
Will put it on the list!

EDIT: Oh goodness me why was this so long
Don't worry about the length XD. Always interesting to read about all these details I wouldn't have learned otherwise.
"why would the human factions fight each other?" ya might as well ask that to IRL humans XD greed, faith, envy, resiurces etc. List goes on xd
I do ask that about irl humans actually lol. It's stupid, but it is what it is.

This is late, but the name Daniel in Hebrew means, "God is my judge", which is the perfect name for a warhammer demon.
Interesting. Both funny and fitting at the same time lol
nah, vilitch doing the most devious shit, bro pulled out “surprise fool.” and just appeared an army 😂
Fun fact in the immortal empires campaign they put all the evil things in the empire of man so they don’t have a great starting position as you are constantly beset on all sides and they have only made this worse by adding more chaos factions into the area
I guess it's a lore accurate start? Lol
@@TheLegitWeebs not really, in the lore it’s not so bad as to have half the empire counts gone in a few turns by the vampires and festus
It's also the oldest nation in the setting.(CA and GW had to add a lot of fluf to get it actual lore instead of one paragraph.)
The Ogre Kingdoms are a number of wandering tribes led by Over Tyrant Greasus Goldtooth and Skragg the Slaughterer they are cursed by an endless hunger that they can and will eat everything even other people.

I would argue: Gotrek is the real doomguy. Dude just won't die xD
To quote him from Realmslayers:
"I fought Chaos Dragons and Lich Kings!
Who knows, they might immediately fake us out with a whole new design or something.
Vilitch is a cool one
33:03 they are the warriors of chaos that have taken the mark of their respective gods and fight for their favor.
Azazel - Daemon prince of slaanesh
Festus the leechlord - Daemonkin of nurgle
Vilich the curseling - Daemonkin of tzeentch
Valkia the bloody- Daemonkin of khorne
They are the humans that are most favored by the gods becoming a half daemon half human.

Valkia is the bane of my existence when playing as Vilitch
the bigger map doesnt make games that much longer
at a certain point your empire is just the biggest
so no matter what the ai does you can just have more stuff and flood their lands with numbers
at a certain amount of turns you dont fight many battles, you just flood the world in blood
Makes sense
I'm pretty sure the demons are mostly the same between fantasy and 40k, to the point that a lot of the models can just be interchangeable between each tabletop game. XD
In older variants you also were able to get chaos marines in fantasy ^^
So, one of the cool things about the Chaos Dwafs is that the giant mech you commented on is literally made by enslaving a daemon and forgong it into shape, using the puter metal almost as a shell to both have it retain its form because it was ripped from the Chaos Realms before it could get one, but also so that it follows the orders of the Dwarfs via special runes on the metal.
That's really cool. I think a group of Chaos Space Marines from 40k also does something similar, but from what I know of the Chaos Dwarfs this tech makes a lot of sense.
This game is bloody expensive but i enjoy playing it because i can play as the stinky chonky and green demons😂
Also if your curious the bird is named kairos fateweaver a greater daemon of tzeench but kairos is unique among the other tzeench greater demons because he have 2 heads one can see the past and the other can see the future but he is blind to the present😮
You could react to cody bonds noob guides he goes in depth with every lord in the game including their lore and mechanics
Welcome to the Warhammer World. War is everywhere, and the battle is just getting STARTED.
And trust me, it ALL comes back around eventually.
imortall empires got 280 factions and if you bought every dlc and game you have acces to all of them but know that each faction has three goals they can achieve to win a game
1 a short game victory deafting nearby foes and conquering a certain amount of settlements
2 a long game victory deafting a bigger pool of enemys and have a larger raquirements of conquering settlements
3 world domination (can be thru diplomancy or thru total conquest)
know when i say conquer i dont mean you just gotta take over becaus some factions dont have settlements and just need to raze and destroy citys these destroyed citys can be taken again
Yes, the small baby-like Nurgle daemons are literally called nurglings.
In Kislev the guns have guns
Double the firepower?
31:00 Ah yes, red deamon with fire weapon, classic slannesh
lmao
6:30 Fun fact, that image of Khorne looming over the entire castle in the background? That is the first time a Chaos God has ever been directly depicted in anything. Otherwise they are only ever described or represented by one of their Greater Demons.
It's genuinely impressive how huge the world map is and feels. You could spend anywhere from 20 to 100 hours on a sandbox campaign and there's near a hundred factions to play.
That's actually insane. I'm so curious how I'd feel about the game itself. It sounds like something I could spend several months or even years in xD.
(Or try CDkeys for a massive bargain)
If you enjoy it and end up getting 3, well you've just gotten some of the best races because you bought 2.
Most likely built by the chaos dwarfs
yes total warhammer 3 imortal empires map is the biggest gaming map based on scale to get from one end to the other it takes 8 hours
imortal empires short campaign vicorys can last to max of 5 hours (without battle time taking into acount)
imortal empires long victory can last between 8 - 12 hours
immortal empires world domination speed runs is at 18 hours minimal world record
The scale of the game is just downright impressive. I can already see how many hours you'd lose to this game if you were super into it.
I've read comments that talked about how Malice was cast aside for copyright reasons. I don't remember the specifics though.
Changeling is when you love a bit of the trolling SO much that you and your god now not sure how you`re really looking like
in imortal empires there exist come game ending senarios like a gruge to far for the dwarfs wich spons 8 full armies with late game units outside the strongholds of the main dwarf factions and there also exist similar senarios for the tomb kings the skaven etc and when those senarios activate you are automaticaly at war with them also you can choose wich senarios to activate and in what time frame they would spawn and how much turn before they hasppen you have and can also choose a difficalty from easy to legendary easy the easies wich spons less armies with worse quality units all the way to legendary wich spans 8-9 armies with the best units and monsters the faction possese note its 8-9 per major faction of the end game chrisis race
The woman with horns and spear is khorn's wife.
What?! How did that happen?
@@TheLegitWeebs he fell in love with her after stabing a slanssh deamon prince, and after said deamon prince ambushed her and her trusted bodygurd and kill them, khorn was so angry about the battle he resurected her. Then she kill the deamon prince and using his head as a shild. she his like a valkery but more badass.
It's funny how in the tutorial for TWW3 is the story of Yuri, Prince of Kislev, and it literally just follows the story of Prince Arthas from WC3 when he reaches Northrend
"¿Where's the Doomslayer qhen you Need him?" 😂 😂 😂 i was thinking the same.
56:26 THE HAMMER COMETH!
25:50 the immortal empires is a feat of game development, the turns are much better then they were, and yes there are short term and long term victory conditions so you can play a race for a short time and them a long time if you feel like it or even come back to a camping.
6:30
The shadow of the Blood God himself looks down on the field.
the free for all was so you could get units from other factions and even other races like you can get all special units from khorn in your slanesh comander led army
love the ogres eat till you could eat no more then eat again
3:20 I think his design is based on Rasputin... but I wouldn't know for sure.
To Get the immortal empires you need all three games to play it
I've been told that immortal empires is a pretty good experience overall and worth getting. Will have to save up for the rest of the games.
The red armor is a dead giveaway, although she DOES have a shield made from the still-living head of a Daemon-Prince of Slaanesh...
Tzeentch is so strong he let the other gods destroy his most powerful artifact so the stand a bit of a chance
Dude's just toying with them xD
@@TheLegitWeebs absolutely, thats why it often seams hes losing battles but hes just having fun, he told everyone that khorn is the strongest good so everyone would go and attack him
The changeling?! That little pain in the butt is in fantasy as well as 40k?!
if you mean super-gluing three games together, yeah this might be it, idk how big empire tw is though so idk
Greatest Ogre quote ever: MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!
I mean even if you don't like him you cant deny tzeench was cooking something with the neon lighting, bird magicians and hover boards😅
I love seeing these reactions of people who have a tiny little bit of knowledge about Warhammer and therefore try to make wild guesses... and are always totally off. XD
"Or whatever they have"..... that's going in the book 45:59
I recommend some videos by a TH-camr named enagingbear, he does very cool cinematics using the game's engine. They're pretty short vids, but fun to watch nonetheless.
The Daniel trailer is so much better than his faction in game lol
This man said the bride of Knorne looked Slaanesh like......poor form
Lol good thing I don't live in the Warhammer universe, else that'd be the last mistake I ever made.
@@TheLegitWeebsYou can identify them by the color when in doubt.
Red=khorne
Purple=Slanesh
Green= Nurgle
Blue=Tzeen
Also her armor would have been more revealing if she was serving Slanesh.
49:10 Know that's a fucking trailer.
Chaos dwarf was my favorites
i suggest you to see the videos of Reggie, he plays total warhammer with a funny editing
Pancreas no work is great, close to bricky in term of ratio fact/humor
Anything by arch for an explanation on any warhammer faction
