Replacing Stereo in 2005 Jeep Wrangler TJ

I looked everywhere for a video to explain how to swap out a 2-DIN aftermarket stereo to a 1-DIN in my 2005 Wrangler TJ but couldn’t find one. So I watched a bunch of videos (Dave in Real Life’s video was very helpful!) and figured out how to do it. Now to fill the need for an explanatory video, I decided to make this one.
I replaced a 2-DIN video navigation / stereo system with a 1-DIN Pioneer Carrozzeria DEH-550. I bought the replacement off someone else, so it only came with the wiring harness on the back. Luckily, the wiring systems are pretty much standard, so it was just a matter of unplugging, matching the colors and plugging back in.
The faceplate that I ordered off Amazon was the Scosche CR1277B (Compatible with 1998-07 Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Plymouth) 1 DIN Dash Kit Black (. They also have complete installation kits with new wiring harnesses if you need that.
