"Brother." Dante calls Tu'Shan "Brother." That's normally something only said between members of the same chapter, or at most same legion I have to ask, though, why does Dante use that term? Maybe it's for motivational purpose. Dante must know more about Marine psychology and leadership than even the oldest Chaplains. He might be calling Tu'Shan his brother because he wants to convey that he trusts him, to subtly tell him that he's not alone and give him encouragement to carry on. On the other hand, maybe it's personal. Being Dante, or any chapter master, really, is a lot like being a Primarch. He's got no peers, no friends, he lives every second on a giant pedestal. Maybe he likes Tu'Shan because he knows that, if anyone can understand his struggles and his doubts, it's his glowing-eyed counterpart.
It's actually more common than you think. Marines from different legions and chapters reference each other as "brother" and sometimes "cousin", mainly due to being the same type of human or just trust. In the Horus Hersey books, Dark Imperium, etc.
@@Amatsaru29 The cousin bit I'm familiar with, but that different lineages would call each other bro is news to me. Second their chapters (Salamander and Blood Angel chapters) have been close since the great crusade, likely due to Vulkan and Sanguinius being so close. Dante: Come Tu'shan, lets put chapter ethics aside for the moment, what do you know of the Legion of the Damned?..." Tu'Shan: *keeping his eyes fixed on Dante's, turns his head slightly and raises an eyebrow.*
Dante sees quallity's in Tu'Shan that he values and notes he himself has and had now and in earlier years. Their respect for each other is not out of fondness but a common equality and surety of purpose. Above all Tu'Shan and the Salamanders are like the Blood Angels. Like Dante he has defended his homeworld from destruction. Like Dante he values every common man child and woman in the Imperium. This is the foster father in Dante to his stepson Tu'Shan. They may well have been brothers. What Tu'Shan lacks in experience. Dante will teach. What Dante will not be able to give in years, Tu'Shan will bear. It's a baton pass. A slow grooming of a affectionate, respected old leader to the new generation.
Dante - the most respected chapter master, before the return of primarches I feel that every other chapter master would defer to him in a battlefield situation, after all you have to be a great tactician to survive as long as Dante has. He also wouldn’t try to order them as he would know that wouldn’t work, it would be a strong suggestion and it would incorporate the other chapters preferred style of fighting. When the sad day comes that Dante falls in battle, there will be a honour guard made up of 100s of marines from various other chapters, and considering the doctrine of “no personal glory, only duty” that is saying something. For there will be no other like Dante.
Dante talking with Tu'Shan about his "complacency" for some reason made me remember pre-heresy Horus talking with Loken after the mission where Jubal was possessed and Garviel was saying he had failed the mission
Your videos are brillant I am a secret fan of warhammer and am always listening and reading in my down time about anything 40k your videos are the best by far keep up the good work mate
The Drakes and Angels are great friends. If this story doesn't showcase the limitless respect and trust they have for one another, I don't know what will.

WLR I work nights and your analysis of the black library books and insight into the human side of our Beloved imperium makes the night pass much faster . Well done mate you have found your calling . If you go down the Patron route you will have my support.
Thanks mate that’s nice to hear!
Talking about Salamanders and BA.
Opens with pic of Dark Angle who eventually came back and killed the guardsmen he saved for keeping his word and not betraying Cypher.

I want to see a meeting between Dante, Logan Grimnar, and Marneus Calgar, with maybe some of the others like Tushan, Kayvon Shrike, and Pedro Kantor there as well. Some epic moment of dedication & purpose, perhaps even a meeting of the heirs of the Primarchs vowing to continue the Great Crusade.
I want to see a team up between Uriel Ventris and Ragnar Blackmane, and see how the real t
Ok. You always recommend we read/buy the source material but i'v always just enjoyed listening to you/other WH40k TH-camrs. I'll be honest, i'v even pirated some books but this will be my first ever purchase. I love the Salamanders and i love when chapters interact outside their respective Brothers. Keep up the good work Wolf Lord Rho.
Dante: Come Tu'shan, lets put chapter ethics aside for the moment, what do you know of the Legion of the Damned?..."
Tu'Shan: *keeping his eyes fixed on Dante's, turns his head slightly and raises an eyebrow.*
I’m sorry, I’m still learning… Legion of the Damned? Another name for the traitor legions?
@@Emrald7 think undead space marines who fight for the emperor
@@laughingsnake1989 That’s badass, and because 40K is 40K, I’ll believe it.
How can something be so badass and heartwarming at the same time?
Jes!!!!!! More Vids!!! I dropped everything I was doing just to watch this, I can purge xenos and traitor sum after the vid ;-)
There’s more humour and banter between this group of salamanders then half the space marine chapters
Man i love this format.
Great narrating and great commentary.
Great Work as always Battle Brother 😎 , didn't have time to Comment, Know I am Happy 😎, Continue your Good Work , Ave Imperator 😎!!!!.
I play salamanders and this is rad
I highly do recommend the modern Salamanders books, I've been reading them and it's been a great time reading them
My Fire Bois.
Best 40K characters for the best chapters. Love this
Dante - the most respected chapter master, before the return of primarches I feel that every other chapter master would defer to him in a battlefield situation, after all you have to be a great tactician to survive as long as Dante has.
Gotta say man, your story telling style of lore channel is quite awesome. Love it. Keep it up. Instant subscription.
Absolutely! More chapter master meetings are a must!
Clicked for Dante, ended up staying for Tu'Shan
Astartes being friendly with each other is so refreshing.
I see the same nobility and you and your salamanders as you see in me that's coming from Dante that is an extreme compliment
This was great! Really enjoyed this
VULCAN LIVES!!! *THOMB* *THOMB*
VULKAN IS DEEEAAAAD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
*5 secs later*
VULKAN LIVES *THOMB THOMB*
Thanks Wolf, big salamander Fan and this made my Friday Epic. So awsome!
My first and my second chapters, thanks for bring it for someone who can't have teh books!
Your videos are brillant I am a secret fan of warhammer and am always listening and reading in my down time about anything 40k your videos are the best by far keep up the good work mate
Didn't want to do the famous "Salamander Voice" eh?
I'm starting to really enjoy these nowadays. Keep up the good work mate.
The Drakes and Angels are great friends. If this story doesn't showcase the limitless respect and trust they have for one another, I don't know what will.
I think that the biggest sign of respect is that Dante removed his helm. It is said that he never takes it off except inside the Fortress Monastery on Baal
We need a get together of Dante , Tu'shan, Grimnar or Ulrik. Crack open a case of Fenrisian ale and go on a hunt. I can just imagine the face of the Inquisitor who reads that report lol
In this case they will hunt a daemon prince... or two just for the lols
@@EderReis And all the while riding Carnifex's as war mounts. Why you ask? Cause they can.
Definitely MORE Salamanders and Blood Angels stories
Calgar was also on Armageddon with Dante and Tu'Shan. It is a Sanguinius and Vulkan thing to just Hug people Dorn and Jaghatai are not huggers but got hugged anyway. A solid wrist grasp is tame for these two chapters meeting.
Tu'shan' lives!!! Dum, dum dum.
Always pumped when I see two of my favorite Legions broing out! Hail to the Regent of Imperial Nihlus!
I honestly love the Chaptermasters interactions with each other as much as I do the Primearch interactions with their brothers.
This is a great one thanks for sharing mate, keep it up
Dante, Tu'shan and Grimnar walk in for a drink.....Sounds like a best story in Warhammer 40k I could've ever imagine, and the most fun one at that
Another great video man the way you do these readings is so cool really glad I found your channel. Keep up the good work buddy
Thanks!
What I love about the salamanders is that what the rest of the galaxy even their fellow astartes chapters call volcanic death world's they call a nice vacation. Just the most 'straya' energy ever
Just asking, haven’t read much of the books
Do all space marines bro-hug when they meet someone from another chapter?
No
I am a Blood Angels player/lore enthusiast. I am glad to hear Dante can enjoy life outside of battle. Also I now like, like Salamanders. Great to see both chapter masters are friends
Leave it to the salamanders to find the time to get a bad breath joke in. Honestly if any chapter deserves my blessing they would be it.
