- Hail! Wolf Lord Rho here,
Following Vulkans' return to Terra and his reunion with his brother Rogal Dorn, Primarch of the Imperial Fists. We move on to his next meeting... The Emperor of Mankind. And the ultimate reason for his return...

The Emperor literally bringing his son back from the dead "iM nOt a GOd"
Our God emperor is too humble to accept himself as God
@@MG-yc6jr Now read that sentence again, slooowly
@@evropaawake4421 written as intended
I find many parallels between the Emperor and the Changing God from the Numenera narrative. I believe Vulkan has Old One gene stock. That is why he is a perpetual.
@@MG-yc6jr surely you mean man-emperor?
A conversation between Vulkan and Sanguinius with both knowing Sanguinius was going to his death would be a heart rending conversation given that they both would gladly give up their lives to protect humanity.
The Emperor clearly used up all his compassion in the creation of these two brothers.
I'd be happy with any new Vulkan lore.
What about Corvus?
Anton Nyström
Corax is up there but is a little more aloof. Sangy and Vulkan would give you a bear hug, Corax would give you a side hug
@@_Cato_ picturing the side hug made me chuckle thank you lol
Thats some greek tragedy levels of irony, that Vulkan is the most loving/caring of the Primarchs and yet he is the only one that possesses the ability to create a great doomsday weapon
Yet fitting, for he'd be the only one that would NEVER use it without absolute need.
The emperors design
Lol the dude is a genocidal maniac like the rest of his brothers nothing humane about him.
@@messithegoat7178 not many of them are genocidal maniacs as you claim but you must have brain damage or you are just a heretic.
@@messithegoat7178 lmao vulkan hated when his brother kurze did genocidal acts. And its for the greater good he kills(not the tau one). He actually wants to be a farmer not a warrior
“Hello dadboy friend.”
Vulcan is one of the most underrated primarchs. Also u had me at " loyalist KONRAD????!!!" Oh boy
I know right! 😂
Richard Valdes - Rasmussen I love this idea.
@@wolflordrho Konrad was the one who got the shortest stick in terms of combination of "lateral gifts" and "tutoring of use by the Emperor". Magnus got the full tutorial, Vulkan had some assistance or whatnot, but dog gamnit, Konrad, poor poor Konrad, all he ever wanted was a proper world with proper justice, not having to become the most terrifying version of Batman that a Drow Elf society could fathom - on top of seeing all the future, all the time. If only papa Emps had spent some considerate amount with Konrad, teaching him, mentoring him, he could become a true Paragon of Justice and use his gift in a proper way, to shape and mould, not through fear, but by law and order. Konrad's image should be next to the "Bad parenting" entry in a dictionary. Now that Emps is a bit in play again, oh yes, I can only imagine the face of Bobby G meeting a loyalist Night Haunter, heading a host of loyal primaris 8th legion marines to meet his brother in Ultramar.
This could be even better than having Roboute meet Omegon and having that little "we did it because Cabal" talk.
@@mcsniper180 white marble armour with black and blue cracks. Flaming lighting claws to match the Emperor's blade.
@@PhilipAlexanderHassialis the emperor was strapped for time sadly, he thought he could solve all the imperiums problems after the crusade. little did he know he couldn't even trust his own sons.
"A purified Night Haunter" The galaxy would shiver at the thought. Konrad was the ace in the hole if played wisely. This is in my opinion one of the emperors greatest errors. Konrad was full of so much potential, even compared to his brother primarchs. If kurze only had an upbringing like corax, the lord of the blood angels would truly be avenged. Konrad cared for him the most.
@maltheri9833 Konrad could have mastered his powers of foresite with the Emperor's help. Effectively being able to predict the future. That ability in a fight is priceless. Then tack on dude was a insane close quarters fighter on par with the Lion himself. That's a wrap. The Night lords possessed some of the most elite shock troops in the Imperium, the leader of which was Sevatar. The best fighter in all the Imperium on par with Sigismund.
@theganjacologist2819 Lucian, Kharn, Raldaron, Abaddon would all beat Sevatar. One of the worst captains
The Emperor brings Vulkan back to life.
Ferrus Manus: “Am I a joke to you?”
Was Ferrus Manus' body recovered in Istvaan?
@@eltonjohntubola3212 Not that I remember. His corpse was looted and pulled apart by the Chaos Marines and cultists who took pieces of him as trophies.
Vulkan: "Shut your not-face, brainghost Ferrus! You are not friend."
Yes definitely.
Sanguinius: bird man noises

Just in case you haven't already found it by now, or for anyone else wondering, the title of the piece is called, "Children of the Omnissiah", from the video game OST album of _Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus,_ by Guillaume David.

The conversation between Corax and the Emperor after the Isstvaan massacre is much better in my opinion. Also in that conversation Corax feels even love of a sorts from the Emperor. Also Corax is the first (and maybe only) Primarch to whom the Emperor actually tells himself about the true nature of Chaos and Daemons. It is in the book "Deliverance Lost".
The Emperor "You where ever my greatest and most cherished son....Angron"
Is this a real quote? Lol
@Chaos Undivided it didn't seem like an Emperor sentiment
"...what have they done to you...?" -The Emperor's actual first words to Angron
Malcador was asking what he wanted on his sandwich
Entertain yourself with this: What if the Aquila is actually a Phoenix. Why does the Emperor adorn himself with golden eagles & flames? Perpetuals are reborn when they die. What is the perfect symbol for the Great Crusade? The re-emergence of mankind from the ashes of the Dark Age. Why did he name Fulgrim’s legion His Children? Why did he allow them the honor of bearing the Palantine Aquila? Where else does the iconography of the phoenix appear?
More so with this: What about the perfect clone of Fulgrim that Fabius Bile made, who is remorseful of what the original did and seems to be loyal to the Emperor? He's still around, just within Trashy the Incompetent's museum as he was traded for Emperor's Children's geneseed. Remember that the Laer blade is what made Fulgrim fall, he didn't know it had a daemon that lied and lead him astray against his better judgment as his subconscious. He didn't really want to kill Ferrus Manus, his most beloved brother, but the blade literally forced him to do it and possessed him in the resulting anguish, helping him fall even further to where he is now.
Just imagine if the clone broke out, raising up from the ashes of the real Fulgrim to rejoin the Imperium and fight his damned hardest to repent on what he did. Most certainly aiming to avenge Manus by going after the real Fulgrim or his fallen legion. I mean, there are primaris marines who do have his geneseed stock with one blatantly having the word 'Phoenix' in it's name. A true phoenix rising from the ashes to burn brightly as before, maybe more so as mankind needs more light in these dark times.
Because Aquila is Latin for eagle and we’d have to ignore the history of empires like Russian and German/Holy Roman Empire using the symbol. It’s simply not a Phoenix and simply the imperial eagle being an old symbol for empires.
Eldrad: "A megaweapon that will deal a blow Chaos will never recover from, you say ? Lets get you plenty of psykers so we can make that psychic boom nice and cataclysmic. What are you standing around for ? Your Emperor is starving"
I imagine the Emperor's feelings towards his Primarchs is similar to a scientist's towards his greatest brainchild. He knows it could be used for either glorious good or horrific evil. "I am become death, the destroyer of worlds".
That quote is a bit literal if you ask Inquisitor Kryptman
Oppenheimer knew exactly what he was doing and what it would lead to.
I believe that neoth truly loves his children but not more that the purpose for which they were created. Remember he is still human. He could have dusted horus at any moment but was still hoping beyond hope to save him
Oppenheimer could have stopped if he felt that bad about it.
He just said that because it was some cold shit to say right after you drop a star bomb.
You deserve more subs, man. I only found your channel today. This is the hardest part I imagine for any creator but don't give up. You've got a talent. Thanks for the content
J Robinson Seconded!!!
Agreed. It's great to hear parts of the lore and like Luetin he has a pleasent voice just made for narrating. I also completely share his view that the Emperor is more humane than depicted in some books and that he does care about his sons.

u got me hooked.
Another great video, wow. Like a father the Emperor treats each of his sons differently, because they are different from each other. The glimpses of the Emperors humanity even in dire times. Keep these videos coming!!!
I really enjoy these glimpses of the Emperor talking with his Primarchs. Thanks for the support!
And it was all a show.
Some of these stories make me tear up!
My hunch is he could only bring back Vulkan because of his perpetual ability, somehow reactivating it.
The cabal made jon grammaticus into a perpetual. It seems truely powerful psykers can just load the last save on people. The emperor could have been the one to grant it to him in the first place.
Randall Koskubar interesting thought actually
Randall Koskubar should have just made Angron a perpetual and just ripped his brain and nails out and let em heal lol
He even said when asked about the other dead primarchs "I'll have to fix that when I have time" he can bring them all back to life... all bar horus...
You're right about the truly powerful psychers
There's a scene in a book where mephiston considers bringing a dead pilot back to life but doesn't because it's considered heresy
Alpharius was right, the Emperor was willing to secrafice Terra to strike a blow on Chaos.
It's not like dozens of planet are exterminate each days because of chaos invasion... terra lost would be worth the death of on or two chaos gods.
Lol? Alpharius was ready to scarifice the ENTIRE HUMAN RACE so he could strike a blow to chaos that wasnt even guaranteed would kill them for good.

All the Primarchs are effectively immortal, they're forged of warp stuff. Whatever type of entity they are I'd bet all the money in my pockets vs all the money in yours that the "Dead" ones lost their physical forms but are "alive" in the warp in some fashion like when you destroy a daemons physical form.
Explains Sanguinius talking to Dante, the shit show that is BATCorax hunting Lorgar, explains wiping the two lost primarchs from history. Their true names if I'm right would have power, can't have random unsanctioned warp spawn running loose and gathering followers/believers. The Primarchs seem more than anything to be like the old Eldar Gods to me. Purpose made manipulations of the Warp for specific tasks. Maybe Big E knows even more about the Eldar than he let's on.
Pot and Politics With Mr. Brophy
Tell that to Ferrus.
@@kelman727 or perhaps that weird manifestation of his rage that almost damned them...
Hmmmm this is an interesting theory
Like the Eldar's Gods, they can be killed if their physical body and warp soul is destroyed.
It's particulary difficult to destroy a soul but if it is dispersed in the warp and forgoten in the materium, the soul can no longer form back.

With a couple exceptions, most of the primarchs the emperor favors are the most human of them.
I think Vulcan stayed behind at the Golden Throne as a last resort to trigger the Cataclysm
At least I have this to keep me company while my Mind wanders the warp.
Great video about my favourite primarch. I don't always have the chance to read some of these books but I love these little snippets that no one else tends to cover.

This channel is right up there with leutin in my opinion. Keep the amazing content coming man.
It was only during the Heresy that The Emperor came to care for his sons, referring to them by name rather than number.
"Bad father." ~ Rogal Dorn (TTS version)
Tragedies often have a way of bringing people, families, and friends together. Helping them to realize what they've been taking advantage of and what they had until it was gone.
Sadly it took the HH for the Emperor to realize that he should've been a better father, if he realizes it or not idk, but I hope he did.
Greate gem of a channel love it !!!
Vulkan. My most favorite Primarch. Compassion and Destruction personified. He would have been a great leader of the Imperium.
Just found your channel. Love your videos! I'm a huge warhammer fan and lore snippets like these are my bread and butter.
Hey I just subbed and you're up to 4.9k! Congrats man! Keep up the stellar work.
I love the interactions between the Emperor and his sons but the Primarchs interactions with Malcador is just as amazing. Some have a great deal of respect for him, whereas some see themselves as better than him and aren't very polite to him. Interesting that those that show respect became the loyalists, with exception of Magnus, and the disrespectful ones became traitors.
I love that the emperor would design Vulcan with the capacity to create things of such destruction but without the will to use them. How easy it would have been for him to give that capacity to someone like Rogal Dorn or all the primarchs but what that would cost.
Also I prefer to think its related to whatever makes him a perpetual that allowed the emperor to resurrect Vulcan. I'm sure there are hundreds of otherways to bring the other primarchs back if GW so wish though.
Dorms not that great an example here we’re talking of a man that wraps himself in his adoptive grandfathers cloak to better think on happier times dorn is a shield someone that will do what it take to win but won’t go crazy with it he is still very human

It's implied in one of the short stories (the one where Malcador and the Emperor play Regicide right before Horus arrives) that the Emperor will resurrect Ferus Manus. Malcador gets angry and breaks the Ferus playing piece, and the Emperor picks it up and says "I may have to fix that someday, if I have time".
The Board is Set is that short story
Great channel man
i love your channel
I feel like wholesale resurrection of the Primarchs may ruin the integrity of the story.
To bring back Ferrus, we have to undo the sheer impact that had on the Iron Hands and on Fulgrim.
To resurrect Sanguinius we would write off his sacrifice.
I worry that some lazy writing may follow.
Vulkan returning makes perfect sense, some characters must remain dead to maintain the integrity of the lore
True. I'd settle with a more humane and caring Emperor in future lore, no need to rewrite the history of this universe. I would like to see Magnus return to the loyalist fold, however. That is entirely plausible. Perhaps helping his father with his psychic might by taking his place on the Golden Throne and that way redeeming himself and his legion.
Yes! Their death furthers the story.
I would give anything to see sanguinius restored.. but they can't do it... it literally undermines the entire ten thousand year journey of the blood angels
All the stories... all the challenges and sacrifices...
It would cheapen the entire legion :(
I wish he would come back... but hope it never happens...
@@koriuk5032 it depend on how well written it is most of the good part of dark imperium is about how papa murf deal with the cult and his brother, we barely see the inpact on the murf react to papa murf return.

Can you do videos on the tyranid invasion. I dont recall which novels cover the arrival of the bugs.
I would love a small retcon where Vulkan promises his father that he will guard the golden throne while Malcador sits upon it. I would like a scene where he is being an absolute beast defending the throne/palace while his brothers and father board the Vengeful spirit.
I need to point out, Malcador most definitely acting a mother role for the Primarchs. He is always concerned for them, always showing the love of the Emperor for his sons..
He's more the fun uncle
Ok can I get some explanations? This new power the throne gained. Was it like some sort of mega doomsday protocol. That if the emperor dies it goes off. But if that were the case when he left the throne would that not have set it off ?
It appears to be some kind of doomsday protocol yes. I'm guessing we will find out more in the upcoming novels.
It was first referenced in the Grey Knight codex. Google ‘the terminus decree.’ This was how it was created.

I imagine one of the reasons the Emperor could revive Vulcan might be because he is a perpetual. Perhaps that is fundamentally so different from the other Primarchs, whose souls can be destroyed. Or, unless the soul is completely destroyed or "taken" by one of the chaos gods the Emperor can collect their souls for safekeeping in some way upon death, since it seems to be hinted at that upon creating the primarchs he gave them smaller fragments of his various traits, or his essence similar to how every Greater Demon is connected to their patron god. So maybe he can sort of collect some of them for safekeeping, like he seemed to do with Roboute, though his situation seemed a bit unique.
Sanguinous's defense of the gate has to be ten times more epic than Coraxs battle in Raven flight
loyalist Konrad Curze… But Konrad was always true to himself and never waivered
And Insane could his 'madness' be fixed if he was resurrected.

I think even the Emperor can be moved by humanity: act a weapon, be seen as a weapon, act a hero, be treated as such, act with compassion, be seen with humanity, act with malice, be met with such.
