- We will fix that pesky crossmember issue with our frame so we can get it all back together and send it to paint.

Isn't it great when your kids learn the trade? I restore old houses and recently my 6 year old daughter fixed a loose drawer pull in our kitchen better than I did (no idea how she did it, the screw was broken!)... Brought a tear to my eye. When I see your apprentice I wonder if I'll have a young learner in ten years or so.
It is! She is so smart, this is the one thing I can teach her instead of her teaching me. lol It is amazing what you can accomplish when you don't have any idea that it is not supposed to be easy or even possible and that is the life of the young.
You do amazing work. Wow and Wow I also want to thank U for explaining the faces U put on tape to focus. Simple Ingenious. U teach us how to work better smarter and efficiently both on the vehicles and behind the camera. Not much gets left on the editing room floor. You are a talented tech. Not all people in the trade, can have their family involved. Good for you daughter to not worry about getting dirty. I could never get my daughter as involved. She is learning things that will take her somewhere in life. Using hands and learning from such a good tech as yourself. Maybe a new project where you actually show buying the wreck that she wants as her car, and showing the steps with her as involved in her own project. Great work, have watched every one of you builds.

@@vehcor Very much appreciate your work. I have been in the trade for a long time. Insurance appraiser and a tech. I have seen lots of cars and lots of techs. I have written off a number of vehicles over the years too (I mean as work). You are among some of the best that I have seen. With the advent of this format, it allows someone like you to explain your work and how to go about things. Not sure how you have any spare time though. As an idea, you could show what the actual appraisal or total loss estimate is that you get with your wreck, and then show your work, saving labor, and how you are able to rebuild the vehicle at a savings. I have been rebuilding my own vehicles for many many years. Thanks for the voice and appreciate that you follow up!

To be honest, I avoided it all day. lol I did everything else until I had to replace that crossmember. It is not that it is hard, it just makes the easy parts transfer job a little more technical and I have to use my brain. lol Thanks for the support!

The frame is coated from the factory, the fuel lines and pump are not.

So a quick frame & fender swap, along with a paint job. Stuff that would take me a month or so, takes you (& the afternoon crew) a weekend or so...NICE WORK!

blue point makes a cut off wheel the spins both directions. when I found that out I had to buy it. so nice to be able to choose where you shoot your sparks.

Another awesome video! I did indeed sell my Avalanche and Yukon. I now have a 2012 Escalade EXT. Some videos of that are on the way. As usual I’m super impressed with the amount of work you’ve done on this project! Keep it going! I really want to see how you rust proof the truck. I’m guessing you’re going to use wax, but I’ve never seen it done. I want to do the same on my truck before winter comes.
Nice job selling the trucks that quick! The big stuff to rustproof is the door seams, rockers and wheel arches. That is where most of the problems start on any vehicle. Looking forward to your new views on the Escalade!

Also, you do a better job than dealership body shops. My brother crashed his Silverado SS and the hood never lined up quite right and gaps were different (passenger to driver) they had that thing for 2 months and did a spotty job.
I hear and see stories like that all too often. People just don't take pride in their work anymore!

The amount of rust on the driveshaft that starts at 13:53 is just jaw dropping for a 1 year old vehicle. I've heard of the damage salting roads in America does to vehicles. I might expect that level for a ten year old car here in New Zealand.
It takes one season of salt to destroy a car around here. NZ is like our south, vehicles last much longer.
