    Sticky stuff under the seats, removed. Sticky stuff now applied to side of vehicle. Found another use for my little scanner. Fixing what the factory and the last techs missed. A build overview and of course a little trolling on my part! All this in the final video of our Yukon formerly known as the Yuckon!

    Boy I can tell you one thing for sure, I’d be honored to own a vehicle you’ve repaired. I’d trust your work for a million miles, I can’t believe you do so much extra to make a vehicle better than it was from the factory. You’re one of those people who care about your workmanship, and it shows. Cheers man!

      @@vehcor Apologies for the late comment but I just stumbled across this channel. You can get replacement badges from eBay for cheap. I've got a used Tahoe PPV and that badge was completely worn to shit on mine. The eBay one worked perfectly - hardest part was having to remove that cover that stays in front of the air bag. Excellent work in your videos.

    The fact is, you make a habit of allowing the purchaser drive a vehicle that is not going to be needing anything but gas and oil under regular driving habits, none of these "it will need this or that" as you discover it needed new brake pads or whatever. That alone speaks about how you view a rebuild project.....make it worthwhile, have integrity and can make the money you deserve. Lovely work, and thoroughly enjoy watching how the parts are properly dealt with as they come out and reinstalled.

      This will be the 9th vehicle this family has purchased from me and they still have all but one. I do a lot of repeat and referral business. To skill, a comprehensive knowledge of automotive construction & repair and of automobile auctions, experience, and a collection of the right tools, add a shop with a lift and an adequate storage area, enough cash to finance projects and confidence in your own abilities, and the result is Vehcor. Anyone who might have been a doubter is now fully converted by these videos, and, as am I, convinced that these projects are both doable and profitable if you have the "right stuff," which includes both the determination and proven ability to succeed. Next time I'm feeling tense I'll have to remember that ball joint removal tip. A big hammer and some frustration! You can tell when a guy has done a few of these when he orders the part before he scans the system! Great job on this rebuild as always. If our customers saw what all we do to the rebuild cars they wouldn't haggle on the prices we ask!!

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just watch the fender when you are swinging the hammer. lol Some people still want to haggle after they see the videos. It usually doesn't get them anywhere. I have been know to actually raise the price after the haggling starts and still make the sale at a higher price. When it is all said a done, I usually inform those people that it can hurt to ask. lol

    Great videos as always, they are pragmatic and emphasis quality work.
    The distinction between an engine and motor is simple. An engine creates the power within (an internal combustion engine) vs. a motor, which receives its power from an external source (an electrical or hydraulic motor). A Pontiac Firebird has an engine (to go) and a motor to wiper the windshield. A Tesla has many motors (propulsion, wiper, A/C, cooling, etc.).

    LOL, never even knew there was a motor/engine debate until recently, when someone mentioned it in the comments of a Wes video, (I think he disagrees with you) - but I am not from the US.
    Same with torque spec of wheel lugs. Have been around mechanics and my father worked in a garage of most of his life - never saw anyone use a torque wrench, and no wheels flying off.
    Maybe some of the exotic cars that use some kind of alloy nuts had specs, but we were never that fancy.

    Hi there, it's Ben here from South Africa , I like the work and effort you do to the vehicles that you work on, it makes me believe that there is still good 2nd hand vehicles out there, enyway I'd like to ask you a quistion, I have seen a lot of you macanics there in America using cordless inpact wrench and ratchets, is working, and which make is a good but less expensive to bay. Keep up the good work.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try to make sure my vehicles are as good as new or better. There are still some good builders out there. I'm not a huge fan of cordless tools but they are handy. They are all pretty much equal, I have used them all. I like the Bauer driver and the Milwaukee impacts the best for the money. The Earthquakes I use have gone up in price but are just as good as the Milwaukee. Thanks for watching.

    I don't Know why, but i'd love to see you rebuild a totaled Durango between 2015-17. Of the newer Durango's I love their body style, Aside from the first Gen's which are my favorite among them all. Great Video as always V, Can't wait to see what other projects you have in store.

    • @BlackLocustPatriot

      Yep! My dad had a first gen Durango SLT Plus, and it was absolutely gorgeous. His first wife wrecked it driving over three driveways at 50 mph in the dark. But yeah, the newest Durangos look really nice, albeit in a different way.

    • @vehcor
      @vehcor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Of all the generations of Durangos, 2015 era would be my favorite. If a buyer wants one, I would be more than happy to build one. Thanks for the support!

    I will say in the south, I have seen that wax once it gets hot, run out of the drip out the drain holes. Sometimes the wax when melting would attract dust/dirt, leaves and block the drain holes.
