    Wow, that was a perfect spot! And all those rocks! It's heaven on earth! And if you are a lapidary or knows someone who is, that spot just takes on an even cooler factor of x10! Great video and beautiful views! With a campsite like that, and no others around, and nobody rockhounding but you! I wouldn't ever leave until every rock has been turned over! Thanks guys! Who wants to head to Canada with me? ❤

      We really need to make some stops at rock clubs to see if we can cut some slabs in trade for a donation. You're so right about what is inside that jade and serpentine.
      👋👋👋👋 That's us raising our hands to go with you to Canada! 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 We are already itching to go again. We'd go right back to the Fraser without a doubt.

    Western Canada is just one great view after another, only no cooking with Charlie this video, just the finished meal😃

      It really is. We were actually pretty blown away by the endless forests. We'll film some more cooking. Don't you worry! 🤣

    Hey guys! Thanks for giving Ray and I a laugh at the beginning of the video when you told us about the sign you missed on that road! That old bridge is incredible. As we were watching I asked Ray, why did they build that- considering it was built before cars- then you answered my question! Thanks Liz! Loved the rock hounding! That big specked green and white rick was gorgeous after Liz got it wet! Thanks for the lesson on Jade too!
    By the way if I haven’t told you before- we love your quotes at the end of your videos! Safe travels guys!

      Thanks guys! Next time we go we'll have to bring out the gold pans. See what all the hype was about back in the day. It seems there's still some good panning there.

      Thank you. There's much to love about Canada. We could put down roots up there. Winters would probably have us regretting it though.

    Me again. I chuckled watching you look for rocks. Reminded me of me.... am from MO (sedmentary land). I didn't know what to look for and carried home so many rocks that the wheels on my tundra were spraddled like a cartoon. Just rocks, nothing that I couldn't have bought for a fraction of my cost at the landscaper's. However, they all bring memories of my trips. Enjoy

    So beautiful as always in Canada's woods ! The bridge was so nice and fun. The views from the bridge looking down the river is awesome ! Like the rocks at your campsite, 32:15 is very pretty. The crazy 4x4 road didn't work out but the campsite yous picked is nice with all them rocks and on the river😊

    Wow it was great to see the old bridge, and the rock hounding spot was awesome. I can't believe you all didn't take a dip there, at 91 degrees.

      It was so inviting, but the Fraser River is pretty mighty. We didn't feel safe enough to get more than our feet in.

    Awesome bridge!! These views you're sharing with us are just incredible!! Another place I could live 🙂 Good thing you guys didn't get too far up that wild hill and something bad happened. Decent camping spot you guys had. Thanks for sharing the epic views. Pretty nice rocks for sure on the gravel bar. Take care my friends and fart on!

      We're always think that too as we go through places. "We could live here!" LOL! This part of Canada definitely fits the bill. Cost of living is high though. Thanks for watching. Hope you're enjoying a long weekend. Fart on!

    Love the road sign there, definitely a road for you two! Frasier river is so pretty, what a place! Nice place to camp, besides the tower, crazy. Beautiful common opal with mica and feldspar, pretty. Crazy how much smoke there is, it's was super smokey here in MI forever with all the forest fires up there. Love the rocks around the baby tree! Beautiful bridge that's awesome and cool to walk a crossed seeing through it. That's a crazy bridge! Cool how they have cell service everywhere! I was guessing 1920s, that's so old, wow, wow! Cool history too. I love going down river looking for gravel bars! Gorgeous piece of jasper, red and yellow! Cool spot to park river side too! Nice of you two to clean up the shore too. Interesting puddingstones there, I love how each area has its own style. Beautiful porphyry rocks too! Amazing views all around, what a great place to explore and experience. Love the epidote in that one, how cool! Dinner looked good too!

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Nic! The cell service was pretty decent in most areas, but our cell provider limited our data so much it would become unusable pretty quickly. Good thing the libraries let us in to work despite not being Canadian residents. We learned a lot on this run through Canada. Next time will go even smoother.

      @TheAdventureCloset that's awesome, I never thought about traveling up there before, so I find it so cool that you two are exploring up there. I always figured anywhere in the US, but why have limits!

    Thanks for another fun video. I liked the old bridge, both as an engineering marvel but also for the views from it. I don’t know if I would have been able to cross it-definitely not if I looked down. 🤣

    • @TheAdventureCloset

      Parts of it might have been from the 30's. It's a franken-bridge now. lol!

    I wonder... How does one 'deactivate' a road? Is there a lever or switch or something? hahaha
    The well equipped 4x4 Opal.. hmm maybe not :P Love the bridge! I'd fly there with my drone for as long as the batteries could hold. River + bridge = magnificent footage :P

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! A lever would much cooler. Around our home state they get deactivated by morons that dump garbage on them.
      That spot would have been awesome with the drone, but we didn't have it with us. Darnit!

    That is a old scary bridge , you really didnt give me enough time to guess the age of the bridge ,quicker than some of my stud or dud calls , and theres no way im going across that bridge in a car , thats some good rocks to go through , best rockhounding spot in a while , the jade whisperer really cool finds , thanks

    I think that one stone penolite 🤷🏻‍♂️ think I saw that on Dan Hurd. I don’t think I’m spelling it right and I’m only like 75% but I think that’s it. Some type of porphyry I think 🤔 I’d be panning if I was there! 😂 not sure what the legalities are… I think lots of the area is claimed. I’m not sure how that works

    • @TheAdventureCloset
      @TheAdventureCloset  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We learned a lot of what we know of the Fraser from Dan. We've never been much for gold, but there's still is a lot of places you can pan in the Fraser. Just looked it up and you're right on the porphyry. We hear people call it flower stone in that area because the feldspar inclusions are more flower like. Pretty stuff.
