For student Asian meal, I would suggest cup noodle with crab stick and eggs(microwave a bit together and after, beat up the egg with soup remain then microwave again), here in UK the cup is made in PP plastic not like those in Asia in plasticform… Im fm Hong Kong and meat here is really affordable. Go Aldi get 2kg drum stick £2.59, cook ez ez soup pasta to build up body in weekend and holidays!
The last girl is cute. She kept giggling. Very Taiwanese girl's style. I like British accent very much. It just sounds so cool. Unfirtunately, I cannot understand it well. I like British style too. If UK is like a calm mature man, the America is like a brat! 🤣 Just kidding!
Interesting to hear of experiances here. But many dont really want to mix anyway. There just doing what they feel they need to and thats ok. But sometimes i feel there assumptions are wrong. I was surprised about the Burger statement. That may be students diet, It isnt mine. We could not survive if we eat Burgers and fast food always. We have good food and prepare proper meals. I havent had a Burger or a chippy meal for 2 years now. People here like Indian food a lot, I dont. To spicey for my Bum. I love Chinese foods mostly. I think its just that students do what they have to do and everyone else here have there lives and get on with it. Paths dont cross that often. But your questions recieve a lot of assumptions on that Basis. But most people here are happy to interact and chat, Its just different paths i guess.
It sounds like they did tried to mingle but I guess the heavy drinking and recreational drug use in uni , not having much in common between 2 culture, Brits tend to be more reserved and introvert . Not just the Taiwanese but I’ve heard lot of expats shared similar view on the difficulties on making local friends here.
I made quite some elder friends in the church, luckily they thought I am Japanese if they don’t know Hong Kong. it seems like the young generation in the city, are far too busy to make new friends, unless their hormones force them to

Food?? try Visit Malaysia..According to most expatriates it's a food heaven with diverse melting pots of delicious multi-racial n multi-etchnic cuisines😅😅

As a Taiwanese, you should know Kaohsiung is not the second but the third largest city in Taiwan.
