My wife and I were staying with a friend and his wife in Aspen, CO, when this song came on, and stuck with me ever since. My wife's gone, the friends are gone, but this song, brings them back, and that beautiful weekend in Aspen.

My late husband and I attended a Seals & Crofts concert at the Dome outside Rochester, New York, many years ago, thanks to our friend Curt, who was the father-in-law of one of Seals & Crofts' roadies. Michael Murphey performed "Wildfire" that night at the concert. I think it was soon after the song was released. We met Michael and his wife before the show. Of course we were thrilled when we realized it was his song we had been hearing on the radio. We met Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts after the show. What a wonderful evening and memory for a small-town couple! We were married for 60 years and still mentioned that evening throughout our time together.

It's where people have had near death experiences and what they saw on the other side for those brief moments. They are beautiful!!! It changed the way I feel about losing people and pets in my life. I'm no longer sad. I Highly recommend watching those on TH-cam. It will change your whole perspective 😊

She had 8 children in her vehicle and I swerved real hard to avoid hitting her because I was concerned about the children. I had a Traumatic Brain Injury and I was in a coma for 7weeks. I walked with my Lord and Savior Jesus. I. Thought I had passed away from the Accident. But Jesus said that I had more to do here with my family. I've become more confident that it was a real experience

I was a senior in high school when this song hit the airwaves. Back then, it was just another tune written by another country singer. I'm now 66 years of age. I've been listening to this fabulous page out of my past and am amazed at just how quickly it conjures up so many different yet poignant memories each and every time I hear it. It's almost as though I'm staring at a reflection in in a hazy window but can never pin down whether or not I'm on the outside looking in or vice versa. Loves that have been lost, loves that have been won and some that never even had a chance. I will always drift back to my youth whenever this songs graces my sense of hearing and I will always be grateful for the peace and tranquility that it provides. Thank You M.M.M for this precious gift!

Back in the 70’s I worked in a little downtown beer & wine bar frequented by a great variety of folks. We had one regular customer come in as soon as we opened up every day - an old guy ravaged by time and alcohol who had given in to his addiction long ago. He used to sit by himself at a little table near the jukebox every day, order a beer, and play this song over and over, singing along with it at top volume with all his heart. He never bothered anybody, and after a few beers he’d get up and walk out. I can never hear this song without thinking of this old man. He sure did love that magic horse.

This song, in part, is about "the Rainbow Bridge." I died and was sent back on February 5, 2022. The first thing that I remember seeing was all of my pets in a group. They recognized me, and I remember searching for specific ones and finding them all. It was seeing them that told me I was leaving this world. As this song implies, our pets are the gate keepers of heaven. God sends them to get us when it's time to go.

There’s something magical about this song…… Between the guitar playing and the keyboards it’s just amazing how it takes me to heaven and I feel like I’m close to God every time I listen to it. It makes me wonder if this gentleman knows God and if he can feel it when he sings it too, it’s such a blessing to me and after all these years, it still affects me the same way. I sit and listen with no other sound and it touches my soul deeply. Thank you for being obedient to write this song. I know it’s touched hundreds of people-if not, thousands…….it brings me such peace, it’s amazing and I’m so glad I have it to listen to over and over again. Love in Christ, Tania Rose

Oh sweetie this isn't country music by any means. It was called folk music or soft rock. But as a 1970's youth I'm really glad you enjoyed it. We had a lot of great black bands and also great bands with black & white people in them. We would go to the dance clubs and we all were together black & white. One of my favorite bands was called Hot Chocolate and one of my favorite songs of theirs was called Every1's A Winner. They had a lot of great songs and they were a black & white band. All of those guys were so handsome. Google them and try to find the Video of them singing that song. I promise you'll love it. 👍

I’m so very sorry to hear about your mother with her battle with breast cancer. I know how awful it is. My sister is going through the exact same thing with breast cancer that spread through her body. She starts her 2nd bout of even stronger Chemo that is sure to make her hair fall out and make her very sick.
She’s 9 years older than me at 67 and her being a teenager in the late 60s and early 70s, she taught me about all these bands and musicians and we would listen to records together. I was 4 and she 13 in 1969 when she started as my Rock&Roll Teacher, despite the serious generation gap between our parents and us kids, who hated Rock&Roll. (Though this song is a beautiful ballad, and considered soft rock.) My sister would often babysit me on the weekends and she’d sneak us to concerts in Miami with her hippie friends.. I would ,literally, be the youngest kid there.
She was a very caring sister. I hope she makes it through this disease, but if she doesn’t, I’ll always have sadness in my heart for the rest of my life.
Again, I’m so sorry to hear about your mommy. Incredibly mine, as well as my dad are still alive at 92 and 95. My parents and I are all heartbroken that this is happening to her.
I very much hope your mommy pulls through this dreaded disease. You have my sympathies.

I’m so jealous that in music nowadays it’s not like this and other bands in 1960’s 1980’s and some of the 90’s

This song reminds me of the time losing my wife to a vehicle accident 40 years ago, this was one of our favorite songs. It brings back such bittersweet memories!

My God that piano intro is from some celestial place! Gives me chills every time I play this. Michael chose the perfect player to play that intro for a live setting. Fantastic musicians on that stage. Long before protools and auto tune. When musicians rehearsed until it was perfect and didn’t depend on technology to make it better. People were playing complex music to perfection for over 500 years before the technology. I wish they would go back to recording old school live in the studio with very few overdubs. The music used to have a heartbeat and swing. Todays music sounds like a machine droning that has no way to give you chills of joy. Chills of pain is about it. Thank goodness there are a few bands that still make it old school.

It IS magical isn't it? I can think of no other song that envelopes me in such melancholy and yearning as does this one. In my mind, Wildfire is a once in a lifetime song.

Oh I'm crying. This is my "go to" song when I've had enough but tears won't fall, because I refuse to cry..Hate it. MMM is not appreciated enough..or Dave Hoffner He is another I will listen to when I have had enough. The best on any kind of keys. What a talent. And they are all so smart to work together. MMM has played this song a thousand different ways, but this is my favorite.

I hear ya man, I’m just a 71 year old kid but this song always takes me back to 1975 and a girlfriend I had that had a horse named Domino. She loved that horse. He hated me, I took her away from him. Gonna see her next wknd at a barrel racing derby, she’s 65 and still doing it!!!
