Good timing lol I've been replaying game boy zelda games on the 3DS after discovering that game boy and game boy color games can be played in 3D on 3DS consoles by simultaneously pressing both the select button and the A button and holding them until the Nintendo 3DS logo dissappears upon initial load. Have fun y'all!
For real? I didn't know if this was a thing in 3DS. I'm gonna try it. EDIT: It totally works! More reason for me to continue Link Awakening DX. I've not playing that game for months.
@@firzaprama7 Not only it works, but the on-screen game boy changes depending if you're playing a GBC or DMG GB game! And the 3D effect adds the space between the screen and the glass. It's such a cool detail.

I remember saving up my money for Power Quest and in secret when I was supposed to be at the Reston Library doing research for some project I couldn't care less about for school, I ran over to the Best Buy a block away and bought it, ran like hell back to the library with the game tucked away in my cargo pocket and was picked up by my father a couple hours later at predetermined time That was agony waiting till I got home to play it, but man it was so worth it. I know Pokemon was a global force by then, but the concept of a fighter-RPG that had a dedicated PvP mode...that was brilliant
Wahey, Power Quest made it in! Genuinely great little fighter that even the most hardcore fighting game fans can enjpy. Best thing about the game is it's Super Gameboy compatible and supports multiple controllers.
Whoa, there was a Beast Wars game for the GBC?! How did I miss that?? Definitely nabbing that to play, as it looks like a solid fighter for the GBC. Also, glad to see Power Quest getting a shoutout. Such a unique, underrated game! The GBC was always one of my favorite consoles, and learning about more games for it is a treat. Another excellent video here man!

I didn't notice any mention of it, but Wendy: Every Witch Way has GBA-exclusive levels. It's been a while since I've played it, but you should be able to unlock that extra content by playing it in a GBA emulator, or even meddling with the settings of a GBC emulator.
to be fair I'm pretty sure TVGS likes literally every single game that exists. I don't think I've seen him give a single negative critique about a game lol
Two of my favorite GBC games that no one talks about are: Daiku no Gen-san: Kachikachi no Tonkachi ga Kachi (Carpenter Gen) and then Samurai Kid Both are awesome puzzle platformers.
Great with some GameBoy Color love! I jumped directly from GB to GBA, but it definitely had some gems. My personal recommendation (as a huge Tintin fan), is Tintin in Tibet. It's a great platformer with a lot of variety in its gameplay and a fantastic chiptune soundtrack.
oh wow! Thx for letting me know about Star Ocean: Blue Sphere! nvr knew there was a sequel to 2nd Story and will definitely be playing it after the remake! :-D

Nice to know that the developers wanted to go the extra mile by adding something like this.
The best and the most criminally underrated game is Samurai Kid. There ia eng translation, but even without it, the game is one of the bes not just for GBC but overall as a game no matter the console.

Wow, I've never before seen anyone mention Azure Dreams for the Gameboy. Sure, it lacks some of the "charm" of the PS1 version, but with so many more levels and loads more potential hours of game play in one playthrough, it really is a monstrous adventure.
I loved "getting good" with Mr. Driller, but I do regret the developer's decision not to include a save battery because all of your progress and accumulated points are deleted as soon as you turn off the console. Oh well, it's still a hidden gem.

If u play this on ur gba it forces it to play in “GBA Mode”. which unlocks a new mode called “Advance World” and it includes 3 levels exclusive to GBA. u can also use a romhack if ur emulating to get to play it in GBA Mode!

I think emulation is a vital part of gaming culture as a whole. Many games never get the chance to be widely available or are far out of people’s price range. As a result emulation is the only option for many people to experience them and the more people that can play games, I’m all for it.
