How did you deal with the lines where the nails are? I just used the diamond brush exactly like you did on my old deck and now I’m at the point where I need to clean up the lines where I went in between the rows of screws and nails. So what was your solution to clean those areas up? I’m thinking maybe flap discs on the angle grinder could work, but I’m not sure.
@@jeffellis6544 I used this tool on a couple of decks. The one in the video I used a turbo nozzle on my pressure washer to finish it off. On the other decks I hammered down the nails and just went over it with the Diamabrush. The tool was barely damaged , so you should be good
Thanks. That’s where I’m at now. It’s a 30 yr old deck that’s had a number of people work on it over the years, and a lot of extra nails and screws were added rather than replaced. So on some rows there are 4-5 mix of both in each slat row. So I’m pulling where I can and sinking the rest so I can finish it.
Good video demo of showing that Diamabrush Wheel vs pressure washer, thanks for posting...
Thanks! I thought I was going to need to buy the shroud but it looks like it works without it.
good video, project came out very nice.
@@jalkabre5904 thanks!
Good work Bud. Lots of labor.
@@MARCUSGURGANUS indeed it was. It was a learning process too. I've since learned that home depot has equipment you can rent that may make it easier
Excellent video. I had no idea how to go about doing this. You saved the day! Thank you
Much appreciated, good luck with your project!
If you get the gurad it will help keep it level
Good stuff. Like the before and after
Appreciate it!
Nice work man looks great 👍. I’m about to do the same thing to my deck
Awesome, good luck!
You are a saver bro, my deck really needs this
Nice work.. which paint did you use? Mine didn’t last one season,.
I think it was Sherwin Williams textured paint. It was hella expensive tho.
Where did you get that Diamabrush wheel ?

I’m on my 3rd Diamabrush now…. But it’s still better than paint stripper
Thanks for the info. Appreciate it.
You bet!
Nice job! If you remove the paint could you use oil stain? Instead after dimabrush?
Not entirely sure. try to find something to test it on.
Yes
Ridiculous! Soo good
Nice thanks
I’m getting a ton of swirl marks. Is this normal?
Hope you got it figured out!
What did you charge for this job?
This was one of 4 decks. I was helping a buddy and he paid me to pressure wash, prep and paint some. I think he paid me $4k
I’d recommend just getting a hand planer followed by sanding if needed
Pressure washer sand blaster attachment stop wasting time with the angle grinder.
I've never heard of that. Is there one that you recommend
