Wayfair IS the best... almost all of my furniture is Wayfair and it’s gorgeous stuff. They offer everything from high end to low end, there’s stuff for every budget!
I like to go on Facebook marketplace and search for Wayfair (and other stores/brands I like such as Target, Amazon, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Crate & Barrel, World Market, Magnolia, Opal House), because people often list them for sale when they don't want to bother with returns. 😁 I've seen rugs, dressers, tables, chairs, sofas, etc. for half price, brand new! 🤑❤
And Wayfair has an excellent return/ damage policy 🙌🏻

Julie Khuu Thank you! Good advice - it does help to check rates at multiple places. Sometimes they just alter the names but the furniture looks the same. I bought a chair that had 4 different names in 4 different sites, same design, color, and country of origin. 😆

Julie Khuu this is a good idea! Like outlet placements & additions. Code doesn’t always equal style. I have plug under each window for colonial candle in each window. Install outlet high on wall for plug in clock. Sconce plug-in alternatives. Title could be “It’s Electric!”

Color is definitely difficult to discern online, just make sure the vendor has a reasonable return policy. Thank you for watching and the tip 👍🏻
Another watching tip is that you can click the three little dots at top right and choose a slower "playback speed," like 0.75x. I don't find Julie's delivery too fast, but I definitely use it for some folks' stuff (especially ASMR!).

Another great video Julie, thank you. I haven't made any large purchases online as am still leary. I have been checking return policies and now I'll also use the filter for more desired options.
I want to find value, definitely comfort and durability in a sofa & other pieces.
I will say that reading reviews has led me not to make some purchases.
I never thought that some couch cushions that aren't attached also are not reversible. Seems deceptive to not use same fabric on both sides of a couch cushion. I guess that's what you might find on lower end of pricing.

I purchase so much online, it helps to shop at reputable vendors of course. Those I listed below have great options at all price points. If I don’t expand my search online, I’m relegated to shopping locally and it’s slim pickins sometimes 🤦🏼♀️
With leather sofas, they often say they do this separate back fabric so the cushions can "breathe."
I shop at The Range, B&M, Dunelm, (are like Target) Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, (better quality), Home Living, TKMaxx and Homesense🇬🇧

Your stance on buying secondhand furniture to re-purpose and reupholster has really opened my eyes to more possibilities! I love that it's a more sustainable alternative to buying new, often low-quality and cheaply made furniture. Do you have any recommendations for furniture brands who have a more sustainable/ethical supply chain?
ABC Carpet and Home, Cisco home, west elm, crate and barrel are a few. So many new amazing lines that come out, I don’t even have a chance to check them all out! I love sourcing vintage furniture from 1st dibs and Etsy too!

I was wondering if the way you save photos and compare and cross off items is a specific app or was that just a video edit? Always have someone with you whether buying or selling Felicia. If that’s not possible, call someone on a video chat and screen record your conversation, you can never be too careful! Also cash is king and great for negotiating 😄

Hi Julie, it's time to buy a new kitchen table. Currently, I have a 54" X 54" square table. I've fallen in love with a 54" diameter round table. Will it be a little smaller than the current table because it doesn't have corners? I want it to look a little smaller in my space, lol.
Yes, you might lose a couple seats (6 comfortably) on the round table

Love your decor tips but what products do you use in your hair to get that bounce?
I use Design Line’s putty (Amazon) to keep the stray hairs down, but no other products for bounce! It’s the way my stylist cuts my hair Lucianne. I don’t even style/ blow dry it. Ask for a “textured” cut 👍🏻☺️

I'm looking at some furniture from Castlery. Do you have any experience with their pieces? It's online-only, and I'm nervous about ordering without seeing items in person.
I'm moving and need to furnish an entire townhouse (only thing I'm taking with me is my West Elm Lana bed frame) because nothing from my current house will fit. It's overwhelming.
I’ve heard great reviews, they’re considered mid-range like West Elm quality

I love your videos and so need your help. I just purchased a house and every room the previous owner decorated in Japanese theme even down to the wall paper. It's taking all my energy to undo what she did and I don't have the money right now to redo every room at one time. I know you can't come to NY but help me please with my guest bathroom. It has a red Japanese border. Do I decorate the bathroom according to the color in there right now or do I gut the bathroom and do my own color? How do I get rid of that border without destroying the wall?
Is the border made of paper or tile La’Meek? Paper is easy to remove with a wallpaper remover tool and spray from your local hardware store, it will cost you less than $20 to do so. Tile, you would have to either paint or demo. Up to you, but I would totally gut and revamp in your own style!

Julie Khuu they do! I just got some organizing furniture hand delivered from Big Lots last week (ordered online and delivered from a local store). And purchased artificial trees and potted plants from Hobby Lobby online. Both always have good bargains!

I love the convenience of shopping online but what if the product or furniture color is not how it looked on the website? I can't tell you how many times I 've had to return bedding because the color is off but returning a large ticket item like furniture is risky. I know most companies allow you to return but I would have to pay for the shipping. Do you have any tip for this challenge?
If color is a huge factor (especially when not neutral), prioritize shopping in stores Liz. Might not be the answer you’re looking for, but it’s the most prudent choice. Some companies will send you fabric swatches of the upholstery before purchasing, but some don’t so definitely proceed with caution.

I know most people have white kitchen cabinets but what if you have a maple, walnut brown or honey blonde cabinets? What color wood furniture would go best with these colors in an open floor plan?
